Merchants are actually smart and make their money more methodically and never really lose any money they make

Stakers can stake smart. Simply do like what people do in casinos and if you lose double your stake the next time until you do win and you win your original stake, you could even tripple up if you want a bit more risk.

theres nothing smart, thats not a trick or anything

odds are odds, every stake you enter has 50% chance, so theres not a single "staking strategy" to make it so you will make money

lets put it this way, if 100 people entered a world and all started staking, and every one of them did this, theyd all make money right? wrong just as much is lost as is gained, theres no trick to a 50 50 chance

How is that not a trick or anything? its is a very well known trick

Your comparison to 100 people does not work because if everyone starts at 1mil and doubles up and 1 person doubles up 5 times so that they are staking 32mil then they need to find someone to stake against, but everyone has won earlier and is not staking 32m so the problem is that they have no one to stake with not that the group overall doesn't make money. Making a "closed" situation where you limit the number of people doesn't work in reality as well as that not everybody bets systematically. Obviously if you close it to a certain number of people then there cannot be a net gain in their wealth it will just go from 1 to the other.

Although in an open system it seems to work better, you still have the same expected value in the long run.. it's just that eventually you will run out of resources (gp) to keep doubling, which with exponential growth happens much quicker than you'd imagine. This results in a series of short term small gains and eventually one huge loss

Also drumgun, I think the prices will eventually fall for frost bones.. resources gathered that make people quick money eventually go down. so don't give up on 200m prayer just yet!

maybe you could collect some frosts yourself and sell them for gp and wait till they go down in price and buy them back lol

rwt makes partyhats skyrocket too, 3/4 of the real stakers are rwters, gold selling also depletes certain non botted resources, such as bones

jagex is doing nothing about it, and i wouldnt be surprised if they would benefit from gold selling sites. either with copyrights or even with having their own site..

Thanks in advance.

I don't know why you guys are talking about the martingale system, staking was brought up asking if it was faster than merching for making cash for all 200ms.

With this system you need a lot of cash to start with so you can double up repeatedly and you win very small each time. You only bet big when you are down on cash. Which means even if you're totally succesful, you could win every single stake but it would still be much slower than merching bearing in mind the cash stack you would have to work with.

For staking to be faster cash than merching you wouldn't use that system you'd just have to bet big every time, with the 50/50 risk of losing. (and it is 50/50, assuming both are maxed, both using same weapon/boxing, both hit on first tick, and neither glitches/cheats. 'Skill' only comes in to play in stakers with unmaxed combat choosing who to stake). So no, staking is not more effective than merching, in fact it's not effective at all.

Does anyone know what the prayer xp/hr of cannoning baby blue drags with a bonecrusher is?

lolol

insignificant

It's great you know what you're talking about rustiod. Everything you've said is 100% accurate a true.

That being said...your a [bleep]ing [bleep] douchebag, and none of your advice will ever (or should ever) be taken seriously because of it.

disregard good advice because the giver is a douche

On the passive prayer XP gain subject.

Cannoning Black Dragons w/Bonecrusher would be.

13000 xp an hour + an effigy every ~90-100 minutes. Use effigy on prayer & that's 30000 xp an hour roughly.

So ~43000 xp an hour you also profit slightly, depending on black dragonhide price & cannonballs.

So in comparison to that, baby blues are redundant, unless there's a multi combat room rivalling cave crawlers.

Will have to wait and see what this Ash update brings, how much xp they give & whether they will be able to be buried/sacrificesdinterned via bonecrusher or a new dg item that does the same thing; also whether or not they are low xp and tradeable or high xp and untradeable.

