Personally, I prefer them to have some level of intellegence, understand that I can't devote all my time to them and able to hold a decent conversation. I'd add in "able to get me to open up" but lately I've been able to talk to people easier. When it comes to physical characteristics, I prefer her to be shorter than me most of all, and well, I must find her physically attractive. Sorry, but I don't care what type of person you are, if you don't take care of your body I won't be interested. Well, might aswell add this, generally, I am more attracted to those of Asian descent, however, that isn't majorly important.
