March 16, 201115 yr Typical3 days after I bought a divine, should've known that they would use this to lower shield prices  No wonder sigils dropped 25-75m the week before the update, jmod friends avoiding the wreckage as usual According to Jagex, who would always know and post 100% reliable information on this subject (and have no reason and nothing to gain by saying this, being completely impartial towards this), there won't be any significant price changes of spirit shields, if there are any real changes at all (beyond, you know, the panic sellers of today) They have the motivation of stopping people from quitting which is huge. Divine/Ely are down over 100m atm, we'll see if they stabilize again. Today should be an utter embarrassment. Time to sell my Elys
March 16, 201115 yr Looks like every high level monster except frost dragons got something added to their drop table...steels get 100+ torstol but frosts get an increased chance of a saphire or emerald. 150 kills and still nothing worth more than the bones. That's not how it works, frosts will have them too. It's called the RARE drop table for a reason. Maybe the herb drops should be nerfed a bit (maybe to max out at 100 or 75, but no lower). There's a reason it seems to only be those 3 herb types that were added. Maybe to bring them more in line with the other herbs in the game?
March 16, 201115 yr A very good update to me ^^. Time to do some slayer soon :). Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
March 16, 201115 yr slaying nechyraels in chaos tunnels with steel titan. if anything at all is attacking my steel titan, it refuses to attack anything no matter how many times I command it to, making him almost completely useless. would be nice if jagex released a single update where they didn't [bleep] things up royally noobs crowding hill giants? not on my watch
March 16, 201115 yr Yeah my steel titan is doing some weird stuff now as well. When I was at TD's earlier and specced with it, it hit range, melee and mage damage at the same time. If the goal was to seriously confuse the TD it worked, but it is now really ineffective there and simply slows kills down.
March 16, 201115 yr Xpx, Seed prices have always been tied to the herb prices, and further to the pot prices. Profits should always stay relatively the same with farming herbs as the seeds will also go down as the price of herbs go down. Will that be the case too when most of the supply of high end herbs comes from monster drops? You have got to remember that the herbs people mostly farm basically only came from farming(toad, snap and torstol), but now, there is a source that provides an equal or higher supply of those three herbs, cutting profits by atleast half, if not making it completely useless(seeing as you have to have juju farming potions to farm any herbs anyway). 5k drops of coal and 500 drops of raw sharks kill any chance those two skills had of making money(for reference, you can mine like 1k coal or 150 sharks in an hour). This is jagex basically saying: 'Oh f*** you, skillers' First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.First to 3766 Port Score on 20. March, 2014.First to 4664 Port Score on 2. March, 2015.

Yeah, sometimes the titan will just stare at a monster without attacking at all. I don't understand how they can't get that ONE familiar right. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.
March 16, 201115 yr I'd like to say to everyone going "[bleep] the skillers, if this makes MY game better and cheaper I don't care", you are the cancer that is killing Runescape. It's that sort of attitude that is why people leave this game, and this community. Training skills is a legitimate way of making money and it should NOT be negated by combat yet again. I'm getting sick to death of this, I honestly am. Jagex [bleep] up and smack skillers in the face once more and all people can do is go YAY because it makes things cheaper for THEM. We should NOT have to boss hunt or merch to make money. I refuse to let the game be boiled down to just two things. It is simply wrong. I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. I rarely write in [My Blog]. March 16, 201115 yr those who refuse to adapt deserve to be surpassed How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
March 16, 201115 yr those who refuse to adapt deserve to be surpassed^ This. But, on double XP weekend, I was making far more money hunting and selling grenwall spikes for 3.5 - 4.5K each then I would have doing PvM. (OMG, even TDs?!). RuneScape is combat based. Face it. They don't have to make skilling more profitable for those who don't enjoy or take part in combat as it was intended.

