Music elitism is annoying . . . Most of this forum listens to some kind of metal (do not even START on the sub-genre crap) and treats it like the ideal of what all music should be. I don't like metal. Must make me some kind of unenlightened serf. Personally I think Miley/the Jonas Brothers are terrible and the latter in particular have no musical talent at all, but you're not going to hear me calling them down for targeting a different audience and making money. I'll be content with saying they suck. I like you :3 I don't know why, but I find Miley Cyrus quite hot. I think she's gross-looking. And the accent is beyond ridiculously fake. I live in TEXAS. December 31, 200817 yr Because AC/DC is for fat 50 year olds. lol. I listened to them since I was about 16 and so do a lot of people I know who are way under 25. Guess that's a matter of taste too. I like metal mostly, but classic rock like ACDC is stylish in it's own way. Classic anything is cool in a retro way, be it jazz, rock, pop, metal, rap etc.

January 2, 200917 yr Why does music bashing threads come up ever so often? As someone previously said before me, music elitism is highly annoying. Everyone has their own tastes, so why can't everyone just leave it at that? And as for my own personal preference, I'm into some rock and light rock songs, but I'd rather listen to Miley Cyrus and/or Jonas Brothers who have at least a sense of melody and vocals as opposed to some "sub-genres" I've heard, which are mainly composed of a medley of illegible flailing drum noises, screeching guitars and pig squealing vocalists. I enjoy all genres, each has its pros and cons - which is why I listen to everything! Someone gave them [cabbage] that the guys from Blink promoted irresponsible behaviour or something, so they ended up having to say they only enjoyed the music and didnt pay attention to what else they did. Hell the saddest thing is sooner or later the jonas brothers are gonna turn round and realise that their just hollow corporate shells, and just feel like massive [bleep]s. That is if they actually have a slight concept of self respect/conscience, or can you sell those to Disney too, nowadays? Anyway I guess it won't matter to them once their rolling round on a bed of money and developed a quickly escillating recreation drug habit once the whole music/soul selling gig is up. Wow, I cant believe I have such an opinion about them. Until now I thought it was just my usual unbiased digust of pop culture.
