February 18, 200917 yr this is only a theory i was browsing the credits list on the runescape website out of boredom. i go down and see near the bottom- "Brazilian-Portugese Team" . is jagex going to make a portugese form of runescape? is it people who work in Brazil? why the hell portugese and not something like spanish? so whatever. then i look to see if this new mark guy or whatever the hell this guys name is at the "Lead Developer" status. what's this? andrew is still there. new guy isn't? how can this be? is andrew trying to make an alternative identity with this mark (whatever his name is) fellow so he can get on the side of the players? or is the new guy just lazy and not want to fix this? is he there and i'm just being stupid? here's the link to the people thing: http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... cle_id=746. i'm going to get in my asbestos suit so i will not get burned from the massive flaming the people will unleash upon me. Wow, watching this thread is better than pro wrestling! =D>This thread is probably better than pro wrestling because the fights here are real (And the boobs).
February 18, 200917 yr Yeah, it's for FunOrb. Remember now, Jagex is the same company that made FunOrb and RuneScape, and one team does not necessarily work on another project. I'd get out of that asbestos suit before serious issues arise. February 18, 200917 yr Might be just for FunOrb, might be for both, who knows for a sure? I'd seriously love JaGeX more if they got a Portuguese rs version (But I'm portuguese so that doesn't count :) : I guess we have to wait and see if anything happens ;) Thanks to Vey for the hawt siggie <3
February 18, 200917 yr The next language should be RUSSIAN. :) Never trust anyone. You are always alone, and betrayal is inevitable.Nothing is safe from the jaws of the decompiler.
February 18, 200917 yr The next language should be RUSSIAN. :)The next language should be wherever they have the most players from. February 18, 200917 yr The next language should be wherever they have the most players from. I don't agree. If they want to grow, they probably should do a country that has a big potential player base that is yet not playing. What I mean is that they could get a lot of more players if they did a language whose speakers did not play RuneScape before.

But honestly, I think the guy above me has a point. Due to my epic stats, I have now started WGS (but I still hate spoilers).
February 18, 200917 yr It has already been stated that over the coming months, JaGeX are releasing Runescape in various languages, no doubt these will include portuguese. ;)
February 18, 200917 yr If it was most players then they would have done Finland first not Germany. Next will be Spanish then probably Dutch, I doubt they'll ever do a Finnish version of RuneScape. [-- DYNAMIC SIGNATURES FOR RUNESCAPE 3 & OLDSCHOOL 2007 RUNESCAPE --]

CEO =/= Lead Developer.. Mark has very little to do with the actual development/content of the game. Hence why he's had Devs (or "Mods" as they're known in this game, for some unknown reason) answer the latest round of questions which deal with actual game content. I meant the "unknown" part is why they initially called themselves Mods instead of Devs. I'm aware that they've named themselves as Mods, thanks. Sig And Avatar by Tripsis - 99 Slayer Blog - My Pyramid Plunder GuideOwner of Fire Cape since 28-09-2005 - 426th to 99 Strength

Again, very aware of what Mod stands for. What I reffered to as unknown was why the developers of the game decided to call themselves moderators, instead of devlopers, understand now? Also, well done on focusing on the most insignificant part of my post. February 18, 200917 yr I believe JaGex has already stated somewhere that they were going to release a Portugese version of RuneScape. I remember this because I was thinking that it was unfair that we, the Dutch, haven't gotten a translated version of RuneScape yet. Because I do believe most non-native speakers of English in RuneScape are Dutch. AwF_Suir1 in-gameClick here to read about RuneScape Must-Haves!

He knows what moderator means but wants to know why they call themselves that instead of developers. I think I miss-read it, well not think, clearly did lol. I think they're forced to call themselves Mods rather than Devs, I'm guessing that anyway, probably to stop thousands of noobs asking the same question: "Whats a Dev and a Mod, why are they different?" Or I saw a "Mod Mark" and a "Dev Mark" are they the same person? I'm guessing it's something to do with that, sowwi for misreading post. February 18, 200917 yr A Norwegian version of Runescape should be made  hehe but i think Dutch is better  99 Woodcutting 09/12/08 - 99 Cooking 13/01/09 - 99 Fletching 20/04/09 - 2,713th to 99 Construction 14/09/09[hide=Quote]New summon monster. February 18, 200917 yr It seems a bit unlikely portugese would be their choice of a new language to release RS in, but anything is possible I guess. As for your conspiracy theory about Andrew Gower pretending to be Mod MMG, I doubt that is true. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
