Ugh, I'm hoping it doesn't feature around a character like Mai or Arika. Just can't stand characters like those, they're too... happy and with that motherly complex. Now Natsuki is a badass character though her pistols were a little meh compared to that huge [wagon] canon she had in Mai Otome. And Nao didn't get enough screentime but she did have a significant part in the story and she was hugely underrated. I hated Mikoto because she was too naive with all the 'I LOVE YOU MAIIII' and 'DONT YOU LOVE ME :(, IM NAIVE' Ugh, gonna' shut up before my fangirl side makes an appearance.

 

 

 

Dude what the hell? The episode release dates at like 5 months apart o.O Worse than Candy Boy which is 1/2 months apart.

 

 

 

Mmm, the latest episode of Toradora was awesome, especially the fight scene between the president and Taiga... though the animation was a bit shotty.

I don't really watch anime, but I've stumbled across a few I've enjoyed over the years. I really like(d) Gundam Wing, for example. Anyway, I was bored last night and ended up watching Elfen Lied, and am about 6 episodes into it. It's pretty messed up, but I'm kind of engrossed in it.

Haha, pretty? :P A girlfriend of mine introduced me to this show like a year ago, saying "okay, I know you don't like anime, but this show is really great. You'll love it!". So I watched it. All I remember is that the entire first episode was spent following this (presumably) underage girl around as she's wandering around naked, killing a bunch of innocent people with her psychic power after breaking out of some kind of test chamber. It was extremely gory and pretty ridiculous. Because not only does she rip peoples' bodies apart, she also has a pair of rabbit ears and acts all cutesy and innocent (trademark of every female anime character ever) later when she meets two kids outside. Oh, and when the boy tells her to [bleep] off, she doesn't rip his body in two, no, she runs away crying. I just didn't get it at all. Maybe it picks up after the first episode or something?

 

 

 

The biggest problem I have with anime series is how they don't seem to let you think for yourself. I am fully aware that if a character kills the protagonist's best friend, the protagonist will do [X] (whatever he intends to do will become apparent within seconds), I do not need six of his other friends explaining to me in detail what he's going to do. Maybe a bad example, but anybody who's watched anime probably knows what I'm referring to. I noticed this a lot in both Death Note and Blood+... and it just totally kills the "immersiveness" for me. Well, that and animes' unfathomable need for "cutesy" and oftentimes extremely ditsy girls.

Azvareth, those cute, ditsy girls are for fanservice my boy, fanservice. Though some may not like those naive girls, there's a HUGE fanbase who love them. Must be their moe nature.

 

 

 

Also Lucy (the naked girl) is naked because she was captured (and experimented on?) but she broke free and clothes must have been the last thing on her mind in that lab. Those aren't rabbit ears (she ain't one of those half cat/half human known as neko's), they're horns but they do look like ears and she has a split personality. Her evil sadistic side is Lucy and her cute, innocent side is Nyu. She's normally in Nyu mode but when she hits her head or is faced by violence, she turns into Lucy [scary].

 

 

 

And she's eighteen, perfectly legal.

Macross Frontier is about outer space stuff right? I'm thinking Outlaw Star and Cowboy Bebop. And maybe Tenchi Muyo.

 

 

 

You know, I can't get into mecha anime at all. Full Metal Panic I stomached and Kannazaki no Miko (But who watched the mecha stuff in that? :P), but other than that, they bore me.

 

 

 

Also all my Touhou stuff is growing. Just downloaded that Touhou VocalBGM :D

I was really impressed by Elfen Lied. I just failed to mention all the naked girls when I wrote an essay on it in high school. =D> There's a decent level of depth to it if you know where to look for it.
