October 19, 200916 yr Already pre-ordered from the cheapest retailer in the UK. Can't wait... Playing cod4 again so I'm ready for when the MW2 comes out.
October 19, 200916 yr I don't have a 360, and I've only played this game once at a friend's house. That being said, I've watched a few videos on YouTube and I really don't understand how you people can fire when you can't even see the target? I'm staring at the video screen and I'm thinking to myself, "How the hell did you know somebody was there?" And I think they were out of radar range too. Most of the videos you see are people who play a lot and know where people usually run past or camp, and they'll have taken a hell of a lot of shots which won't have hit anyone and put the one that does on their montage. 99% of the time you'll have seen the person you kill. Thanks to Quarra for the awesome sig!Xbox360 Gamertag = Tintin113

Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.-Random Youtuber
October 19, 200916 yr The game just got a 18 BBFC rating, don't know what that'll mean for Germany and Australia who are particularly strict with violent games.

October 20, 200916 yr Already pre-ordered from the cheapest retailer in the UK. Can't wait... Playing cod4 again so I'm ready for when the MW2 comes out. Wherewherewhere?http://www.coolshop.co.uk/catalog/product/58724-modern-warfare-2-%28call-of-duty%29--for-x360#STS=g0dvqhhl.102f They claim to have the cheapest UK price and they appear to be right, can't find anywhere else cheaper. They ship it so you have it for the day of release so it ticks all my boxes.
October 20, 200916 yr MW 24/7 (great site for MW2 news) made an article on the dedicated servers thing on the PC. Bowling (community manager), Zampella (IW CEO) and West (project leader) all explain why they made the switch from dedicated servers to matchmaking (IWNet). Tl;dr? Basically, it wasn't too piss off hardcore gamers, but to help the less hardcore ones, the casual gamers that were just looking to play a game without spending half an hour finding a good server first. It'll throw you into a game with players of the same skill (not necessarily rank) and allow IW to control the servers better (so there's less cheating.) They say people still have the possibility to make a private match, in which they can tweak game settings to their liking, so if you want to have clan training or whatever, you can still do so. Again and again during our conversation, West and Zampella hammer the point that hardcore PC players lose very little to this change relative to the returns that casual to moderate fans will see.
October 20, 200916 yr I think people were also pissed that they weren't going to release mod tools for the game. People may be overeacting, but any advantage the PC version might have had has been lost.
October 20, 200916 yr anybody who thinks this is anything other than a gigantic "[bleep] YOU" to the PC crowd is completly and utterly moronic. This is so they can charge for DLC plain and simple, and an idiotic attempt to stop piracy. This has absolutely nothing to do with a "better experience" or "making it easier for less hardcore players".Simply, if that was their aim, then they would be trying to cater to a demographic which simply doesnt exist, and I'm pretty sure, as dirty, underhanded and downright scum as activision are, they arent that stupid. I think they said some time ago that DLC would not be free for PC users. Whilst I think people have a legitimate right to be pissed off at this I think its wrong to direct rage at IW, when its Activision pulling the strings and who almost certainly came up with this idea.
October 24, 200916 yr No mod tools, no dedicated servers, and a $60 price tag? Guess the COD PC players can't be stuck up and elite anymore, because they have a console game now! XD
October 24, 200916 yr No mod tools, no dedicated servers, and a $60 price tag? Guess the COD PC players can't be stuck up and elite anymore, because they have a console game now! XD we can, its called not playing the game at all.We arent [bleep]ing magpies, ooh shiney shiney new game!! We arent going to buy a game if it isnt worth buying, and on a PC communities and large multiplayer bases tend to last longer than about 3 months after launch. We have many other BETTER games to continue to play.

October 25, 200916 yr I find it worth crying over. Competitive gamers were hit, and that's at least 600 or more teams from around the globe. Mod tools should be in the game for competitive-friendly play. We should be able to alter the game play so we can get a better experience from it.
October 25, 200916 yr It is worth complaining over. IW and Activision are really stupid if they don't think this is going to dramatically hurt PC sales of the game. PC players could just play borderlands and L4D2 instead of bothering. Or other older games that have mod tools.

October 25, 200916 yr I'm going to sell Halo Wars L.E and a couple of other games to pre-order it. Can't wait. Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. October 25, 200916 yr 1st: IW didn't do anything, this is undoubtedly Activision's doing. 2. So it's basically in the form of a console game now. Is that really such a terrible thing? I mean, it should definitely be cheaper if you buy it from Steam (since they're not actually spending anything on materials), but once the price goes down it should still be totally worth it for PC gamers. All it means is you get to poop on pubs instead. Get back here so I can rub your butt.

It will never be worth it.
October 25, 200916 yr Way to go with the stereotype. Most people on Xbox live are decent to talk to, especially on CoD, and the ones that are [developmentally delayed]ed are just easier and more satisfying to blow away. Matchmaking is great, you almost always get a full game. And btw, its the system L4D used to use on PC, people told them to change it, and when they did they [bleep]ed anyway. Btw, Ive come across more idiots on Tf2 than on Halo 3. That doesn't mean Tf2 has a bad community, it just means it has its share of idiots, just like every community ever. Get back here so I can rub your butt.