March 16, 201115 yr to open the effigies in all seriousness, i never said that skills shouldn't all be important. i was just refuting the notion of "im a skiller my life is ruined boohoo we pay we say" How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
March 16, 201115 yr I think the logical thing to do would've been to have RoW work in more skilling places than just PP. That's a given imo. It's true that combat is better money and likely will always be, but it doesn't mean that skillers don't deserve increases to their far outdated incomes. ~It's Super Effective! March 16, 201115 yr 100 torstols or snapdragons isn't so bad. It's only 2 herb runs. Minus the seed costs. :ohnoes:
March 16, 201115 yr The game needed a way to get more herbs and more farming seeds. They cost too much right now.I think these new drops are a step in the right direction to fix that problem.Farming always sucked for money and its the most expensive 99 to buy.Anything that changes that like this update works for me. Exclusive Legacy Mode Player He just successfully trolled you with "courtesy" and managed to get a reaction out of you. Lol

I only get like 30k xp per hour while I'm waiting. Jagex, I want to play this game, not waiting on some plants to grow! Click here to see my bank, skills and qp.
March 16, 201115 yr wow, I'm away one day, and jagex [bleep]ed up again. A Guide to Chinning in Ape atoll: up to 325kxp/h!
March 16, 201115 yr Honestly I'm glad skillers now have a hard time making money. We have to pay for expensive armor and whatnot, they have to pay for an axe. OH GODZ MY AXE IS NOW WORTHLES WAT AM I 2 DO!? Death to skillers.
March 16, 201115 yr Xpx, Seed prices have always been tied to the herb prices, and further to the pot prices. This is jagex basically saying: 'Oh f*** you, skillers' cheaper herblore > skillers making money No reason you cant have both. Simply multiply the # of herbs received from farming by 400%. Skillers get the same, if not more, profits, and Herblore is reduced in cost. The problem is monsters dropping resources in general. If Runescape were to be a "perfect" system, the only materials for smithing come from mining, ect.. NPC's shouldn't drop raw materials from skills or finished products from skills. NPC's should only drop; raw materials that gathering skills dont offer (eg, dragonhide), finished products skills dont offer (eg, Granite), Coins, Nothing. But this was the way Runescape was designed from the beginning, and no way to back on that now. It's Jagex's game, so they can take it on any direction they want.. but right now this is how it is. 1) Gather raw materials via Slayer/Combat 2) Use/Sell/Buy raw materials to gain XP in Production Skills 3) Gain XP in production skills that give no benefit other than XP, Skill capes, mini-games, and total levels. It doesn't make much sense to me, but what do I know. I'm just 1 of thousands of players in this game. My opinion is really an irrelevant minority.
March 16, 201115 yr Game seems a bit backwards to me. Super rare items that are necessary for everyone in the game to own for the game to expand, but too rare to own. While previous difficult to gather items are now dropping massively in general making a gather skill alot less useful. (aka same problem smithing has but smithing was always hit harder due to less demand.) It would make more sense to keep a gathering skill as it should be. While implementing a new better system for weapons/armour so they arnt so ridiculously rare. This will keep medium level drops for good profit. Combat simply needs a different form of making money and its not hard to figure out if that 'medium' method of making money isnt good enough. Its never been hard to figure out a better way for combat.. loads of solutions thats waste my time to state them. Other than that I dont see why combat has to give hundreds of milions in profit combared to 10's of millions. While skilling gives negative hundreds of millions or negative 10's millions depending on skill. This just put it even more in favor of combat again. That said the main problem is the huge inbalance of it. Instead of 10 noted herbs its instead ridiculously high. So thats the main reason it makes no sense. To me it just shows another sign of cashing in on their main favorite skill while not maintaining the foundations of their other skills which means no longterm focus on the longevity and competitiveness with other games. This is a short term update for their main skill ignoring fact that the masses enjoy multiple skills and may get bored longterm. They need a positive vibe for keep members NOW and NOW is the time they must get members as high as possible without current members quitting. Its far from the worse move.. but pretty obvious to me why they did it. Same as the other previous times lol >.< Can bet next update will be similar. There will even be a day where they release a skill update and claim that as their trophy for all the sheeple to gather around and praise them. Shame really. Personally I am still crossing fingers this is a bug? I been too busy pay much attention. But I hope so. When I say bug I more referring to an error with their numbers.
