What's the point in playing the game if you have no one to enjoy it with? I wouldn't betray a friend and I probably wouldn't betray a friendly acquaintance- I might make a new friend that way anyway.

I'm gonna be as honest as possible. YES i'm going to betray a friend who I met in Rs. Don't ask me why. In real life friends, no I wouldn't.

No. Most of my friends list is made up of people from Tip.It, people I've worked with on Tip.It or people from other clans/communities I was once a part of.

I prefer to earn my money in RS anyway, even though it's slower than stealing stuff :P

Why would you betray someone over a virtual item? You know it will double hurt the person's feeling.

Not only has he lost hist precious rare item, he also lost a friend. (Although you aren't a friend if u do this to someone)

I'm never going to give my phat to anybody though, even "best friends". To be honest, I don't have many friends on RS anyway. There's maybe 3 people that I'va had added for a loong time and still talk to regularly, and I *would* theoretically trust them, but I'm not gonna try :-).

 

Other people on friendlist: The situation would never apply. I'm not gonna bother setting up a scam. I've got a partyhat, I'm fine.

There's not a single person on my FL that I would betray for a partyhat. I'm just as close to many of my Runescape friends as I am to my IRL friends. There's no difference to me. There's a couple people that I would let borrow any item they wanted, too.

If I caught someone drop trading and there was a partyhat, I definitely would. Sorry for the 2nd post, but I felt it was somewhat necessary.

I would never betray someone for items lol. Though I had a friend betray me for a robin hood hat back in 2007. Obviously he valued that more than a 2 year long friendship.

As much as I'd like to say no, if a RS-only friend lent me a phat and wanted it back later, I couldn't guarantee it that the temptation wouldn't lead me to run off with the damn thing. Then again, I consider myself pretty honest otherwise, so it's not an easy question, and definitely not one that I can answer while almost definitely knowing that the situation is purely hypothetical.
