June 13, 201115 yr When I'm taking a specific right turn on my bike by my house and a driver tries to speed up and pass me as they are turning. I've almost been clipped on that turn by idiot drivers six times in the past few months. I can make tight turns on my bike, but driving me into the curb on a turn and getting within inches of taking me out is just uncalled for. Is it so hard to wait a few seconds? Also, a new set of unnecessary stop signs has been added at a small intersection by my house. There is only one lane that slightly benefits from the signs. It wasn't a problem before. June 13, 201115 yr My mom buying hygiene stuff for me. Usually when she gets me bodywash, it's some feminine brand (which isn't so bad, if they're not too overbearing). This week, however, she got me a bodywash that sparkles red and silver.... sparkles + dark skin + sunlight = bad. I've just been scrubbing the sparkles off (which incidentally takes longer than my shower), but apparently I missed a patch on my neck because my neighbor noticed. She thought it was hilarious. I did not. And I've got three bottles of unused perfume she gave me. Science deals solely with the physical world, religion with the spiritual; to use the tired cliche, one cannot complare apples to oranges. So please stop trying to say God, Vishnu, and Thor didn't exist because of X/Y/Z, and that the big bang never happened or that the earth is only six thousand years old because of A/B/C because they are entirely different entities of thought. People who claim to have "proved" something (this goes with the above statement). Nothing may ever be conclusively proven to an absolute; alternate perceptions, explanations, interpratations, or unknown information can, at any time, suggest otherwise. One can never prove anything, merely show that, based on the current evidence, it is the best possible explanation. People who think that because science can't ever "prove" anything means you can't trust it. Sure, new data or trends may arise that suggest a different reality at some time in the future, but were it not for the acceptance of current (and past) explanations, nothing you have today would be possible. Sometimes the wrong awnser advances science more than the right awnser (relatively speaking, of course). People who have no real background in music judging any artist or genre; if you don't understand WHY you (don't) like them, please quit trying to discuss it with me, I'm tired of hearing "They just suck." No, they "suck" because the extent of their musical knowledge is a I-iv-IV-V in 4/4, and nothing else. Ever. Or, "It's just noise." No, its a highly complex, multi-metered peice with very dissonant progressions. Learn your (cabbage) before attempting to domineer my views on music. Anybody who disrespects anybody's sexual orientation (science has suggested its NOT a choice, but, of course, see above), sexual activities (be they solo, partnered, or with a plethora of partners), lack of sexual activities, or just anybody who has called somebody a "prude," a "(sexually active female)," a "player," etc. because of frustration, discomfort, or arrogance; so long as these actions (or lack thereof) have been a concious, well thought deciscion on the part of the individual(s) involved; excepting, of course, sexual orientation (as I said above). People who feel the need to enforce their political, economic, or theological ideologies on you; No, I don't agree with you, the only ideology that ought to be enforced is freedom of practice and thought, excepting practices which prevent freedom of practice and thought (as hypocritical as that sounds) or prevent the "life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness" by others. People who think that the IB program is a UN plot for one world government because it teaches global awareness. Liberal Elitists. Conservative Elitists. People who think that seperation of church and state is only to protect the church. Yes, democratic principles may allow for a religious majority to enforce laws that are based in their theology; but ultimately this is a democracy, not a theocracy. The pope. Sorry, condoms shouldn't just be for "homosexual male prostitutes," because those aren't the only people who spread HIV. Hipsters. Racists. You fail to realize your hate stems not from superiority, but, rather, your discomfiture and insecurity around somebody different from you, and that you feel you must domineer another to ensure your "high" place in the world. Doesn't matter if you are white, black, hispanic, whatever. Hackers who do it "for the lulz" when its really not that funny...there's a time and a place, but its not every time and place. People who fail to recognize that the "left/right" spectrum in politics tends to be based around economica and moral/religious choices, and that the authoritarian/anarchist spectrum determines the level of governmental oversight in things. Conservatives can have big government, liberals can advocate little government oversight, stop (female dog)ing about liberal "big government" and conservative "deregulation." Ghandi was a liberal anarchist, Bush was an Authoritarian Conservative (not to compare the two, one deserves much more credit than the other). Parents who don't want their kids reading a certain book or learning certain things because they feel it might be "corrupting." Guess what, helicopter parents: You can either let your kid learn to let new thoughts wash up on their shores and CHOOSE to accept or refute them, or risk total rebellion and possible death/dismemberment/abuse/immorality because they saw you weren't always right. Generally speaking, people who fail to recognize that, ultimately, we are all humans, with the same basic needs and desires, and that these societal, political, and economic manifestations of our interpretations of how we ought to pursue these aims should not alienate us, nor encourage hostility. I also hate when you can hear the fingers slide over guitar strings (Not the intentional slide). Only acoustic songs really have this problem though.

And the sound of the guitar strings being cleaned (it sounds similar, but louder). Worst part is my dad being a guitar player I hear it all the time.
