The games necklace will have a teleport option that will take you into the first cave if you have completed Summers End.

Actually I would think it will be the other way around.

 

No grave = Dropped Items Visible to everyone?

 

Meaning if you die at corp (which would be relatively common) instead of being able to run back and pick up your items before the item vanish timer is up, ANYONE could pick up your items immediately. This would make corp more expensive to kill because if you die you lose anything valuable that isn't non-tradeable due to looters. Unless the new grave system doesn't apply to corp that is, and you are given a 60 second grace period. Unless they say otherwise though, I would assume corp death = same mechanics as no grave.

60 seconds is not enough. You have two minutes now, and you still just barely get back in time to pick up all your stuff.

Sorry, I always thought it was 60 seconds for items to vanish. 60 or 120 doesn't really matter though because that wasn't the point of my post :P

 

I wasn't suggesting a time change on retrieving items, simply stating that instead of the old items being visible only to you for a short time, everyone will be able to see them instantly now. Thus making corp much more of a risk (which it should be).

What made you think Jagex would suddenly enable overloads for PvP? GF critical thinking.

 

Because they're all gung [garden tool] on making wildy so bad a$$, and yet they're still catering to the whiners and crybabies who are too poor to level herblore. They overturned their original decision BEFORE the announcement to bring back free trade/wild was announced, so it makes sense that they would re-evaluate the idea. Do you know what critical thinking means, LOL? TBH I've never played a MMO that is so limited (eg. all capped stats and can't use skills that you've earned in PVP).

This really gets down to the morals of cheating versus the morals of being forced to throw away your life [1000's of hours] to access content you enjoy

Isn't life about throwing away your life (a job) to access content you enjoy?

...herp derp... we put revenants in some other dungeon ...derp derp... they drop statues worth millions of gp ...herp...

 

Now we don't even need to kill players to brings tons of cash into the game' date=' just wimpy little ghosts. I hope revenants are [b']WAY[/b] more powerful to balance this out.

Erm...what's the point in pvp if not to have fun and kill your opponent before they kill you? Certainly not for the stimulating conversation...

 

I admit I have been spoiled by MMOs and games with good pvp, I bought into Jagex's hype of them bringing back this great pvp experience. I should've known they were just trying to push a fugly new line of t-shirts :lol:

The balancing factor is that the dungeon is PvP-enabled, so what is likely is that you'll have Revenants attacking you along with clans of PKers.

The overloads were taken out because they were insanely overpowered in player vs player combat, regardless of how high level they are to obtain. It doesn't take too much thought to recognize that they're not going to put them back in, what with it being a balance issue and not a trade issue.

Gravestones

No more Mr.s/Mr. nice guy to bless graves? :( It okay, I blessed graves 100% when I have Prayer/Prayer Pot.

A lot of people will now loot crumbled graves :P

 

Suppose killing leaches will be more fun now at GWD...then again dying accidentily will be a bit less...fun.

The balancing factor is that the dungeon is PvP-enabled, so what is likely is that you'll have Revenants attacking you along with clans of PKers.

 

Unless a clan of players band together to kill the revenants instead of eachother. Jagex usually underestimates the power of players working together when it comes to game balance. Look at Mobilising Armies, Conquest, Stealing Creation, Soul Wars etc. Where players are expected to be pit against eachother, often they may work together for more efficient xp/h.

So this basically either proves that the decision was made beforehand or that Jagex has became 1000x times more efficient at making updates?

In the "Free Trade" FAQ, mods do say one of the enchanted jewellery pieces (I believe it was the games' necklace) will allow to teleport straight to the first cave of the lair though.

Somebody died in the catacombs at barrows yesterday.

I blessed their grave wasting 2/3 of a prayer pot.

In honor of bringing the wilderness back I will never do that again.

I'll just obscure the grave with my character or an npc and loot from now on.

You don't have to bless a grave, people. Repairing it usually gives the person more than enough time to get back to it.

Would be an interesting mechanic where you need to repair a grave at least once to be able to loot it. Encourages good behavior (helping someone that died) to balance out the looting which may or may not be bad behavior.

The guide price will be visible in player-to-player trades so everyone should be able to judge for him/herself whether there is a scammer or not. We think it is much better to give the community the ability to prevent scamming themselves but if you have been scammed, then report this to us.

 

Merchants won't like it I guess.

 

To clarify the issue regarding dying with untradable objects in the wilderness, I can confirm that you will not be able to run back to untradable objects.
