I got the 10th vote. Also, I picked neutral, mostly because I never play/played Castle Wars anyways.

Hate it, now there's even more reason to boost the ticket rewards.

I liked it, but the only thing is I would've prefered if they kept the old decorative armour looks but still gave them special effects in game.

 

The new look just looks..... weird, unoriginal.

if i may: what do thay, well, do?

its obvius thay damage your oponent but besides that i cant find anything about them. do thay awto fire? max hit? ect

 

anyway, i says it was good but a few changes where needed. despite i hate the update thats just becouse the rewards are sweet but i hate cwars to no end.

I like some of the changes but I think there's still room for improvement. I'd like to see some more maps and rewards for the other two sides of the combat triangle. It would be nicer if the tickets earned/game was higher but I can't see Jagex doing this for fear of having a lot of angry players. Some of the items require so many tickets that it's almost absurd.

It would work if players were compensated, but I'm not sure if all minigame histories are recorded into player accounts.

Good overall, but I think that they should add the old armours back as well as keeping the new ones.

Only ever played it once for Ardy diary, and wont be playing it again, so I voted 'I cannot or do not play Castle Wars'.

As soon as I can wear helmets/hats in there then Castle Wars will always need improving.

Except from the fact that you can no longer heal a person holding your own flag, or that damage done to this person is doubled, then they ignored flag holding, yes?

They don't have it recorded. The number of games you have played (for highscores and the capes) is the same number as the number of tickets you had in your bank at the time of the update. So any tickets spent on armour in your POH wasn't counted. I personally have 550+ tickets (after I sold the CW armour in my house) but it only shows I've played 378 games (the # of tickets in my bank at the time of the update). They also don't have a record of the most flags/kills- you have to do it after the update to get the capes.

You can sprinkle a turd with glitter but it's still a turd. I never enjoyed this minigame that much so I doubt the rewards will ever tempt me into playing it for long.

The new rewards looks semi-nice, but honestly, I liked the old rewards (armor-wise) way better. However, the shield and the capes are nice. I haven't heard much about the Halo's so I can't say anything about them. ;)

This update ruined my goal completely. I got 95 prayer, extremes, 99 summoning and was going for chaotic maul to wreak havoc on players in castle wars. Now you can use overloads and armor that takes literally years (5 years for best armor?) to get and has best offensive bonus over any armor in the game.

 

Now I can I have to set a goal to wreak havoc defensively. Gonna go for chaotic kiteshield and rapier now and camp enemy catapult with a tinderbox. Woulda preffered maximum damage.

What are you talking about? You will still wreak havoc, just as much as before the update. There's just a few people that will be better because they played caslte wars for years. I doesn't make you hit lower or something.

I'm neutral. I haven't played castle wars a lot as I don't particularly care for it. I generally play mini-games for rewards as well as the fun factor. Castle wars now has the rewards, but for myself is still missing the fun factor. I'm not knocking anyone who enjoys it though. If you like it, then have at 'er. |^_^|

They better fix it so I can get that pro cape within the next 3 years....

I would have preferred that they didn't remove the old armor and only kept it for decorative purposes. I always thought that it looked pretty damn good lol.

You need 500 games to be ranked. But I'm not sure what either of you are talking about since I had 474 games played with 352 tickets banked and 319 worth in armour stands (teir 1 and teir 2).

 

The update is terrible. The armour looks bad and now I have no use for my tickets.

They game one game played per ticket to recognize the old time players.

Sadly they screwed this up because they failed to count all the tickets that people stored as armour stands in their home.

Thus I have 4600+ tickets yet only 1070ish games.

Its significant to me because it would put me in striking distance of the pro-cape.
