December 22, 200817 yr My Boss. well is a flat out paranoid ....evil person. I work at an Animal Hospital as a kennel worker. My boss complains like there's no tomorrow. Every little detail left undone shes on EVERYONES [wagon]. I was doing laundry one day, (towels and blankets and such..) I know how to fold a towel correctly. But no, she wants it done her way. So he snatches out of my hands and shows me how to do it. Constantly tells us to find something to do, when shes doing nothing. She doesn't care about anyone there, all she cares about is the hospital. My Coworker's dad had passed away, and all my boss says to her is "Gee thats too bad, now get to work." Of course she gave her some time off but COME ON! Basically to sum it up she is: Anti_Social Paranoid Careless thoughtless cold-heartted Rude Just not a people-person. Since the beginning of 07, 5-6 kennel workers have quit because of her attitude. I'm not letting this happen to any coworkers, nor myself this time. I'm reporting her to the Owner of the hospital, at evaluations. Because this is ridiculous. Anyyways enough ranting about my own boss. What is yours like?

December 22, 200817 yr I don't have a boss, never have and I'm doing my very best to make sure I never do. What's your status? Self-employed, freeloader, or bum? :P I've never had a job yet but I do plan on getting one fairly soon.
December 22, 200817 yr I don't have a boss, never have and I'm doing my very best to make sure I never do. thats the spirit, but it's going to be very very hard. as for me, the only boss i'm going to have now is my dad.

December 22, 200817 yr I don't have a boss, never have and I'm doing my very best to make sure I never do. 8-) I did have a boss when I did summer job stints as a teen, and in the army (in the form of superior ranked officers that could also order you to bring them a drink after training etc)... But never had a 'job boss' per se, because I mostly do full-time stock investment for a living. If there's nothing interesting going on during the day though, & my friends are all at work, I just browse forums like this, read financial news etc.. I'm interested in looking into other business though, such as a partial ownership share of a night club etc. I only had simple office jobs as a teen, can't really recall having any 'nazi' bosses. Maybe a bit nitpicky and overly caring about minor details, but nothing serious. Heard countless horror stories about inadequate leadership and power abuse though, it can be hard to bear for young people just starting out in a field.
December 22, 200817 yr Bosses always suck. They always think they are better than you because they are getting paid to boss people around like a dog in a herd of sheep. It won't matter because once the jobs done(As in the sheep get there fur cut off). Then nobody cares except the sheep because they lost dignity because they are naked. and thank god I'm still a freeloading student =D> If you do things right people won't be sure you've done anything at all.
December 22, 200817 yr Bosses always suck. They always think they are better than you because they are getting paid to boss people around like a dog in a herd of sheep. lolz false, i've got a manager who is funny and loves ordering sub's for everyone, 2 assistant managers who are offering a promotion. and 4 other guys above me who i occasionally drink with on the weekends, Mark and I spent 2 hours fishing together while we were working, and this is the norm  its a very social environment where we treat each other almost as a family, and i have a deep respect with them, and when something needs to be done, you know who's responsibility it is, and that person will do it, and if he is busy with another task, another person will do his best to try and help out and get the job done, love my job :D

Most of my bosses I've gotten along with pretty well. December 22, 200817 yr Haven't had a boss in 5 years. I've either been the manager (the "boss") or became self employed/ trying to open my own store. I'll talk about the last boss that I had though. He was the most arrogant banana I've ever met. Walks around the place like Fog Horn Leg Horn, you know that cocky rooster walk where the back is straight and the neck gets pimped? Treated me like a nobody in the work place and when I ran in to him the other day had great pleasure telling him I had moved on to bigger and better things. I find people who introduce themselves to every person, no matter their job title and just give a smile, a nod of the head and say hello are the people who make great boss's. They usually have the sky as their limit. The kind who know that the cleaning lady's name is Margery and who know most of their customers on a first name basis. The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.
December 22, 200817 yr My boss is actually pretty cool. The only thing I don't like about him, is he always asks "what's left to do?" and "how long do you think that'll take?" it doesn't matter how fast you're going. Ofc, he only asks that because he has too. He'll work with us and joke as we work.Although, he does get mighty pissed if you cuss him out (as in serious cussing,) to his face, in front of customers. As apparent by this one lucky gal who was 'let go' 3 months ago. But he's also really lenient, and always gives you the benefit of the doubt. I have all the 99s, and have been playing since 2001. December 22, 200817 yr I actually have three bosses (our General Manager, and two Senior Assistant Managers above me.) Our GM and one of our SAMs are really cool. Our GM is really nice, and although he is mostly reserved, and just sits there and observes things, he's pretty cool once you start talking to him. Our one SAM is awesome, really. She's the reason that I wanted to become a manager in the first place. She always treats the employees fairly, and takes on a somewhat mother/big sister role. She also has great parties at her house, and lets me sleep there when I'm in, er, no condition to drive  The other SAM... that's a different story. She is... uh... not very nice, let's say.
December 22, 200817 yr My boss used to be the director for the Park + Rec office in my town, and in charge of all the activities/summer camp/ etc But she decided to leave to go to Florida for a better paying job, leaving behind EVERYTHING, including her own son. She is one of the few people on my list that i *almost* hate (I dont hate, its just my views, but i come pretty damn close)
December 22, 200817 yr He's a little hard to persuade, and quick to anger. But sometimes he asks me to brun people,so he's fun too.My boss.Sigh. so i herd u liek devarts? If you look at me and feel offended by my 666-ism,think.I could be just as offended by your "cross".[hide=This's why I'm hot]The Eleventh Commandment:Thou Shalst only say "Amen, brother".Amen, brother :lol:Amen, brudda (referring to the 10th commandment)amen Bruder! December 22, 200817 yr I worked briefly in a charity shop but I quit because my boss tried forcing me to a) Work all weekend with no breaks B) Tried to make me work...in school hours. And then yelled at me when I couldn't work on a thursday morning, because I was in school. Quit Runescape 30th May 2006.Thanks to Hawkxs for my signature :)
December 22, 200817 yr I had a Boss when I was working for this company during the summer, I was quite nervous meeting him, but actually, he is a really nice guy! : When we were in a meeting (Yeah, I was in a office meeting! :P), he was showing us the new logo, It had the company's name and the slogan underneath (I forgot the slogan, something to do with Lighting) but I noticed there wasn't a dot on the i. So I said that to my Boss during the meeting, he gave me my thanks (Which was expected) but after the meeting, he gave me a free KitKat Chunky! :D Really liked working at the office too, was quite hilarious at times
December 22, 200817 yr Currently not working anymore, used to work in the weekends but now that i'm in my last year i quit it (TO PARTY HELL YEAH). But to be honest he was nice ;). When i started working there i got 9/H, and if he sees you work hard he will give more, after a few weeks i already got 10.50/H. Basicly most bosses are total douches, but some aren't bad. : Some people dream of success, while others make it happen.
December 22, 200817 yr My old boss for this restaurant I worked at was a swearing maniac. I suppose it's a chef thing. My current boss at Asda is pretty nice. I think she's kind to me because I'm an innocent asian girl. ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢

December 22, 200817 yr When I worked, my boss was a stereotypical no messing around business man. However, he usually worked behind the scenes and we just had to deal with the assistant managers. To add some more details, I worked at a movie theater. Beer
