June 13, 201115 yr I really don't think a couple that has had a serious and extended relationship can be "friends". Sure, they can be civil and mature about not being in a relationship, but from my experiences it just doesn't work being friends after you've been seriously involved. I'm not trying to give any advice with that statement, just an observation. It just depends on what the couple was like while they were dating. I've seen a lot of my friends remain close friends after breaking up.Exactly. The more serious, the less likely friendship will be easy or comfortable. It was quite a serious relationship, yes. For now i'm not talking to her, I will, and want to, when i'm ready. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM

You will be able to deal with relationships better if you're in a better state of mind.

June 13, 201115 yr Here is a very interesting thesis to read... at your own risk. Don't read this if you wanna keep living in the matrix/Disney fantasy world of relationships :P If you're currently having problems getting over your ex or have lost your faith in relationships, you may find this very intriguing. If you're currently in a long-term relationship... it's probably best not to read it >_> [spoiler=Read at your own risk][spoiler=Seriously... read at your own risk][spoiler=ok, here it is]http://www.blackdragonsystem.com/uploads/3/9/7/2/3972480/why_long_term_monogamy_doesnt_work.pdf
June 14, 201115 yr I think it depends on how the two people were before entering a relationship. A couple who were friends before who then break up might find the emotional side of things more easier, and might recognise the boundaries between 'friends' and anything else better than two people who didn't really have any sort of friendship before hooking up. This is 3am 'I can't get to sleep' talk. Sorry if it makes no sense. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
June 14, 201115 yr That chapter is flawed. Though some statistics are good, there are many issues with his arguments. For example: But it gets even worse. The smarter a woman is, and/or the more educated she is, the more likely she is to divorce you. The 82% of woman-initiated divorces climbs up to 91% and higher if the woman is college-educated and/or has an above-average IQ. (Same sources as aboveagain, look it up for yourself if you dont believe me.)Smart women are what most men look for when looking for a wife! They dont realize they are actually increasing the chances of getting a wife who will eventually divorce them! We just cant win, cant we guys? The chapter fails to mention that the more educated the people involved are, the less likely they are to divorce in the first place. So no, when you combine the two statistics, marrying a more educated woman will not increase your chances of divorce, it will decrease them. Whatevs. I'm pretty dang sure me and my girlfriend fall in to that "13%", though I resent our lifestyle being called boring. We're definitely low maintenance and neither of us particularly care about sex. We're about being there for the other person, and trusting the other absolutely about everything.

June 14, 201115 yr Strange. She texted me last night saying she NEEDED to talk to me, and that she had something to give me. After my exam today, she gave me an envelope saying my name on it, but didn't actually talk to me. Seems to me like she's to screw with my head. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
June 14, 201115 yr As far as I recall she's not a pirate. She told me yesterday over text not to open it until this evening, which is weird. I'm thinking whatever it is, she doesn't want to be a around to see the result. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
