PUBed a bit today with the clan Buddah Tribe. Was pretty fun, they've got some good members too. They want me and my roomate for 8v8 conquest although I think if we talk to them we might be able to get on the main 4v4 team as well.

Been enjoying the UMP45 a lot after the range normalizations they have done. It's a pretty damn powerful gun and might actually make me work with engineer a bit more in a squad rush environment. At the very least I'll use it if I ever do do 8v8 conquest.

1.M60. Very powerful and used in short bust can kill at long rang very easily.

2.M249. My favorite LMG. Granted not the best and long range but it packs a punch close range.

3. MG36. This gun might replace the M249. I always use a RDS on guns, so with the built in RDS I can replace that with a light weight pack or improved medic healing.

4. XM8 LMG. This gun is basicly tied with the MG36.

5 PKM. The PKM is actually really good. I have yet to used it a whole lot, but when I did use it was really easy to use.

I never really used the Type 88. so I cant rate it and I have not unlocked the MG3 yet. I really hope the MG3 is a good gun...or at least I can make it good.

Post-Patch I'll probably agree with you about this. I think I would place the MG36 ahead of the M249 from personal experience, simply due to it's nice red dot sight built in so you can go extra ammo or lightweight. XM8 LMG I haven't tried post patch but don't think it'll be that great now. PKM has always been fairly well rounded.

Type 88 I think will be worth looking at now, I don't mess with it too much though. Been sticking with MG36 post patch until I get some word about if the M60 will be banned or not in future comp. The MG3, like I said in an earlier post, is useful for real close quarters (camping near an objective or something) but I think it's just too much RoF to really be useful in a lot of situations.

Oh and it's kind of sad I have nothing else to unlock now except for levels, lol. All 4 classes and vehicle maxed out and I have all the non-specific class unlocks as well.

First off do we know when the patches are taking place? I know you play on the PC Nadril, but I would really like to know. Second off I might have to put the MG36 second now. After useing it more I REALLY like it more. And third Nadril, how good is BC2 on the PC. I was thinking about buying it today for private servers and to have just in case me 360 goes down again.

Thanks.

I'm getting this for 360 soon along with a friend and was wondering if anyone had tips on how to change my playing style from MW2 to this more easily. Obviously I realise the games about teamwork and not camping at the back with a sniper all the time, but on a smaller scale is there anything I need to be doing to help my team. I watched that short video a few pages back which was quite helpful.

One thing thats useful, which i kept doing without thinking when i went back to play a few games of MW2, is spotting the enemy before shooting them. All it takes is a split second to hit the back button before you fire. This puts a red icon above their head and lets your team know the location of that enemy for a few seconds. If you don't manage to kill them you'll still get a spot bonus when someone does.

Some of the game types are a lot slower paced than MW2. If you're a Medic or Assault class, leave medic packs/ammo boxes along main areas where your squad are. Keep everyone topped up on health/ammo. Another medic thing, if you see your squad mate get killed, kill the enemy that shot him before reviving him. Sounds like common sense, but theres sooo many folks that revive you without killing the threat first. Make sure theres no immediate threats as sometimes it's better to just respawn back at the base, avoids unnessecary deaths.

Also, use your squad mates as spawn points. Using a recon guy close to or behind the enemy base is a really good way of getting into the action quick.

Basicly what mcneilp said. Also, try to use the kits needed for a certin situation. IE, if you need to take out a tank...DO iT!!! Need to heal your squad members? DO IT!!

Also if you want, you can add me on the 360 and Ill help out as much as I can. Gamer Tag is 'Seaoh8492' Should get my 360 back within a few days.

I am rather annoyed at Squad Rush and how no one really knows the 'secret' or 'lesser known' routes around each of the maps. They just play the map where they see it when they spawn.

I guess I'm starting to get past the pubbing stage in BFBC2. Scrimming ftw.

So i've decided to move onto this game from modern warfare 2... i really can't stand call of duty anymore.

i like this game though

whenever i seem to play, i'm always on top. i'm not trying to brag, but it seems like it's always my friend and i doing all the work on my team while everybody else just does whatever. does this happen to everybody else too?

Welcome to the awesome side

I think what the problem is that people that are playing this game are used to MW2, where you can go solo and still be really good. They dont realize that team work helps out A LOT. Just my opinion.

I know a lot of random [wagon] spots in squad rush  . Oh and are you scrimming squad rush or 8v8 conquest? Could maybe get a scrim together against you with the current clan I've sort of been ringing for alongside of my roomate.

Also the more I use it the more I love it, the UMP45 is really awesome.

One thing I really hate is when people using the recon class hold the scope up to their eye for an inordinate amount of time. It's a great way to get yourself killed. Unless you're playing on a low resolution, it shouldn't be too difficult to pick up enemy movement, and then focus on that person, rather than aiming at one location *hoping* for an enemy to show up there.

That's how snipers work. Mainly, I prefer to work with one of my friends in teams and see who gets the better shot of our targets...Works so well and is so fun XD

I see a lot of snipers die from that practise. I pretty much keep off the scope unless there is a target spotted, or, If I can see a target (who hasn't yet been spotted). If the target goes out of sight (or behind an object that I can't shoot through), I pull away from the scope, to observe the surroundings for other targets, and if I see none, go back to the target if he is back in the open. It's effective. I usually end up with around 10+ kills to 1-2 deaths.

I also see a lot of snipers just wasting shots, like trying to shoot through rocks and always going for head (obviously the best thing to do, but it's a small target to hit and it can be quite hard on a bad connection), with magnum ammo you only need to hit from the chest up at medium range (doesn't get you a headshot bonus, but makes it more likely that you'll get a kill). I can't comment on the skill of those snipers, as I'm a pretty poor sniper, but with limited ammunition, and team mates who rarely give you ammunition (well, it's happened to me a lot, even when i ask for it), do you really want to waste valuable bullets?

I think skill level is determined by what rank kills you and what rank you kill. If you don't care about deaths and/or go for objectives, I'd imagine skill level wouldn't be very important.

And yea, penny, it is. I want to level up to 25 already and get the slender bar. The experience needed to level up is so much now; I wonder how it's like for higher levels.

C4 is so fun. On Atacama desert, I saw a tank approaching one of the flags. I put down some c4 and a motion sensor on the road leading into the village, and when I saw the tank was near my c4, BOOM! Bum-rushing toward or sneaking up behind a tank and placing c4 is fun too!

Skill level is determined by who you kill and who kills you, if you kill someone with a higher skill level than you, you get a small increase to your skill level, and vice versa.

Indeed. I just found this out from a friend. It's very similar to the rating system of Go. It's called the Elo rating system. Here is a link to it on wiki. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elo_rating_system

If you kill people who have a better rating then you, your rating will go up. But if you kill a lot of people who are noobs only your rating will go down.

Today I went to a friends house and unlocked the MG3. Got 6 kills with it. 2 double kills. So I find it very effective. Once I use it more I'll rate the top 5 LMG's

I guess that leaves assault for me to work on. Something I am going to try out is using a shot-gun with slugs. Found some awesome videos of people using it very well.

This is how war is supposed to be. No overpowered killstreaks, no sniper shotguns, realistic physics, and most importantly, TANKS AND CHOPPERS FOR EVERYONE!!!

Battlefield has done it again. What a great game.

By the way, who wants to buy my MW2 disk? because im sure as hell not playing that crap again! (lol jk my bro still wants it)
