The Current Question (Poll 2)

There are 4 14 year olds throwing stones at a squirrel with a broken leg, unable to move or defend itself. What would you do?

A: Take no notice, kids will be kids.

B: Yell at the teenagers, tell them to leave it alone. If they refuse you wil just walk past doing nothing.

C: Same as B, but taking more action even if it had to involve force.

D: Call an animal rescue hotline.

E: Other (please specify in post)

D: Find the owners phone number. Call him and ask if he was missing his wallet.

If he says no keep it. If he says yes ask how he wants it back. Take like 20$ either way, he probably doesn't remember the exact amount he had.

D, would probably try and find out about how much the person is worth and if i find out they had quite a bit of £££ i would nick it. :ohnoes:

B: Send the wallet to the address on the paper

I would probably travel to that address myself and hand it over personally. I would expect the same if someone found my wallet on the street.

That is another good idea. I probably wouldnt take any if they were middle class or something, but if they were [bleep]ing rich, hell yes.

B. It's not mine and I wouldn't want someone else to steal my wallet should I lose it.

D: I'd leave it in their letterbox along with a little note and a drawing.

B: I'm sure they'd want their driver's license, credit cards, debit cards, social security card, military ID card, photos, money, or anything else you could find in a wallet back. Wouldn't you?

D - Bring it back in person, and take none for myself. You're more likely to get a reward that way, but if I didn't get rewarded I wouldn't pursue it and just give him the cash.

D. I don't have a dream item. I would probably call the guy and see if he is friendly or not. If he wasn't then I would give half to my parents and keep the other half.

D. steal the money, and leave the wallet.

Last time something like this happened (found a $20 in a book), I did C (leave it), but that's only because I figured it would be nearly impossible to figure out who it belonged to, and it would feel wrong to flat out take it.

But if I had an easy way to figure out who it belonged to, I would somehow get it back to the owner. So that would be B or D.

B. I've misplaced/lost items before, although never a wallet; but regardless, I'd return their property just as I would hope they would do for me.

B. send wallet to address

the fact there is an address requires you to actually return it; if it is just a wallet with money it would be a different situation.

Orthodoxy is unconciousness

the only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed.

I'll be boring and say B.

D. Take a bit of the cash as a "return fee" and return it to the owner.

I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal.

D. Take the money and mail him his wallet back empty.

D: I'd take some money and send it to him, if he asks why some money i gone, I can say somebody else probaly took it.

B: Send the wallet to the address on the paper

If there wasn't an address that'd be a different story. But I'd send it back considering how terrible it might be if the person was like my family - quite poor - and that money was their month's wage or something. Someone might need that money to eat that week.
