  • Here's a funny thing, I'm having a birthday barbecue tomorrow with homemade burgers, and my dad suggested getting small cubes of strong red cheddar cheese, wrapping them in a basil leaf, and then poki

theyre called 'Chips' in Britain anyway.

Lucky fatty me gets to have it Twice tomorrow :/

and no offense, but America's has nothing on Britain's Fish & Chips

Um... Those are fries my uneducated foreigner.

Even in the United States they're called fish and chips.

On their own they are fries... but together, not so much. :P

What kind of unpatriotic, son of a gun American calls them that?!

I don't really think we have those things around here...but I never know. Maybe Army or Tripsis might know if we do, they live 'round the same area as me.

We call it fish 'n' chips here in East Coast Amehrka, but only as a whole - on their own, they're "fries".

OH I see now. It depends on the combination and whatnot. Okay. I'll call it Fish n' Fries then, just to be a rebel.

Yeah in Canada (and as I understand it the USA) what you call chips we call fries except when they are pared with deepfried fish, because fish n chips is brit food.

I had scrambled eggs with bacon, ham, pepper jack cheese, and onions for breakfast today.

So good. I love eggs with tons of other stuff in them.

Had a delicious burger today. 8oz of the nicest burger meat I've ever had, with lovely, crunchy salad, with ketchup and mayo inside a lovely bun, with a side of fries.

Our advisory teacher is so kind ^-^

Today she gave each of us a piece of choco-peanut butter brownies if we brought our silent reading book. Since all of us did, we all got one. Let's just say it's an awesome dessert, I never thought of peanut flavor in chocolate cake

Chocolate originated in America. How dare you.

Peanut butter cookies are delicious fresh from the oven with a Hershey's Kiss in the middle.

Do not judge till you have tried, Woodenfruit. Keep an open mind on chocolate, it's a wonderful food.

I've tried those cup things and a bit of a Hershey's chocolate bar, they both tasted like ash :(

Stroopwafel_by_Snowflaky.jpg

Anyone else had these before? I'm craving some right now. I haven't had stroopwafel in years. D:

A stroopwafel (English translation: syrup waffle or treacle waffle) is a waffle made from two thin layers of baked batter with a caramel-like syrup filling in the middle.

Now that I thought about it, I can see how you would think there's no good American chocolate. The big brand chocolates (Hershey's) are junk, and most of the quality stuff is supposedly foreign. However, some of the best sweets I've had come from small, little-known local places. You really just have to look around a bit. For example, fudge from most places on Cape Cod is delicious, but there isn't any major company selling it, it's just individual family-run stores. It's a bit of a gamble going into those as a foreigner, I guess.

Oh, and Wongtong, the pic isn't showing up but the description sounds great.

I have discovered a take away that sells better-than-

mcdonalds burgers. these little gems makes my life

much better ;P the burgers are soooo rich in flavour.

today i had a rather plain dinner of veggies, chicken

and potatoes but it all turned better when i employed

the cheese sauce. cheese sauce makes the world go

around.
