September 21, 200817 yr In each member world, there is one wraith spawn. There are, I don't know, say 10,000 people wanting to take a wack at getting an elixir in total, and maybe 500 ay any given time? there are only like 120 members worlds, so what does this mean? People are competing with eachother over one spawn per world. Granted, it isn't as bad as metal dragons where there are 5 steel spawns a world, but that is single combat. Imagine how hectic it would be at steels if it were multi?? Jagex should seriously consider adding tormented wraith in diffirent parts of the castle. Maybe one in each hallway on each floor? There would be enough for everyone, without over crowding. But it needs to be balanced, if there are that many there should be a longer spawn time. September 22, 200817 yr Im a 123 and am getting crashed by 130+ every 30 minutes or so. Ill probably ease off trying to get an elixir for a while until the hype dies down its just not worth me losing my dwindling patience!

On limited lootshare worlds, where teams fight oneantoher I don't see the issue here. If you mean that teams are fighting one another over who gets the spot/elixir, then they need to grow up and learn to cooperate. That's all that is. If they can't, just wait a month and a half until the hype dies down. [sheesh, why do so many people have to be so damn immature over one thing...] Linux User/Enthusiast | Full-Stack Software Engineer | Stack Overflow Member | GIMP User...Alright, the Elf City update lured me back to RS over a year ago.
September 22, 200817 yr This is a sore spot. And to you people sayin deal with it, act your age etc... what game are you playing? anytime there is a contested spawn like this in ANY online mmo people act like this. Personaly i love it, drama like this makes the game fun.
September 22, 200817 yr Author That would be possible, but there is only ONE spawn a world. Even if there wasn't a rush to kill them, that is extremely small Runescape player since 2005 Ego Sum Deus Quo Malum Caligo et Barathum
September 22, 200817 yr I think the solution to this should be to make the wraith require a slayer level. Do you hate Wyverns or Warped Terrorbirds? Think again! September 22, 200817 yr I think the solution to this should be to make the wraith require a slayer level. Mainly 120+ hunting them. They usually have 75+ slayer, but probably the majority have 90+. Won't solve much.
September 22, 200817 yr I think the solution to this should be to make the wraith require a slayer level. Except most high levels have that high of a slayer level, and, it your talking very high, they would need to change the drop rate, and the shield prices would be retartedly high. 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th

September 22, 200817 yr Good thing I'm level 138. Most people hop for me ;) Amen for high combat. Except most people don't believe that my melee stats are as bad as they are at 133. OT: Competition is what MMORPGs are all about. I'd like to see more of this, personally. It rewards only the high level players - Too many updates seem to be for mid level players with something for high levels thrown in (I'm referring to mid level as 100-120 and high level as 120+) Drops: 1x Draconic Visage, 56x Abyssal Whip, 5x Demon Head, D Drops: 37, Barrows Drops: 43, DK Drops: 29GWD drops: 14,000x Bars, 1x Armadyl Hilt, 2x Armadyl Skirt, 4x Sara Sword, 1x Saradomin Hilt, 8x Bandos Hilt, 8x Bandos Platebody, 9x Bandos Tassets, 4x Bandos Boots, 43x Godsword Shard, 82x Dragon BootsDry streak records: Saradomin 412 kills Bandos 988 kills Spirit Mages 633 kills - Slayer Sucks
September 22, 200817 yr Competition is good. Don't like it? Get better. Thanks to all those who have messaged me concerning a revamp of my Range-Slayer guide. Because of you all I will start rewriting it asap.[/color] Formerly RobinHoodie.
September 22, 200817 yr This same "problem" (I personally wouldn't want to use that word) has been here with many other updates too. When iron dragons came, they were fully packet. When the mith dragons came, slower people couldn't even get a fight. With hunter there's been a lot of competition. Waterfiends were packet when the spot came to larger attention. The point is that right after update certain things are popular and by time people will go for other things. If you aren't up for competition, wait for few weeks and go then. I'd rather die for what I believe in than live for anything else.Name Removed by Administrator ~Turtlefemm

September 22, 200817 yr Competition is good. Don't like it? Get better. Well-designed competition is good. Stupidly-designed competition is bad. Why make a monster that is easy to kill and has good drops, but then restrict how often it can be killed by limiting it to one per world? Why create a situation that puts players at each other's throats unnecessarily? It's simply bad design, period. However, now it seems that you complain to complain. Every single update seems to push your buttons. Why do you still play? September 22, 200817 yr Qeltar has a valid complaint, as does WkW. Jagex does this same thing over and over again... And it's really bloody tiresome. They seem to enjoy fracturing the community by pitting players against each other. In almost any update that is worthwhile, they provide far too limited resources to manage the "rush" of the update crowd. Honestly, the best fix to this is to make it where everyone has their own "instance" in Wraith's realm, but "his powers have corrupted the area" so that you cannot use prayers. Also give him a ranged attack that he will only use if you try to safe-spot him. This eliminates the fierce player competition, but makes it where the difficulty of the battle is raised to compensate.

Back in RS1, do you remember waiting to kill the new quest bosses? Then they came out with the flashing arrow thingy, like in Barrows. They could do that here, but then it wouldn't be multi. What Jagex wants (I believe) is to bring together the community. "The greatest joy a man can know is to conquer his enemies and drive them before him. What Jagex wants (I believe) is to bring together the community. Laff. If that is truly their goal, then they are even more hopelessly clueless than I originally thought. If they ACTUALLY played their game, they'd know how self-absorbed the vast majority of players are... The CB brought players together, as it is so powerful that you can only hope to kill it with a large team. This, however, is easily soloable, even without prayer... Thus, there is no need for a multi-combat arena. A monster so easy that is available to anyone in the world only serves to fracture the community, not bring it together. The exact same problem was what caused all the tension at Bandos... It was the easiest GWD boss by far, thus overcrowding occurred. However, people would take large teams, so that compensated for only having one boss. With this, everybody alone is vying for a kill, so it's far more frustrating than Bandos.

September 22, 200817 yr You guys do realize they only put one per world for a reason right? From my knowledge there are two things that drop elixirs one being the CB and the other being the wrath. When the CB is so hard to defeat why would they make such an easy monster as the wraith so plentiful that thousands of people could be killing it, and potentially getting elixirs, at any given time? All people seem to do now is complain. If Jagex would have put 20 on each world then elixir prices would drop faster people would eventually find it not as profitable and be mad about that. Bottom line is everyone will never be happy, but some people just complain to hear themselves speak. :wall:
