this.

I thought they were only letting 'veteran'-players have free trade and Wild-privileges. They changed their mind in +- 2 days?

Yesterday a 'no'-option was promised, so, where is it?

I don't like being lied to...

Just by making this bogus vote, they have declared that they lost the war on bots and RWT. From this point on, I fully expect RS to be considered from outsiders to be a botter's paradise.

I've been backing up Jagex for the last 3 years saying how they were right for fighting RWTers, gold farmers and botters at large only to have them admit defeat...

I am really disapointed in Jagex, I'm happy for my fellow friends who will enjoy original pking, but if it means I'll have to battle with more and more bots, it will definitely end my participation in this game,

Amen.

What I find more distressing is how people can (and already have) used MY username to vote for something WITHOUT my consent. I am thoroughly, thoroughly pissed about it.

Maybe I can find a legal footnote to get the entire petition voided, can anyone check whether you can actually press charges against these kinds of petitions? :D

Except it's not your name, it's an account leased off Jagex. That's how game accounts usually work, you don't own anything.

My single entity sadly doesn't have as much an impact as that of a large group whose collective IQ is comparable to what's found in a household fishtank.

That's why I have legal rights to fall back on.

Legal rights? Runescape? LOL

I think everyone who thinks this poll is fake due to various leaked screenshots should check this out. I think everyone who thinks that there is even the slightest chance that the poll is fake should check this out. Just bloody check it out :)

Took me no more than 3 - 4 mins to make.

You don't "own" your facebook-account either, would be great fun to post stuff under someone else his name!

You have to login to your facebook account. You do not have to login to do this "poll".

True, Facebook wouldn't be so stupid to make a poll where you don't have to login to vote...

I'm not sure how a login disproves the fact that there is no 'No' vote, regardless of who owns the account.

Those who said Jagex doesn't want our opinion, only free publicity, are right imho.

Because you can totally ruin someone's reputation by voting yes with their username.

"You're fired."

"Why?"

"Because I was browsing the Runescape website and noticed your name on the recently voted list. You want the wilderness back? You real world trading n00blet."

That much is obvious. Even if it were possible for Jagex to quantify how many accounts there are, and this information was released into the public for scrutiny in order to see how many 'No's there are, it's impossible to judge if this vote is fair because of all the corruption (vote bots, people voting on behalf of friends etc.) going on. If this actually was a real vote, and they allowed such rampant abuse of the system, and they still went with the result, they'd be idiots and possibly in legal trouble.

Sadly, true.

Looks like the only legitimate "no" vote you will ever be able to send is with your wallet.

I do hope they post that FAQ in the next day or two - I'd like to read it before I decide if I am casting my "no" vote.

Even adding a 'no' option now would be pointless. So many of our usernames would now not count due to being used to vote yes. It either needs resetting with added 'no' option and login needed or scrapping altogether. Jagex can't use this to sensibly judge anything. How can you use it to test the interest in it coming back when for all we know, over half the votes could be false?

How can they be in legal trouble over the content over their own game. Pretty sure in the T&C there is a clause saying the game is subject to change.

Even if there was a login process - and it was an actual real vote - there is no way of verifying the contents of the poll, nor would they be liable to release such information as they can cite users privacy.

The fact Jagex treats people like idiots and allows them to "Change the shape and course of Runescape forever" in a vain attempt to get more subscriptions over the Xmas period while they're away on holiday, is a reality, but no point getting worked up over it.

Tbh I just treat it with a case of "Que Sera Sera", whatever will be, will be

Adding a 'no' option is pointless even if it was from the start. You think more people want things to stay like this, rather than free trade/ old wild? Not a chance.

I haven't even heard any decent reasons for saying 'no' apart from false assumptions.

One reason people say no is because they want to runecraft in the abyss without getting pked. Which is terrible excuse.

I just cant believe they did a poll like that...

Kjarqu.png

Yes that's the only reason

Some people, you know, like how Runescape is now? Some people didn't experience it and don't believe it was better. Some people don't want to have to wait another two years for Jagex to figure out how to rebalance the game with this in it. Some people don't want even more economic instability. Some people don't want the chance of Runescape going under. Some people don't want to be even more inundated with bots. Some people don't want to be inundated with people who have RWT'd. That is off the tip of my tongue. I know you want the update, but you opinion is an opinion much as mine. With something like this, there is no right answer. It all depends on playing styles. For some reason, people in support seem to be blind to the negatives that will come with bringing it back, thus resorting to twaddle like what has been said.

EDIT: And it seems many who think Jagex never do things right are suddenly thinking they will implement this perfectly? I can guarantee the game won't be as it was 3 years ago.

4 words: welcome to the Internet.

Bullying on RS through PKing? Lmao? Anyone who goes into the wilderness like I_trollz_u said, should be aware of the risks, and it adds to the excitement of RC'ing or doing a clue or whatever. If they don't want to risk anything, they shouldn't go into the wilderness. That's the way it was before and shouldn't be changed with the re-implementation to cater to kiddies who have no balls to lose a few pixels. That's it.

Pkers are not bullies. Most people pk for sport. They pk to pk. Some people dont even pk for money. Real pkers dont kill people that are not pking, which is what you described as "bullying".
