Holiday Season Tips

Not tips about the holiday, but rather... Things you are willing to share with people, as a Christmas gift, then you tend to keep quiet on RS! Here is my favourite:

 

 

 

Cockroach Workers (lvl 54) are actually a great way to train for high mid levels (80-100). They hit reasonably often, but 15 tuna get's me the following, roughly, in 35 minutes or so:

 

 

 

80 Natures

 

150 Chaos

 

2 Ranaar

 

150 Earth Runes

 

+gems, clues and other herbs.

 

25 Crimson Charms

 

15 Gold Charms

 

 

 

They are great! Easy to kill and close to a bank! Try them out!

Get some feathers, dip them in gold somewhere in around the blast furnace in Keldagrim, they alch for 1K each and that 1 gold bar can coat about 200 feathers.

If you do the Hand in the Sand quest, Bert will deliver 84 buckets of sand into your bank account daily. This nets an easy 12-13k.

 

 

 

Not much, but the extra boost in GP can come in handy if you save it up over time.

Make money while you don't play or with minimum effort, if you run on time restraints (this is common for highschool students).

  [*:1aryb4hy]If you've obtained the Varrock 3 Armor from the Varrock Achievement Diary, buy as much battlestaves as you can while wearing that armor and resell at the GE to net you a nice 75k per day.
   
  [*:1aryb4hy]UTILIZE MANAGE THY KINGDOM! One of the best offline moneymakers around. You can find out more about it in the AoW most likely.
   
  [*:1aryb4hy]Complete the Bork miniquest every day to obtain the amount of charms you'd receive from a task from Vannaka in a matter of 10-15 minutes or less.
   
  [*:1aryb4hy]Farming! Grow willow trees in all the farming allotments, then trim their branches daily and sell them on the GE. Grow whiteberries or jangerberries, popular herblore ingredients, and then pick them daily to net a nice small amount of money per day without a lot of hassle.
   
  [*:1aryb4hy]While you play, have a familiar that gathers things such as the Rock Crab, Fruit Bat, Macaw, etc. Sell what it gathers as bonus profit.
   
  [*:1aryb4hy]Go to Tears of Guthix every week to get experience in your lowest skill for free. This is very good for those who have expensive skills, such as Construction or Summoning, as their lowest skill.
   
  [*:1aryb4hy]Farming! Again! Farming herbs are a GREAT way to get double your profit! Simply grow toadflax seeds while you're logged out. They don't die often, and what you harvest usually makes up for any plant that should die. I have left herb patches for 5+ days, had 3 that died, and still came out with profit after selling the herbs that survived.

  [*:1aryb4hy]Training herblore the hard way? Access the Yanille Dungeon. Chaos Druids there are almost ALWAYS empty. Bring a macaw to increase the droprate of higher level herbs.
   
  [*:1aryb4hy]Armored Zombies. They're becoming more popular now, but they're still fantastically uncrowded. One of the best places to train combat in a "semi afk" manner.
   
  [*:1aryb4hy]Piscatoris Fishing Colony. Right outside is an iron rock triangle similar to the one that used to be in Al Kharid, great for powermining iron.

really? it's my first time playing i had no clue what to do lol. i just ran around with a lvl 4 dagger and started blitzing and poking people :mrgreen: .

Buy coloured cloves from barker for 650gp in Canafis, and sell them for MAX, 750gp, on the Grand Exchange, wich means 100gp profit per glove!

 

One run from Canafis bank to Barker, buy gloves, run back and bank is like 20 seconds, so 2,7k in 20 seconds ain't that bad heh? :)

 

Be sure to buy the Grey, Gold and Red ones though, the rest have lower GE prices.

 

Sometimes it won't sell instantly, but after 10 all my 500 gloves in different colours were gone.

 

 

 

Oh, and go to the circus every week, it means free magic, ranged and agility xp ;)

Investing isn't a secret anymore. It was easy to see the crash comming. I sold mine the day after the christmas update and made 2mil off of it :lol:

Unfortunately, no. You have to visit him daily in Yanille to get the sand.

 

 

 

However, I believe you can do Manage Thy Kingdom while you're offline for a period of time and make some profit, although it's best to log in daily and get approval to 100% and Add some cash to the coffers.

Trolheim (sp?) Is a hotspot for members in PvP worlds so you can get up your rating by alching or making bolts there or something.

 

Oh and for f2p i thought the mining guild would be nice, but it was pvp safe, so i went out and its a pvp zone but not hotspot, so you can mine there and get your rating up but not as fast if you were in a hotspot.
