Master_Smither
So I log on to check the weather before school and see this. Very nice job Jagex on giving what the high leveled players have been asking forever: untradeable things to make at high levels. Even though I can't make the majority of these new potions I applaud Jagex on this update as it is what high levels truly want. xSxqPowerx
Best thing about it is that it's an update that will actually change my daily game play.
JoeDaStudd
I've been thinking more about this and my only criticism is the magic potion, theres really no middle ground now for mage. You either hit low or spend m's on training herblore and buying 10% items. There should be a in-between magic potion, something like magic essence extreme which gives half the extra damage %. Albel
This has to be a great update. Not only is the the potions high leveled, but also they are untradeable. This is exactly what some other skills need. Mabey smithing can get something like this down the road.Even though I cant make any of the potions, still a great update to a skill that needed one. Great job jagex  [hide=Quotes]Albel/JustinAlbel doesn't say anything anymore, just comes in, leaves an arrow and vanishes into the night :(Probablypractising some euphoniumYou nearly had me fooled, you fooler youEuphonium/10.9/10. Den
Before people start yelling "Magic is Overpowered", think about this. Magic is supposed to be good against melee and weak against range.Someone with Max Magic before vs someone with Armadyl Godsword and Bandos/Statius before, the fight could get quite even.By doing this, they made magic more effective against melee. ........::::: Rainy's YouTube Channel - Rainy's Twitter - Rainy's Facebook - Rainy's DeviantArt - Rainy's Tumblr - Rainy's Tip.It Profile :::::......... Wkw
Magic is NOT overpowered. It was highly underpowered before but it is not now.. think about this. Range and melee cost absolutely nothing to train. Buy a weapon, click. Buy a bow and arrows, click and pick up arrows. Magic costs the most of all skills. Want to bet that you won't be plucking off 50s on someone with a BSS in full karils with rune bow and dragonfire bolts? You won't. Want to bet you WILL be plucking off 50s on someone in full statius with DFS? You will magic > melee > range > magic Magic doesn't have to dominate every class, like melee has been, to be overpowered. Just melee. Its not OP Runescape player since 2005 Ego Sum Deus Quo Malum Caligo et Barathum

Fatteh
To people saying Magic is not overpowered go watch some hybrid pking videos out around MB/dragons/44 ports, mage was already quite powerful before this update, now it's going to be absurd. Krampell
This is perfect. Impressivly good potions that are untradable so you have to work for them and make them yourself instead of just buying them from the Grand Exchange. This is so win!Too bad i'm only 70 herblore :P
Sy_Accursed
They need to add untradable things at high end to all the skills. Eg some really good food that cant be traded etc Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
Koanga
Darkbow special attack now requires 65 energy up from 50. So now DBow is much less useful for people without the required herblore level? Great job Jagex <_< Barrows: Verac's flail, Karil's top, Karil's skirt, Guthan's skirt (x2), Dharok's plate, Torag's hammers.
Awkward Talking Fish
So.. now a level 60 with 99 mage and 91 herblore can hit 44's on people? :P

gspbeetle
Good luck to those looking to train herblore... One of the most expensive skills just became the most expensive haha Cost = product - materials... right?Alright theory crafting time: If you buy all the materials now, make them and sell the potions later... The potion might actually rise in price, because the cost of herbs and second ingredients are rising due to demand, it can lead to a cost pushed price increase. Maybe not as much as the rise of ingredients, buy hey you already have the materials brought right now! Also given that the end potions are used by the your fellow monster slayers and also is need for extreme potions... So you might have a chance of having a lower cost herb training if you ACT NOW! But I do hope the opposite happens like cooking, I just need cheaper potions :( Examine ChenGMT (level: 138)

The funny thing is I was thinking about getting 85 or 90 herblore a few days ago, and had already bought about 2k cadantines. Should have bought 20k goddamnit. Silver_Corner
Darkbow special attack now requires 65 energy up from 50. So now DBow is much less useful for people without the required herblore level? Great job Jagex <_< Perhaps, but the dark bow is also the only weapon that hits 100%. So I can see their reasoning for doing so. Let us hope this is a sign that Claws and AGS might also be changed to 55%+ in the near future. Which would be a VERY good thing in terms of further PvP balance. But this is an intresting update to say the least.

And herein lies the problem with any update that has anything at all to do with tradeable items. The merchants instantly buy everything out for days/weeks, and so it's impossible to take advantage of fully. My Goals and Achievements

ilovecuttingyews
I just got up and have to rush to class so I don't know if this haas been posted but the "overload" potion seems pretty sweet for PVP. Boosted stats for a full 5 mins before they instantly go back down. But it heals 50! upon lowering.
