What movie(s) did you last see?

I know I'm really late, but I just watched "Saw", and dam, what an impact!

That was simply the best thriller I've seen, even better than one of my all time fave "Scream". I mean how people can go crazy... this is really scary, and the ending was so shocking. If you haven't seen this movie, and you're over 13+, I recomment you this superb movie. I mean hell...

LOL, I'm not a kind of guy who waits to watch stuff, I watched American Pie at the age of 11(which I'm sure this isn't even bragging because it's not..). I'm 15 at the moment, and I live in Illinois.

Haha, I saw American Pie in cinema when I was 12, together with my parents. Haha, I remember having a little stiffy all the time, and I was sweating because I didn't want my parents to notice. :D

Scarface the orignal version from the thirties. Which is obviously better than that rancid product from Brian dePalma.

Brick-It was really good. I really didn't have any idea about the film going into it, and it was great. The camera work and the angles could have been better a couple times, but overall they definately did an awesome job.

Lady in the Water - A film by M. Night Shyamalan, a little different than his others. Not quite as good, I guess it is an OK film. A little odd.

Mystery Men - This movie will be very hit and miss, for most people miss. I liked it however.

Punch-Drunk Love - As great the second time around as it was the first.

King Kong - The 1933 version, which was epic. If you have seen the new version, you have to see this one. You should see it no matter what actually.

The Mists of Avalon - On the IMDb page it says it is a made for TV movie, which you can definitely tell. I actually haven't even finished it yet, it's three hours long and I have about 10 minutes left but I don't even feel like wasting that last amount of time on it.

Watched Number 23 yesterday since we got rejected by 300. F U SPARTA. Haha, kidding. Anyway, Number 23 wasn't that bad I guess. The plot was a bit ridiculous, but Jim Carey was good.

Trainspotting - A pretty good movie, some parts were rather odd. The worst toilet in the world.

Winter Passing - I love Zooey Deschanel!

Thank You for Smoking - I kind of knew what to expect, but it did end up turning out a lot better than I expected at the beginning. A good amount of comedy of the satirical style. It ended pretty well also, nothing stupid or corny.

Night at the Museum - Generic Hollywood comedy. A few funny parts but nothing special.

SLC Punk! - Anyone claiming to be a punk should watch this and then decide whether or not they are. But of course if you do that because I told you to, you would be a phony.

Slither - A horror movie that doesn't take itself seriously, has some comedic value. Actually this was much, much better than I thought it would be. Which means it was pretty good. I think that the main character is Nathan Fillion helps out a lot.

"The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" season 1 - Lol. I guess it is mostly an average comedy, but I like it. I almost got the opening rap memorized, after hearing it 25 times. I still got 5 seasons to learn it :D . It does get too serious sometimes, too often, and too soon in the shows lifetime.

Fanny och Alexander - A 5 hour movie, but manages to keep you interested the entire time. Like every new Ingmar Bergman film I watch, it has now become my favourite Bergman film. One of the things I was thinking about most after this movie ended was the use of colour throughout the film. This is the first Bergman film I have seen that was in colour, and he used it wonderfully. All of his other films always look very nice in black and white, but I thought he did exceptionally well with this one. There was a decent amount of fantasy throughout the film also, and it downright freaked me out a time or two. Especially near the beginning when I didn't know what was going on. The film just keeps on getting better as it goes on. I did have trouble through a lot of the first half of the movie keeping track of everyone, after that I pretty much could place everyone. I could have used like a family tree guide or something there for a while :D . Overall it was a great movie, the acting was good as usual in his films. This was the first film of his that hasn't had at least three or four actors/actresses from his other films (or they were just older and I didn't notice). There are two things I am wondering about the movie. First I am kind of curious as to what would be cut out in the theatrical version, they have to cut two hours from the movie. Secondly is the title of the movie, Fanny and Alexander. While a lot of the movie is about them, most of the second half, it seems like "The Ekdahl family" would be a better title. In the first act I was wondering if I would ever see them much at all, they didn't have all that much screen time. Also it seems like maybe it should just be called Alexander, because he had a lot more screen time than Fanny. Oh well, that's not an important thing to worry about, and maybe they explain each other, it is called Franny and Alexander because in the theatrical version they cut most of the stuff that didn't have them as the main characters. Anyways, definitely a great movie.

