stonewall337
Taken.Amazing movie. Although, after the first time, you begin to think of Ian as a Jedi... Saw Zombieland. Didn't care too much for the first half, too much blood (Not that I hate it, just don't care too much for it.) But liked the 2nd half a lot more. Sherlock Holmes. EXACTLY like I portrayed holmes in my mind, from reading the books. Amazing. Underworld. Decent. [hide=Drops]Araxxor Eye x1 Leg pieces x2GWD: 5000 Addy bar Steam B Staff x3 Z Spear x6 Sara. ____
Started watching the James Bond movies the other day. Might just do 1 per day, or one every second day till I finish it up. Dr NoFrom Russia with LoveGoldfinger Fairly standard really... Sister Nicci
Taken.Amazing movie. Although, after the first time, you begin to think of Ian as a Jedi... One of Liam Neeson's best roles, I think. And, it's no small wonder about the whole Jedi bit, considering the fact that he played Qui-Gon Jin ^.^ And, just watched Troy. fuer grissa ost drauka "Once committed to fight, cut. Dax
Last movie I watched must have been The Darjeeling Limited. We watched it in class and had the option to write a part of an essay on it. That or some story. I watched it a second time so I knew what I could say. Really good movie, in my opinion. #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod
i_love_burritos
I watched Alice In Wonderland. Meh...6/10. It was okay. [bleep]ing Depp's dancing just killed the whole mood, would have been a better movie without that. In retrospect, that $16 could have been spent on The Hurt Locker, I'll watch that sometime... Second one I watched was Shutter Island, one big mind[bleep]... though I didn't fully understand or like the ending. Was he really a US ranger or a patient at the institution. At any rate, still a good movie. 9/

I would have liked one or the other, the ending was ambiguous, so I was led to believe it was one of the two, definitely not both. Is this your own interpretation ? Or is it "actually" so ? Last movie I watched, 40 Year Old Virgin. Great movie, Steve Carell is a funny guy. I like Seth Rogen aswell.

Last movie I watched, 40 Year Old Virgin. Great movie, Steve Carell is a funny guy. I like Seth Rogen aswell.[hide=Shutter Island Spoilers]Yeah I'm pretty sure he was both. It's been a while since I've seen the movie, but if I remember correctly, in the scene where they show his dead children, he comes home and has the Marshall badge and everything. The whole point is that before the movie takes place, he was a US Marshall (again, pretty sure.. iirc) and came home to find that his wife had killed his children so he killed her. This caused him to go insane. He created a fantasy world where he continued living his SAME LIFE (so in his fantasy world he was still a US Marshall) but he created a new reason for his wife's death to hide from his own guilt. So rather than having him kill her in his fantasy world, she died in a fire instead. So when he went insane, he had to stop being a US Marshall to be admitted to the mental hospital. It makes sense that he's both if you think about it. Because in order for him to believe his own fantasy world, it would have to be based on facts, so certain things would have to remain the same: the fact that he has a wife and that she died, his profession, etc. Basically you know the scene in the lighthouse where the doctor guy tells him he's insane? Everything the doctor said was true. I'm pretty sure the doctor even say something like "No, you used to be a US Marshall," but again, it's been a while since I've seen it XD The big picture of the ending was very clear cut. He was in fact insane and a patient at the hospital. Before he went insane he was a US Marshall, which explains why he was a US Marshall in his alternate reality. The only somewhat ambiguous part (though it's pretty clear in my mind and most people seem to agree on this point) is what happened after he was brought back to sanity. He was DEFINITELY brought back to sanity (accepted that he was in fact insane and a patient in a mental institution) for at least a little while. What's somewhat debatable is whether or not he lapsed back into insanity at the very VERY end (when he's sitting on the porch or w/e with his "partner" [partner in his fantasy, doctor in real life]). What we see in the film is him reverting back to his fantasy, as made evident when he calls the doctor "Chuck" on the porch. My interpretation, and the one that most people agree on, is that he's only PRETENDING to have reverted back to his fantasy world to get the surgery.. because the deal was that if the role play didn't work, they would be forced to give him surgery.[/hide] I watched Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life tonight  Always a fun movie.. I even think I might enjoy it more than the first one. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

indy500fan
Yeah all of Wes Anderson's movies are great. I would try and watch them in chronological order, if you are looking for a particular order to watch them. The first three (counting Bottle Rocket once) I loved the first time I watched them, and after a few more they are still great. The Life Aquatic though I didn't care for much the first time, but the second time around I liked it as much as the others. The Darjeeling Limited I watched in theaters (I think), and thought it was OK, bought it around a year later meaning to give it a second watch and now, 2 years later still haven't watched it a second time. So I need to do that to decide how good it is. The Fantastic Mr. Fox I loved the first and only time so far that I've watched it.
Mirror
Ok, I admit it, went on a watching spree of movies I haven't seen. Laugh if you must but it is true. :P Alice in Wonderland (Cartoon version...)Reign of Fire (Christian Bale and Dragons, can't get much better than that except Matthew Mcwhatshisname as a buff american soldier. LOVED his character and actor match up.)Spaceballs (Ok, I've seen it, but not recently. Ludicrous speed!)and Sleeping Beauty. (I feel bad for all the little girls who thought all the guys they would meet would be like Prince Phillip. Well I'm sorry, we aren't perfect at everything and we can't slay dragons with a sword powered by fairies....) Yep, that was my weekend, besides trying to write a paper, but that has nothing to do with what movies I've recently seen. I really want to go watch the new Dragon Training movie. I got a date and everything, just no free time this week. *sigh* A reflection is just a distorted reality held by glass and your mind.

Lateralus
Been on another black and white kick lately. Watched The Sun Also Rises yesterday, which turned out to be a real disappointment. It's possibly my favourite novel of all time, and I just felt like the movie was so wide of the mark, not to mention the fact that the cast was a little on the elderly side. Got through From Here To Eternity a few hours ago and was absolutely blown away. If I were a woman I think I'd melt every time Montgomery Clift was on the screen. La lune ne garde aucune rancune.
