I enjoyed Brando as usual although his acting didn't quite reach the par he set in Streetcar later on in his career. Lee MArvin was quite funny and Mary Murphy had a well rounded performance. Entertaining and quite fun. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

September 8, 200718 yr "South Park" - Been watching random episodes in season 10 and 11 plus a few random ones from before. Just something short to watch while I am eating dinner or something. Oh, they are amazing and genius at times. "Heroes" season 1 - Also checked out the unaired pilot episode. I watched the regular pilot right afterwards, and much of it was the same. A lot of minor differences though, and one or two big differences. Some of the minor differences would be the way the main characters act, very subtle things that decrease your like of them. Probably wouldn't even notice unless you watch one right after the other like I did. Big differences are obvious once you watch it, won't say anything here because of spoilers. Anyways, the entire season on the whole was great the second time through also. The great ending of episode 17 was lessened a little bit, as well as a lot of the revelations later in the series. The final episode was also not as disappointing, since I knew what to expect going into it. Both normal things that happen the second time you view something.
September 8, 200718 yr Last movie I saw was... "Hoot" lol --- Dont worry we are watching it in grade 10 science for some reason. Although, I havent really been watching it, more sleeping and talking ;) But best movie I have ever seen is Superbad. 10/10. Great script and portrays the life of some teens very well. September 10, 200718 yr 1408 on Friday night there.... thought it was pretty cool. Not really that scary, but pretty original and some nice scenes. 7/10 Babylon 5 - The Lost Tales. - This was a DVD with two episodes. The first was absolutely awful. Can't believe we Bab5 fans waited so long for such rubbish. The second episode (with the suposed invasion of Earth by the Centauri), was somewhat better, but still short of the mark really. The only good thing was the improvement in CGI, but even that was considerably short of the norm now. 4/10
September 10, 200718 yr Run Fat Boy Run Was in London at the weekend and because the DLR was closed it was difficult to get to Greenwich Observatory on sunday so went to the CineWorld in Canary Wharf. When I heard it was directed by David Scwimmer I wasn't expecting a masterpiece, I also hadn't read any reviews and there was nothing on rotten Tomatoes but I like Simon Pegg so I was willing to give it a punt. It wasn't the best film Ive seen all year and there were a lot of jokes that were a bit simple and obvious. I got the impression that it was a British film but for an American audience, also what annoyed me was the over the top Nike product placements but I understand that it was a budget film and probably quite necessary. September 10, 200718 yr The Seven Year Itch - Yet another great Wilder film. It contains the famous scene with Monroe's dress blowing up on the metro grating. The Rachmaninov - Chopsticks scene is just classic... intricate fantasy gets thoroughly beaten by the simple real life. Blake's 7 - season 2 - Okay, it's a series, not a film, but I just love love love love this show, so I'm adding it nonetheless. It's a very low budget sf series, with outrageous costumes and outdated special effects (even by the standards back then). If you can look beyond this and accept it as a charming part of the series, you'll be thrown by the wonderful dialogue and powerful characterisation. The story? A band of nit-wits, thieves and criminals escape enprisonment and fight against the evil federation. They fight as much amongst themselves though, not all are too keen on risking their hides. Main characters can and do die, it's wry, but also funny and brilliant.

September 10, 200718 yr I've seen a few over the last few days, so... Mr. Bean's Holiday- Your average Bean movie, making it just that good. Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties- The movie, I liked, however some of the casting could have been done better... The Marine- Unrealistic, but still enjoyable. Stranger Than Fiction- The best of the movies I have listed in this post, it is most definitely worth the watch. Snakes on a Plane- Another good movie, no matter how realistic. As you can see, I like a lot of movies...

September 13, 200718 yr Okay, it's a series, not a film, but I just love love love love this show, so I'm adding it nonetheless. If you look at my posts you'll notice I do a lot of TV shows, they are just fine for this topic :D . Blades of Glory - It was OK. I don't like sports movies as I have mentioned before. Comedy sports movies are included in that. This one I think what saved it were the actors/actresses. Not the main two, Will Ferrell or Jon Heder. They are OK I guess but not my favourites. Will Arnett, Jenna Fischer, and Nick Swardson I all really like. Jenna especially so because she is very hot. Seeing Luciana Carro was also pretty cool. She played Kat on Battlestar Galactica. She was only in there for a scene. First thing I thought was "that girl is hot" then 2 seconds later I thought I recognized her, then I checked IMDb and the scene was pretty much over by the time I realized who it was. Yeah, she is pretty hot. Spider-Man 3 - It gets a lot of [cabbage] from people. I didn't think it was bad, I actually kind of enjoyed it. It could have been better of course.

September 14, 200718 yr I went and saw the remake of Halloween a week or 2 ago. It was pretty good. Not good if you don't like senseless murders, tortured animals, and plenty of sex scenes. But I enjoyed it and I'd gladly see it again :) Internet Marketing For Newbies

September 15, 200718 yr Gangs of New York. Fantastic movie... I love the sets and the story line. It seems so genuine. 9/10 Might see Distrubia tonight, or maybe Shoot 'Em Up
