I'll jump on the band-wagon. You have to be a [developmentally delayed] to get scammed. I got scammed only once (if you can really call it a scam). I had ~150k and some dude came near the mining guild (I was mining the gold ore near it) and said he can trim any runite item for free ... I already knew this was impossible but I gave him my rune full helm (don't ask why I mined gold ores in full rune) just to be able to report him :ugeek:. Sadly .. he didn't got banned =/

Hmmm I wonder how many "phases" are going to be ... There is a lot of time 'til the end of the fiasco (14 january if I remember right)

 

The use of the name 'Referendum' strongly suggests that this is the last word on the matter. If it succeeds (although the definition of success is still up to Jagex here, it's probably something like 70% yes votes or something), then the motion gets passed.

EDIT: I'm convinced that Phase 2 was invented as a response to criticism of the flawed vote of the 'petition', as opposed to something which they planned all along. After all, the first vote wasn't called Phase 1 at any point. It's a bit shady, but at least it resolves the issues.

I'm still unhappy that people still feel the need to rig the votes voting on various accounts. If you think your side has so much chance, vote on your main account. It does disgust me just how much the Rs community is willing to cheat in what is a measure of good faith by Jagex.

How is voting on multiple accounts cheating, I ask?

 

I have 5-6 accounts that I play REGULARLY, why shouldn't I vote them all in favor of yes? Seeing as they're all counted by Jagex as active accounts, me voting on only one of them would be like only voting 1/6th of a time..

How is that cheating? I'm sure there are lots of people, pkers and non-pkers alike, that have more than one account. I voted with the account I use right now and one other that I use sometimes to mess around in F2P, does that make me scum?

Although I agree with you Danq that it's not really fair to vote multiple times if you have more than one account, you can take solace in the idea that for every person who votes 'yes' with multiple accounts, there's about a proportionate number of people who vote 'no' with an equal number of accounts. As far as I'm aware, there's no correlation with how you feel about the issue and how many accounts you have.

I'm not sure Will. I would assume that with pkers usually having numerous pures and secondaries, there would be larger number of players wanting yes with numerous accounts than those wanting no. To me though, it doesn't matter which side people vote as long as they do it legitimately. Just don't try to skew the votes. 1 person wants to vote yes, 1 person votes yes once. If not, we may as well go back to phase 1.

Good to see that Jagex confirmed all wildy activities will be moved away, and existing content will not be removed (except PvP worlds ofc).

If the person is stupid enough to step foot in the Wilderness with a rare item and gets killed by a PKer, more power to the PKer who got lucky as hell for another person's misfortune (read: stupidity).

You'll cry about anything, won't ya? It's not as though only the supporters are the only ones against can vote on all accounts, everyone can vote on every account they have, so it's fair. Otherwise you'd just be dismissing people who have taken the time to make and train multiple accounts. Why should some of my accounts get a premium over the others when they were all created many years before the change(i realize that new accounts shouldn't be able to vote, but that's about really the only restriction).

Good point. I'm not sure if there's really anything anybody can do about it. I voted 'yes' with one account, by the way. I support Jagex here, but not fanatically, since it still boils down to a vote on trust.

Voted no. When I saw the results from the 55k polled votes so far I wasn't too surprised tbh. 88% yes, 9% no and 3% don't mind.

I do find it odd that theres no closing date for this election.
