My friend made a very good observation, the main female looks like a mix between Lucy Liu and the devil.

Just got done watching Battle: Los Angeles

 

Great movie, screw the critics. Better than the new Tranformers imo, since this one didn't spend the first half boring me to sleep.

It was pretty dark, but I definitely loved the comedy thrown into it (i.e. Brendan Gleeson going to the park to kill Colin Farrell, who is going to commit suicide).

Well, it is a black comedy.

Hmm...Harry Potter, the new one, was the latest cinema release...Last night I watched The Lovely Bones?? Strange! Transformers...'Twas okay.

 

In Bruge is a great film, two great Irish actors. Brendan Gleeson in "The Guard", which most of you won't get unless you are living in Ireland with Don Cheadle was just unreal...But as said, unless you are from here most of the jokes will go over your head, but by far the funniest film I've seen in many, many years...If not the funniest.

Last movie I saw as Limitless on the place back home. I was quite keen on seeing it as I had heard good things about it. It's definitely a pretty cool concept to make a movie on, but after about half way, it died. I thought it was like the story was told from day to day, and then I find that it jumps huge sections unexplained. The ending was too sudden as well, and it was a poor finish to the film.

I recently watched Limitless too :P I think I would have enjoyed it more if the primary focus was on what you could do with the drug, rather than the negative side effects of coming off it.

A History of Violence.

 

There were some pretty badass scenes. I overall liked the movie.

I would probably give it 4/5. So funny how the son gets out of fights.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt 2: Personally I don't think it was the best HP film, it was quite cheesy in places and the fight scenes were very short and poorly done. The final battle with Voldemort had about 45 seconds of screen time. There were some pretty good bits though and some good lines from Maggie Smith. 6.5/10

 

The Mechanic: An ok film but when the film finished I realised that not a lot had actually happened in the film and pretty much everything was crammed into the last 30 minutes. 6/10

 

Falling Down: Good film about a man who notices flaws in today's society so decides to do something about it, violently, all while he's trying to get to his ex-wife's house to see his daughter on her birthday. Plot was a bit unbelievable but it was enjoyable! 7/10

I pretty much agree with that too, an awesome movie that I would recommend anyone to see, but not a movie that I plan on watching a second time anytime soon.

Eastern Promises - Pretty cool movie. Nothing amazing though.

I enjoyed it for what it was. I swear I had seen some of those scenes before though.

Maybe in a youtube montage or something.

I enjoyed A History of Violence more. Cronenberg must really like Viggo Mortensen though.

I'd say it was okay. I kinda thought it was just trying to copy that whole 'crazy mess with your brain' type style that Inception had. Inception, I think, did a better job of it.

 

So, 3/5.

 

Wasn't a waste of my time, though. Was mildly enjoyable. I didn't have anything else to do tonight.

Burn After Reading.

I really liked it. Pretty awesome black comedy.

It really surprised me at some points.

But that's only because when I first started watching it I didn't know it was a black comedy.

Midnight showing of Cowboys and Aliens.

 

I saw the trailer months ago and though "what the [bleep]"

 

for 2 and a half hours tonight....those words repeated themselves in my head. over and over.

 

[bleep]ing fun though.

It was what I thought it would be, not a great movie but enjoyable.

The audience was [bleep]ing [developmentally delayed]ed though. Holy [cabbage].

People kept making stupid comments that weren't even funny at all.
