Considering they didn't announce the update on the main page I would say it is just a chance for people to get last years emote, and the rest of us to hit 187 o.O

This would be the first major holiday event that has added nothing whatsoever to the game, I believe.Lillies in the spring?.... People are ranting too much about this. Its not posted on the front page so i see it as more of an acknowledgement of Thanksgiving rather than an actual holiday event. Because it was not announced on the front page and because they have promised something more ( a new quest soon I heard) I think it might be the next Grandmaster Quest. The first on was started at the Lumby Cook so this one might start at his brother, a new NPC. Thoughts?

That is a good theory, but Jagex said that the next Grandmaster quest would not be out for something like a year and a half. It's sailing.

The music was in the patch notes from an update a couple weeks back. And AFAIK the HAM base was updated with RuneTek 5 It was a good lol moment hitting repeated 180s+ on turkeys. November 24, 200916 yr Will you lose your items if you die?When you die, you are teleported to lumbridge and then have to run back up to where the turkeys are and fight them all over again (all of the turkeys you killed respawn). You will lose your items if you don't get to your grave in time.
