December 9, 200916 yr As someone who makes most of their money off merchanting, I take a great amount of interest in the economy. On the note of the economy, I really think Jagex needs to do something about the inflation; its unbelievable how much stuff has shot up. December 9, 200916 yr Honestly, don't really care. I have never been interested in merchanting in my entire career. As long as prices aren't extremely outrageous, I'm fine with it. "He could climb to it, if he climbed alone, and once there he could suck on the pap of life, gulp down the incomparable milk of wonder."
December 9, 200916 yr I couldn't care less about it. I do think Jagex should do something about the GE it's a total wreck. Anytime you have to use junk in order to purchase or obtain useful items the economy is in the crapper.
December 9, 200916 yr I don't care too much because I don't merchant for money or anything, but I do like to keep up with it so I can sell anything I have before it a huge crash. It's also nice to keep a watch out for price spikes to sell my raw materials then more extra money. Somewhat of an interest I guess. Pyramid Plunder Guide Tip.it Forum Rules Adventurer's LogThanks to Cowboy14 for the awesome sig!
December 9, 200916 yr I take a great interest in the economy, mainly because it's much quicker to make money by buying and selling than by using any skill, but also because I can increase my net worth by buying and selling the items I already own at the right times. I used to be the person who didn't care what his items were worth as long as he had them, but frankly the economy is so gigantic and open to manipulation that you should probably pay some attention to it. 2496 Completionist
December 9, 200916 yr I used to be obsessed with it checking the ge database every hour or so when i was on to see if i had got items, but recently i've found that i really have lost alot of interest in it. It's not what it used to be at all. Those with a little bit of knowledge are more dangerous than those with none.
December 9, 200916 yr It's certainly interesting. It's nice to take economical risks without an actual risk to your lifestyle in real life. IRC Nick: Hiroki | 99 Agility | Max Quest Points | 138 CombatBandos drops: 20 Hilt | 22 Chestplate | 21 Tassets | 14 Boots

December 9, 200916 yr A Small intrest We kinda get it drilled into our heads sometiems with the Tipit times so due to that i personally notice it more. December 9, 200916 yr I used to have an interest, back when it actually required some common sense and thinking. Now.. it's just a joke really. Perhaps I'll go back into it if something was to change, "fixing" the economy, but until then I'm not going near. RIP Michaelangelopolous
December 9, 200916 yr Personally I pay a lot of attention to the economy. If you buy and sell at the right times, you will end up with quite a bit of spare cash
December 9, 200916 yr Woo another one of my polls :P I don't really care about the economy tbh. The only thing I notice is 'Oh Dragon Bones are stupidly expensive, that's prayer training out for a while.' Other than that, I only care about the price of Nature/Cosmic/Law runes and Yew logs. *shrugs* I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. I rarely write in [My Blog]. I am an [Ex-Moderator].
December 9, 200916 yr I really don't care about the RS economy. The fact that people track the rise and fall of item prices... well, obsessively, makes me giggle and somewhat giddy... this poll doesnt show up for me it says you already voted on twitter. A quick force-refresh will fix this. :)
December 9, 200916 yr I care in the sense that I get pissed off when an item I want rises 2m a day with no hope of stopping. <_< Other than that, I don't pay attention to prices. I try to abstain from using the GE when possible. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

December 9, 200916 yr Considering my profits depend on which way the economy feels like swaying that particular day, then, yes, I take great interest in it.
December 9, 200916 yr Although it doesn't affect me much because I don't buy combat gear (the only thing I do is buy stuff I need to train skills) I take a great interest in it. I don't have an extensive knowledge of it, but I can understand why prices fluctuate, investing, etc.
December 9, 200916 yr I have a couple high end items, so I kinda pay attention to their values. I also keep my slayer drops/stuff I get from farming (herbs, papayas, coconuts) and sell them off when their prices are rising. Especially if a merchant clan is manipulating them I can get up to twice their normal value.
December 9, 200916 yr I don't play rs, but i kind of pay attention to the market in the P-hat/3A thread, so i'd say i have a little interest in it. Want to be my friend? Look under my name to the left<<< and click the 'Add as friend' button!Big thanks to Stevepole for the signature!^
December 9, 200916 yr Seems to me like anyone who ever wants to buy something in the game should care about the economy...for instance, would you rather buy your whip at 2m or 4m? How about that shiny DFS? Want to pay twice the price you could have gotten it for a few months ago? We all make an investment in the economy (not just merchanters) so we should all be at least somewhat concerned with what happens to it. That's my two cents at least :)
December 10, 200916 yr I got 1,5b in stuff that i'm not planning to sell :/ I'm watching prices of them but just for my own interest. I'm a bit annoyed high end stuff that I don't have keeps rising but I don't care about it because other high end stuff I own keeps rising too. And also my money making methods get better when they do so. I don't watch prices very closely to know all crashes and stabilizings etc.
