Orange fonts? I thought the last time they tried this, people complained about how it hurt their eyesight and that it was unappealing. Well, that was some years ago, let's see how well it takes.

Equipment interface doesn't win me over in terms of wow factor; it looks a bit unnecessary. Then again, I'm not sure how well it meshes with the rest of the in-game interface yet.

As for the miscoloring of the Strength amulet: Just a programmer's nitpick, but how is it freaking possible that this keeps happening? Separate item, separate identification, separate way to deal with the item...

While in the skill guide, under milestones, it designates that Skill Mastery is member's only.

Not sure if it is signifying anything but seems odd they would say that mastery was member's only when only the skill cape is. Probably over thinking it a bit though.

Does anyone know if the boots stack with the penance horn? As in would they then last for 2mil experience. If so that would be pretty awesome.

Nope.

Obtained quest cape and base 92 before obtaining any 99s! Currently finishing out my 99s with the (long-distant) goal of comp cape.

The vampyre banker in Darkmeyer has been replaced with a bank chest.

NOOOO

NOOOOOOOO

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

why's that bad

because of how mad it made people when the quest came out

"Where's the banker?"

"Somewhere near Barrows"

I saw some people complaining about their Amulet of Power turning green as well, so might be some issue with general enchanted gold necklaces.

I'm assuming it means that you can bank without having to worry about wearing your vyre set... And also eliminates all of the fridge logic about the vyre banker accepting your vyrewatch corpses or giving you your blisterwood items without any suspicion (Or, in the second case, dying painfully).

Or how the vyre banker is able to connect to the human banking system, and allow you to access the bank account of a human myreque agent... A human who will most likely throw off his or her disguise the instant s/he's done doing business with the banker... :-k

Either way, something good from this update, so long as you don't think about how bank chests work

My gloves have 89% of the charge remaining in them. Meaning that's what's left over from last year. Am I able to use up that 89% and recharge them completely, afterwards?

I am trying this as well. I got the gloves last year but only used 12% of them. I went to take them out of my POH, and was surprised to see 88% still remaining. I am using that first, and hopefully when I reach 0, I will be allowed to recharge, seeing as I haven't fought Hati yet. I'd say I'd update this with what I find, but I'm sure someone else will find out before me lol.

Or the fact that you can ask the banker "Didn't you used to be called the Bank of Varrock?"

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

In the view of the banker, it was more along the lines of fridge horror if you considered how it felt. In RuneScape, logic need not apply at all.

So I read the above about how charges stayed from last year, about 10 min after I've already killed both wolves, so I'm like "Oh, dang."

Then I remember that I had 100% charge because I never needed to use them. Thank you JaGEx. Thank you for your continued convoluted bullshit logic about how Summoning is a full-blown combat skill but can't be trained with retarded amounts of bonus XP like all of the others, even though it's the only combat XP I need.

Not with PC. Not with BXPW. Not with the Dominion Tower. Not with these gloves.

It was understandable when Summoning was new, but not now.

I don't think awarding bonus experience is really the answer for Summoning, when the main complexity of the skill comes with actually obtaining the charms and shards. Maybe offering something that lets you teleport to the spirit plane released on the Day of the Dead, like visiting the Church Graveyard in Lumbridge and praying at one of the tombs decorated with candles, to collect a certain amount of shards for free each day for a week etc etc. But I agree with the concept, Summoning could use a bit of help here and there. It gets shafted compared to every other skill where money is the main component for obtaining raw materials (like construction for example.)

The new skill interface bugs me... a lot... Visually that orange text needs to just go... It's too dark to be sitting on black for one thing, and it just does not look appealing at all. Some of the icons are ick too (DG icon = *PUKE*). :wall:

Is it bad that I only realized there now that the writing in skill icons is now orange? I didn't even know that it wasn't yellow before the update...

I maintain my nitpick; who was messing around with the base object that caused this bug to happen? Shouldn't occur that often anymore. Back in 2005-2006? Fine; they didn't know what they were doing with this new system. Now?? Someone needs to remember that unit and integration tests are a developer's only saving grace.

Sorry Makoto but I don't see any point in complaining over items people barely use. I think it's actually quite typical of the general population to find something every week to complain about, at this point it's just pathetic. It's a [bleep]ing amulet.

There's a difference (slight, but existent) between complaining for no good reason and nitpicking. As a developer, one would expect that bugs like this don't seep into the game after happening several times before. As a student and future software developer, I take great umbrage when I see bugs like this escape what should be a thorough and integrated test environment. I really don't care about the amulets; I care about how Jagex has tested their code.

Sorry I don't see a difference between the two. Both are unnecessary when it comes to something so incredibly minor that members of Tip.It would of course discuss.

What are the chances that it's something they didn't test, because, you know... changing the interface colours has nothing to do with in-game items. It's not like it's affecting your gameplay (Not that you play, but anyone elses).

I don't believe there were any glitches or issues regarding the update? Therefore one could say they tested it well.

After all, they're only human. As are you, and I. Not everything can be spotted.

Unrelated to that, I don't like the new XP counter at all. It's too small and hidden away. Also I like the new Fireworks for level-ups.

It's not just enchanted amulets either, the basic gold amulet does the same thing and it doesn't even have a gem in it.

THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P.

So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually...