Early update of the top 15 (won't be on this week-end)

1. Skiller (previously Aasiwat) : 2,53B xp (+7M). A somewhat slower week for our fellow tip.iter, Skiller has reverted to magic last week while still keeping up with farming runs. He still has a very comforting lead of over 140M xp and has rank 1 secured for the next months unless he quits. Coming milestones: 100M ranged, 100M attack and 100M summoning

2. Jdelacroix : 2,39Bxp (+10M). Not much new skillwise (dungeon, slayer, thieving and farming), but focusing on thieving and dungeoneering, Jdelacroix is keeping up ahead of Drumgun these days with a very slim lead. He's coming close to various milestones and has been very consistent since the end of last summer. Coming milestones : 100M xp ranged, 2,4B xp and 100M HP

3. Drumgun : 2,38B xp (+8M). The king of maxed skills is holding on to his crown and making sure he's not sharing or giving his title by training WC and fletch once again this week. He's about 3 months away from maxing out a 10th skill. Coming milestones : 2,4B xp

4. Zarfot 2,35B xp. Inactive.

5. telmomarques : 2,26B xp (+16M). Mostly a cut and paste from last week, telmo is still slaying hardcore along with farming and has not used any effigies this week too. It looks like he won't become the 2nd player to get 8 skills at 200M, but it will be a matter of days/week. Coming milestones : 100M HP , 200M str (8th) and 100M ranged

6. Elvis : 2,24B xp (+15M). Still training herblore and crafting, Elvis is once again keeping the pace with Telmo. He's second only to Zarfot for player with the most skills over 50M but he hasn't trained any skills under that mark last week. Coming milestones : 100M herblore and 200M crafting (6th)

7. Elias : 2,09B xp (+16M). Still mostly ignored on this thread (come on guys! let's move the spotlight away from Drumgun and Suomi for a sec!), Elias is once again one of the top gainers this week with slayer training. Like Elvis and Skiller he has multiple skills over 50M and is currently training ranging and slayer that he could add to his milestones. Coming milestones : 2,1B xp and 100M magic

8. Gertjaars : 2,02B xp. Inactive.

9. Paperbag : 1,99B xp (+15M). About to reach the mystical 2B mark, Paperbag is relentless in his ranged training (except for farming runs...). Even though there are very fast training players coming below him, he has a rank in the top 10 secured for a long time. Coming milestones : 2B xp

10. S U O M I : 1,98B xp (+20M). About to become the 2nd player in RS to get 8 skills to 200M with dungeoneering, Suomi is also gaining on Paperbag and will gain a rank pretty soon either from him or Gertjaars. He will also reach the 2B mark next week most likely. Coming milestones : 200M dungeon (8th skill) and 2Bxp

11. Tezz : 1,95B xp (+15M). The slaying king of the top 15, Tezz has not used any effigies this week and is about 3 weeks away from maxing slayer and str depending on how many effigies he gets. Coming milestones : 100M summon, 200M slayer (6th) , 200M str (7th), 100M magic and 100M ranged.

12. Kingduffy : 1,89B xp (+6M). Still the master of balance, Kingduffy has once again trained all skills last week. Definitely not a contender because of the speed he trains, he has nonetheless a very impressive skills breakdown and some spectacular ranks in all skills. Coming milestones : 100M WC and 1,9B xp

13. Lan : 1,87B xp. Inactive.

14. Erw J : 1,85 xp. Inactive.

15. Green098 : 1,79B xp (+13M). She's picked up the pace this week with some effigiy gains and she's still training ranged. that green girl is now 4-5 weeks away from passing Erw J and still has a very confortable lead over rank 16 (skiller 703). Coming milestones : 100M HP and 1,8B xp

I'll update the milestones chart sometimes next week.

Is there a multi room with pretty low leveled monsters?

Something like hill giants maybe? I get close to 7k an hour with a bone crusher - yeah, it's slow and pretty bad training but I figure the charm drop/prayer exp ratio to combat is second to none.

Charms from low level monsters aren't that good as they mostly drop gold/green charms. You're looking for crimsons as they give the best ratio of gp/xp.Wouldn't want to waste tens of milions on very expensive summoning xp.

HAve all these top 15s said theyre going for 200 in all skills?!

Thats absolute madness! kinda sad but fairplay, i never thought id see the day when people would max exp in more than 1 skill :o

Ive gotta say tho, if they are then it looks like SUOMI will be the winner, apart from RC hes got 3 of the hardewst unbuyables to 200m, thats madness! IF he has alot of money aswell and merchs, he could get cooking, fletching, con and crafting withing like 6months ! crazyy, he should level slayer next and max out combats to 200m, use the effigies for rc :ohnoes:

good luck to alll goiing for max total. it will be a seriously weird day when it happens.
