What's everyone's view on this? Jagex will be removing the Compliments and Rants forum sometime this week and will be introducing the new Game Feedback forum. I personally see it as a good idea for a step in a new direction, it's true the Rants forum is filled daily with crap that doesn't belong there and hopefully this will put an end to most of it.

I don't think this will be a good idea. Rants mixed in with suggestions? Any good suggestions will be hard to find and most likely be spammed by the angry ranters and such. I like the forums the way they are :thumbsup:

That's great! Now there won't be as many spam threads in the rants forums that have nothing to do with in game content anymore, such as the weather :lol:

Not, suggestions, compliments. It wasn't right to divide it up like that, it sends the message 'People who don't like us go over there where we can ignore you.' Ranters end up bouncing their anti-Jagex ideas off each other without any voice of reason; hence the sheer amount of spam.

Oh well I doubt Jagex took rants and compliments too seriously anyway, theyve always been focused on suggestions..and its a good thing too since majority of the people on rants are ranting about stuff like their cat(ingame) doesnt come in the color pink or that bh is the *cabbagiest* minigame ever made.

It's about time they did something about that abomination that is the RSOF rants forum. :lol: Maybe (hopefully...) with a name like "game feedback" it'll actually get more constructive criticism in it.

It's not like anyone used the compliments section anyways. It's just another section screaming spam - rants with a more aesthetic name.

Personally I'm for this idea. I've looked through the rants many times but only the compliment forums once or twice, and by the looks of it, that's how many players seem to be as well. :P

People are usually happier to voice their grievances than their praise.

I think the forums are good as they are now, but perhaps it will get better with this new forum? Myself I think it won't though, since it will be hard to find the suggestions with all the rants :P But you never know, it might work.

Well its obviously to make them look good. -Removing rants- But otherwise its kinda annoying for both jagex and players trying to find rant or compliment type threads.

 

 

 

Compliments will not only be hard to find but unless they increase the 50 pages then well.. They wont last very long compared to rants tbh.
