Bullying and Your Views

What are your views on bullying? At one time it was deemed normal for teens to do this. But now teachers are getting pissed at kids who do. An they're all like " It's inmature." And i'm like WTF? They're practically contradicting themselves. I don't care about it. I can fight back. Which general ends in me calling then a douche and kicking them on the ground after giving them a charlie-horse. I hate the scholl adminastration, as then think it's some senerio (sp?) and are like " Tell a teacher". Another WTF moment. Hey! If your getting raped (really, being serious.) you aren't going to tell someone. NO! Your most likely to punch them to holy hell. Ending up with you kicking them and calling them a douche. YAY, NAY, MAYBE, YEBNO?

My view is if someone is acting like an [wagon], then they're going to deserve being called an [wagon]. But if people pick on you for no reason then that's just lame, get a life or find a hobby. I also believe in doing what you gotta do to protect yourself.

The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

It is stupid and immature, but since it's so immature, as reb said, it's not much to get worked up over. It's like getting pissed at a 5 year old for sticking his tounge out at you.

So basically your view that anyone who is being bullied can beat the crap out of the person who wants to beat them up? And anyone who is being bullied (or raped) is going to have the guts to stand up for themselves and attempt to fight back? Well that may be the case for you  but it's certainly not the case for everyone. Bullying IS immature and many teachers and administrators make a pretty good effort to try to prevent it from happening. Nobody WANTS to be bullied. And if you do, then my analysis is that you like being bullied so you can have an excuse to turn the tables and beat that person up and then use "self defense" as an excuse to justify your actions.

Thankfully, I have never been associated with bullying in my life. It can really mess up peoples lives though. There's always something coming up occasionally on the news of a kid commiting suicide because he was bullied by some [wagon] at school, or a victim of bullying going to extreme lengths to get back at the bully, & by extreme I mean things such as murder.

Maybe these are some of the reasons authority figures are so much against bullying.

Only fear God,

Know the weapons of the weak,

The weakness of the hard.

I was thinking Nancy Grace mixed with Oprah mixed with Laguna Beach.

Bullying is anything anyone finds offensive these days. I said "bigger" around a black dude who didn't like me. He took up some issues, and got socked in the mouth (not by me, he's 6"4. This was months afterwards  ). Just goes to show that I'm a witch.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

I think there a thread about this already

Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob.

People in OT eat glass when they are bored.

You don't mind bullying because you apparently have no problem defending yourself. That's pretty narrow minded, because most kids who are bullied can't defend themselves. But how old are you? In child psychology, it does take awhile until children are able to lose an egocentric point of view and become able to realize that others might see things from a different point of view. This happens at different ages for different children, so maybe give it some time, champ?

The schools have to say that. Can you imagine how many lawsuits there would be if the school condoned fighting bullies back?

Yeah! That's the only reason. And don't forget it.

I am sorry, but I've already grown from beating people up unless in the case of self-defence. When someone bullies me, I'd go to the principal and make one massive **** for them to move in. Can't wait to do it again, since abusing me growing up this way absolutely deserves this.

Are you guys familiar with a youtube video called Through My Eyes? It was made by a kid at my school who was bullied fiercely for about 2 years, and when the school did nothing about it they filed a lawsuit against them. It was on the news for a while until the parents finally one. The kid moved to North Carolina after that, but at the beginning of this year all of a sudden they're pretty strict on bullying. They say it's "because they want us to feel comfortable"

Here's the video if anyone's interested interested.

I'm a guy, and I have really long hair. This short black piece of [cabbage] teases me and calls me "Barbie" (seriously wtf?) as well as pretending that me and my best friend are gay together (we aren't) and spreading rumours about it.

Well one day during gym, I snap, grab his head, and knee him in the face four times, breaking his nose.

I have eight or nine people back me up in telling them that he has been teasing me and bullying me for a month. They are all creible and good students, while the black kid has nobody backing him up that I bullied him (which I didn't).

Guess what? I get a week OSS, he gets a day ISS. Why? He brought up the racist argument that I only hit him because he was black.

Educational Disciplinary System = FAIL.

You failed by overreacting. I've seen the most macho and physically strong, ego-conscious adults just shrug off people calling them names.

If your story is even true (sounds like a revenge fantasy), unless someone threatens to kill your family, your reaction, assaulting him, is totally wrong. You're lucky you didn't get time in a juvenile detention center. Words are almost never a proper justification for physical attacking.

What I do agree with is that some punks wouldn't know respect if it slapped them in the face; In the worst cases, these unruly kids will go spread rumors about someone being 'gay' and howling insults at every chance in the halls, etc...

Respect can only be earned, but that kid didn't even have basic common courtesy. While assaulting him was one of the worst options, it will certainly keep him from doing it in the future.

If my own kid was acting that idiotic, I wouldn't be so mad if the victim finally snapped and punched him in the face. It's a lesson learned the hard way... Don't act like an idiot and start fights, making rude remarks about others physical appearances, clothes, etc., that's just asking for trouble.

Then again, if I have a kid he/she will never grow up to become a brat like that. I'd bet money that kid who kept making fun of you either lacks a father figure or his parents never restricted him in any matter.

How would you define bullying? Is joking around, calling your friends names bullying? Is friendly teasing bullying? Or are we talking about bullying, where a guy generally much bigger than you ridicules you every chance he gets, basically every day?

I take it you've never been bullied.

Most school administrations, in my opinion, actually need to boost their anti-bullying systems. It's rather pathetic how many teachers/principals simply tell the bully to just stop. Like that's totally going to work.
