November 3, 201114 yr Apparently the high school down the road from my college is an all-girls Catholic school. That explains the mass amount of [bleep]ty girls attending here. Tumblr. Follow me!
November 3, 201114 yr So the new medication I am on for a condition I have is injected at home with something akin to an epipen (except a totally different drug inside), rather than by IV at the hospital. The conveniance is nice, since the injections for the last drug suck up a few hours of your life every few weeks. Today was my first time doing it on my own, and I still find it really weird. The procedure for this drug makes it so that the needle doesn't hit your muscle, which means it doesn't hurt all that much, and it stops hurting almost immediately (as opposed to say a flu shot which can make your muscle sore for a while), and that's nice, but its still really weird sit there, holding the injector against yourself and trying to push a button that you know is going to push a spring loaded needle into you. There is a part of the brain that just really doesn't want you do something to yourself that you know full well is going to hurt. What also still kinda amazes me is you can't feel it when it goes in. I remember being told how part of pain is just what you imagine based on what you see, and you can't see the needle of the injector while its doing its thing. It actually takes about a second for you to really feel anything, and I suspect that most of the pain is actually from the fluid build up (because its injecting about a millilitre of fluid into you), not the needle itself. Once the introduction schedule is over with, I get to do this once a week, for the next few years at least. I figure it gets way easier with time though.

As a mild trypanophobe, I sorta cringed reading this. What are you on the medication for anyway, if I ma ask?

November 3, 201114 yr I have Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Not entirely sure which one, but they suspect its Ulcerative Colitis. The medication keeps the inflammation and internal bleeding away, so even sticking yourself with a needle is a huge step up form the alternative. I used to be afraid of needles, but after a while, you get pretty used to them. My sister in law in phobic of them though. I don't think she can normally even stand to be in a hospital at all.

November 3, 201114 yr I've been playing with Illustrator all day. Possibly one of the most frustrating program I've ever come across. My hand is in the shape of a claw and I'm officially a hunchback. Inspired by Adventure Time:[hide][/hide] ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢

November 4, 201114 yr Today was a great day. Started off pretty bad though. Was woken up by my alarm clock at ~6am but put it off instead of on snooze. Woke up at 7:40 and had to be at school at 8 for an exam. Made it to class with some time to spare. Got 100% for my exam (probably the first one in 13 years) and had 2 great flights. Learned how to do different stalls and recover from them. Was pretty damn amazing!

November 4, 201114 yr It's not as exciting as you might think, but I'll tell. I wrote a lot and then realized you guys don't care about the details. Basically what happened is my girlfriend went into anaphylactic shock in the mall when I was with a friend looking for a wallet for him. I sprinted through the mall to her and called 911 and then I had to stab her with her epipen and then keep her conscious while the EMT's got there. That's more or less what happened. November 4, 201114 yr Probably, but she hadn't had anything to eat for like 2 hours so we have no idea how it happened. [bleep] the law, they can eat my dick that's word to Pimp
