March 17, 201313 yr Gonna go make preparations to rent a tuxedo for prom next month. Gotta match pink :P. Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy.

March 17, 201313 yr On St. Patrick's Day? What madness is that? Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. March 17, 201313 yr They can't celebrate if it's open now, can they? http://forum.tip.it/topic/325514-bonez899s-journey-to-an-eventual-max/ My blog of progress on Runescape.
March 17, 201313 yr I am in Poland, and I haven't seen a single Irish pub in this country...So dead, it is 8 PM and I'm falling asleep.Slovakia tomorrow. So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends. RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.I strike out every other week.Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.Randox pretty much stays rational.Etc, etc
March 17, 201313 yr I like how my housemate, who's not even remotely Irish, is celebrating with one of those Guiness hats, while I'm half-Irish and I'm not even fussed about the whole thing. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
March 17, 201313 yr To be honest, in our walk around town today the only people who seemed to be celebrating were French (I think, I couldn't really make out his slurs) tourists on a big bus. They were wearing Irish hats and drinking beer and everything.
March 17, 201313 yr St patrick's day is just an excuse for everyone to pretend they're irish. I make no such attempts. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
March 17, 201313 yr Sadly I woke up today. With the worst hangover. Every time I blinked, I could see my veins, every step made me dizzy, every fast motion I did, made me feel sick. Never touching absinthe today. Still haven't congratulated my Irish friend with Patty. Oh well. I blame the hangover. And got studies tomorrow. Back to bed. Hopefully my next Today/Tonight post will be more cheerful, if I remember this forum next time I wake up from the sleep of the dead.
March 17, 201313 yr Birmingham's full of people wearing hats and staggering everywhere. I had a KFC at 5 pm and I could count at least 6 of those hats, and there were a lot of drunk people already, which was a bit of a weird experience at that time of the day. Sadly I woke up today. With the worst hangover. Every time I blinked, I could see my veins, every step made me dizzy, every fast motion I did, made me feel sick. Never touching absinthe today. I still haven't tried absinthe yet! I'm a terrible person. I really don't know whether to look forward to it or feel nervous about it once I get round to it. The fact that I'm pulling an all nighter to work on St. Patrick's day is... not a good sign. I've planned to get drunk with mates once this term's over to make up for it. So long as I can survive tomorrow's final meeting with my supervisor, I think I can get through this. ~ W ~
March 17, 201313 yr So rotted liquorice? Driving into town now to renew my gym membership. This will be fun... Popoto.~<3
March 18, 201313 yr You are much to young to be drunk posting. [bleep] the law, they can eat my dick that's word to Pimp
March 18, 201313 yr I don't think I'll ever understand drunk posting; when I'm in that state the last thing I'm normally doing is touching a computer. Needless to say, St. Patrick's Day weekend was pretty fantastic, but I kind of burnt myself out these last three nights so I tried staying in today to get work done...only to watch six episodes of Breaking Bad instead. God this show is too good. Hopefully I can still get at least some of my work done tonight though.
March 18, 201313 yr I've always been under the impression that the Irish would be celebrating the least, minus the Irish pubs in foreign lands cashing in on the whole thing. It seems to be a holiday that was invented by everyone except the Irish as an excuse to get blitzed, but I could be wrong.
March 18, 201313 yr I actually learned this morning that It originally began as a celebration of Christianity coming to Ireland.
March 18, 201313 yr Yeah, it's more of a corruption of what was originally a religious holiday, where almost none of the original thing remains. It's a bit like Christmas or Hallowe'en, but with alcohol instead of rampant consumerism. ~ W ~
March 18, 201313 yr I'll take alcohol over rampant consumerism any day. It's almost as expensive, but much more fun. :P Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. March 18, 201313 yr Ah, drunk TIFing. A tradition, I hope never dies amongst us. I can't remember who started it, I just have the weirdest memory of a couple posters from the old Today... thread doing it once in a while. When I started drinking, it just seemed sooo appealing. The rest is history. I'm glad to see others are carrying that torch. Despite this being my first St Paddy's day, I remained home to watch Walking dead and fall asleep real early after working a 600 person party on Saturday (and then cleaning up after it all day Sunday). Watched some Kenan&Kel, researched what Kel's been doing with his life. Turns out his llfe is Good Burger. He owns a ton of Wendy's restaurants in Mississippi. Watched Ron White's new standup special for the troops with Ralphie May and Josh Blue. Great set. Tomorrow I have a date that I'm not really super excited about, but if it turns sour, I'll be up in college town area, so it won't be hard to turn my night better. March 18, 201313 yr I still haven't tried absinthe yet! I'm a terrible person. I really don't know whether to look forward to it or feel nervous about it once I get round to it. If you can handle strong alcohols, try it, if not, you'll experience hell, and maybe scars. I got small, stripey wounds all over my back from that evening, might turn into scars if I continue to scratch on it, the rest of the details I'll leave out. But yeah, with absinthe, it's supposed to be watered out (didn't do it) and a sugar cube (didn't do that too), told that to my male company, and he said: "Only if it's real absinthe!" sigh. :P
March 18, 201313 yr just got home from GYM. currently I weigh 85kg, and I'm hoping by mid-year to drop down to 70kg. Popoto.~<3
March 18, 201313 yr People make a much bigger deal out of Absinthe than it really is. Lot's of folklore with it. Had some a few years back when a friend brought a bottle back from Amsterdam. Still, if/when that chance to have a drink of it presents itself, at least you can say you've had it.