^^One of my Favorite movies but:

Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle: I found it pretty funny if you dont take it to seriously. A decent film

2001 Maniacs: One of the strangest horror movies Ive seen in a long time. But i enjoyed it and i think it was actually kinda creepy at some points. I recoomend, long as low-budget doesnt bother you.

Wilderness: When i started this movie it looked like it was gonna be crap. But by the time it was over i realized it was actually a very good horrorfilm. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Casino Royal: Pretty good Bond flick. Just not one of my favorites.

I haven't seen that much lately.

Last saturday I saw:

Werckmeister Harmoniak again, which has got to have the greatest opening scene ever. Great, as usual.

And after that I saw 300 on thuesday ( I don't know if I alrady posted that here) which was a pretty entertaining and visual stunt, but hadn't much to offer besides that. Then I didn't watch any movies (I think) till yesterday when I saw:

Harvey very good

The Great Race very funny! Pie fight! MAAAAAAAAAXXXXXXXXXXXXX!!!!! Jack Lemon! <3

His Girl Friday Brilliant. Rosalind! <3 Cary! <3

An Inconvenient Truth Pretty interesting documentary on a subject that I didn't know too much about. Worth your time!

I saw 300 last night.... awesome!!!

I was almost put off by a review in a local newspaper called Metro where it was scored 1/5. Then I spotted the female reviewer's name at the bottom of the article.... a woman giving a war movie one star???..... it must be absolutely awesome!... and it was lol.

"The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" seasons 2, 3 - Starting to get a little repetitive. Worries me that I am only halfway through. I have the theme song down pretty good now, not perfect though. Rapping is harder than I thought :P .

The Day the Earth Stood Still - Classic SciFi, but a little too preachy. Every two minutes it's "we can't let humans live if they don't start being kinder to each other".

The Wild Bunch - Westerns aren't really my bag. I always say that, but there are a good amount of westerns on the Top 250 and I have enjoyed most of them. Still isn't my genre of choice, but this one was good enough.

Lucky Number Slevin - Watched it for the guess the movie topic, although I really just needed to watch the intro to see if I was right or not. I guessed before I even watched it anyways, so the whole reason was kind of shot. Still, I was glad I watched it again. Still pretty good, but it was better the first time through.

Escape from L.A. - After seeing Matt's comment about Snake Plissken shutting down the internet I got curious, because I had only seen Escape from New York and didn't know there was another one. Once I found out there was, I had to see it. Much like the first one it is a pretty crappy movie, and therefore completely awesome. Kept the style of EfNY and turned out great.

Lord of War- decent, didn't get to see the ending though, hopefully get if off of my friend so I can watch it later

B@stards of the Party- This is a documentary on how and why gangs arose in LA. Thought it was put together good and really was interesting. 9/10

Bad day at Black Rock (1955) - brrr, grabs you by the throat when Macreedy arrives in the small town, and then slowly keeps pressing till you nearly suffocate. Recommended, especially to those who enjoyed Cronenberg's A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE.

"The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" seasons 4, 5, and 6 - The last half of the series. Starts off with a different actress playing the mother. They even make a joke about it, with Will breaking the fourth wall. That was one of the main things I noticed about this, the second half of the series. They broke the fourth wall many times. Overall there were some good parts in this half, some serious parts that were done pretty well. They had serious parts in the first half but they never seemed to work very well. One last thing to mention that is the recap episodes. They had one every season for some reason, and the flashbacks were over the whole series for some reason. Seemed like a wasted episode every time they came up. Overall I think it was a pretty good show :P .

indy500fanan9.jpg

Casino Royale: Actually saw this on Saturday, forgot to post.

In essence it was a decent action movie, but could hardly even be classified as bond. Besides the name of the main character, and the down-the-barrel shooting at the start, there's almost nothing to distinguish this movie from one that wasn't bond. The Austin Martin could easily be a reference to bond, and the gadgets (while almost entirely non-existant in this movie), would easily fit into another secret agent movie. Overall, it was decent, but nothing too spectacular.

TMNT-Can't believe I got roped into this one, but guess what: I actually enjoyed it :). All the people I went with were so excited, and they got disappointed. I had super-low expectations, and ended up being pleasantly surprised. For a PG-rated cartoon movie, it holds a surprising amount of appeal to adults, what with the darker atmosphere and constant ninja battles. 8-) . Plot is ridiculous--->who cares. And there were a fair amount of genuinely funny moments, I was impressed. Well done animation...And did I mention constant ninja battles? So again, it was pleasantly surprising, and if you're in the right mindset it can be fun popcorn movie :).
