Hawks
We recently decided to get rid of our subscription to FamilyFun... So if I can find a cool enough magazine, we can subscribe to it. Currently the only one we get that I like (besides Muse) is Popular Science. My dad gets Golf Digest and Car and Driver; I get Muse (sort of a kids' mag, but awesome nontheless); my brother gets Odyssey and Boy's Life; we also get Diabetes Forecast and JDRF Countdown (diabetes mags) . But I want some awesome magazine like Popular Science, preferably full of geeky goodness (if the people at ThinkGeek published a magazine, that's what I'm talking about) or really bizarre science or something awesome. Things that would also be cool: Lego, ice hockey, soccer, Nintendo, anachronism/LARP/medieval/crazy ren fest goodness, just general awesomeness. I'd go for something in the $30 US or less/year range. Also then, what mags do you get that you like and actually read all the way through? sig by Soa.....tip.it times.....art & mediadeviantart/flickr/last.fm/steam/twitter/tumblr/youtube
tripsis
Well not really what you're looking for, but I subscribe to one magazine: ImagineFX. Full of fantasy and sci-fi digital art/tutorials. Great read and great art. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
Hawks
To be honest, that looks amazing... But it's $125 a year... I'm leaning toward Nintendo Power (:P) ($20 on Amazon) or Wired ($10 on Amazon). sig by Soa.....tip.it times.....art & mediadeviantart/flickr/last.fm/steam/twitter/tumblr/youtube
tortilliachp
The Economist is the only magazine i have a subscription to, probably not what you're looking for. Personally though, i find knowing what's going on in the world every week in terms of policy and economics (with a historical perspective) is essential for understanding the world we live in. Alg
Since you mentioned Lego:There's what I'm sure is an official Lego magazine, but it's crap. Used to be pretty much a catalog for new lego sets, now is pretty much a collection of Clone Wars and Bionicle comics with the occasional teaser for a new set. RpgGamer
Lego mag has seriously sucked since they split it between free members and payed members [and premium members]. Wired is cool. It sounds queer, but I actually like Cosmo. Seriously. its not that bad once you get past the makeup/tampon adds. GameInformer is cool too if you're into that stuff.
