since the new tutorial has been added, the old school, good ol' tutorial island has been deserted and at present un-usable.

 

Has anyone got any good ideas or clue on what to do with it?

I still think the best idea was for it to be converted into a members tutorial island and maybe be done with some of the older skill starting quests.

It's sad to see that the island is now all alone...

 

Hope they don't remove it. They should add a tutorial to member's skills there

Make it like the old black hole. You can visit it and then return when you use an item, like the circus with tearing tickets. After a certain amount of time you would be taken back anyway. Give people the chance to see it :P

I was thinking about turning it into something similar to the bh crater, except for skills. It could have some deposits of mid-level ores, some willow trees, maybe a spot for tuna fishing, and a deposit box.

I'd love to see that turned into a skilling island, No monsters Just skills... A few yew trees, a few Shark Spots... maybe a nice bank?

And maybe a nice new quest for skillers to go along with it...

The intro quest is really not at all helpful, and the tutorial in the advisory system just doesn't really show you it thoroughly enough.

I like the black hole idea, Roddeck could sell a ticket to the island and you could go over there and when you were done you stepped through a portal on the island to get back.

It would be deserted after a week, there is nothing interesting to do there in it's current state :s

you can get like 100k bronze arrows there easily

make recently black marked accounts spend a week there with no way off the island :P

I would rather see the island turned into a instanced guild hall/island. Several other MMO's already have them.

 

You could join a clan chat and then travel to the hall of the CC your in. There would be a meeting area, and a place where you could show off Jagex trophies for your clans. If Jagex chooses to host clan competitions more frequently this would be an excellent opportunity for them to do so.

Making it the island where you start your memberskills...

 

I've always hated the ay you start Farming, Fletching, Hunter, Thieving and Agility foir example...

Just by "doing" it...

 

Make this island a place where you have the opportunity to start "some" of these skills with a nice introduction (not essential to ever doign the skill) and of course a nice little reward to add to those skills, and make it possible to revisit the resources there...

This. I'd love to convert it into a place for Clans to have a proper base of operations, but there should be the possibility of upgrading the halls with the construction skill. That would be amazing.

edit: in all seriousness, if jagex did do something with the island, it would have to be something epic.. let's be honest though, the only chance of the island coming back for ANY reason (in the next year) is if it'll be integrated with the new skill, which quite frankly wouldnt surprise me.
