Anyway, I saw the "Borat" movie last night. It was offensive, shocking, and it had me rolling on the floor laughing.

I just got back from watching Hitman tonight. It wasn't up to much, it had a poor plot that was full of holes.

 

 

 

Can anyone say; bad acting? loose ends?

Hitman was bad. But it is not the worst movie of 2007 (that is reserved for Epic Movie)

Yeah I wasn't expecting too much to be fair but I got roped into watching it with some mates.

The Golden Compass - It was completely awesome. Normally I am annoyed by child actors, I just don't like them. However I wasn't annoyed this time. The majority of the movie follows the book pretty well, obviously cutting out a lot because of time requirements. They really started taking liberties with the last fourth of the movie. Things were out of order, but it really worked out well. But then it just kind of ended. It's like they forgot the last 20 pages of the book. I guess that could be the first part of the next movie. It's an hour later though and I am still confused by it. That's the only complaint I had with it, and as long as we get a second movie that will be a moot point.

Just back from seeing this. Thought it was ok, but was a little disappointed to be honest. I thought it was just a bit too childish, kinda like Narnia turned out to be.

 

 

 

I love the concepts, the technology that had evolved along a different tech base than our own. That was very well executed. I also enjoyed the idea of the soul living in a companion creature.

 

 

 

Having not read the books, I enjoyed the ideas, but thought the movie lacked in execution.

Yep it was more childish than the books, but I went into the movie expecting that so it didn't make as much of a difference.

Ironically, the catholics bishops that threatened to boycott Golden Compass liked it. :? I didn't see The Golden Compass yet.

 

 

 

Last night, I watched Terminator 2. Great sci-fi movie.

An adult book... a children's film. Shame

Hitman - yuck.

Casino Royale - Felt like seeing some more Eva Green (who is extremely hot) and this is what I had available. A great movie, one of my favourite Bond movies. I really haven't seen too many of the Bond movies too recently so I won't say absolutely that it's my favourite.

American Gangster - Very good movie, kept you wondering what would happen next.

Hitman - If you ignore it complete lack of a plot and an absence of any violence or decent action that is usually always present in the Hitman games, you almost have a barely watchable movie.:roll: It sucked.

The Dreamers - Definitely a good suggestion Daan :D . It was great. At first I thought it was mostly just going to be about the three main characters being film buffs and generally just BS'ing about films the entire movie. I was enjoying it of course, the part where Eva Green does the scene from Breathless was great, I don't know why that was so awesome to me. The movie went from being good to being great when the main story started. At first it was just "French people do some stuff differently" then it was "these people are different even to French people". You get drawn into their characters. Also, you get to see all of Eva Green. Don't want to put spoilers so I won't say much more, I just think if you are a person who likes films you should put this on your "too watch" list.

Face it, my mama always said this movie was like a box of chocolate. Anyway, this movie was a very touching movie about a guy who was a Football star, war hero from Vietnam, ping-pong champion. All this from a guy with an I.Q at 75.

Ratatouille, second time. Nothing short of one of my favorite movies of all time...Probably top five. :)

On friday I went an saw The Mist. It was a pretty decent movie and the ending made it hilarious and unforgetable. I'm glad I saw this over Hitman, Beowulf, or Awake.
