The Pink one is the 120 cape, reading over the HLF topic Mod Chris L made in the forum..

@Gino:

The design is sort of hard to describe, but the middle is black with pink and green cabbage spots, the trim is bright yellow with a sky blue velociraptor wearing a partyhat on it and the whole thing spells like purple.

Of course, just kidding, I can't say what colour it is but based on what you've put there I'm sure you won't be disappointed :D

-Chris

^ Obvious troll at first, but he said to Gino if that's what he wants he won't be disappointed and Ginos post is quoted below.

Hi Chris I have a question i'm hoping you could answer on the completionist cape.

A while ago, players held a vote on what colour they want the cape to be. There was a good amount of people in the HLF that voted either gold or pink if memory serves.

Could you please let us know if the cape colour / trim follows what the players voted for a while ago?

And if not, could you tell us if we get to choose the cape colour / the trim?

Thanks, hope to see it very soon. :)

-Gino

On requirements for it

@Bing12342001:

Sorry you feel that this might be a bit spoiler-ish. I was asked to converse with you guys on what you felt was an acceptable "ask" for this cape rather than overlooking any thoughts or perspectives any of you may have.

I'd hope the nature of the first post would imply those who don't want more information/potential spoilers would stop reading there. (Although I know it's all too easy to read on). "Everything" has not been disclosed, I've tried to avoid anything other than the topic of of this thread, there will still be plenty to get excited or surprised about upon release.

To answer the concern from the last page - yes there will be a list. I won't say how or where you see it but if you can't obtain the Completionist cape, you'll have a definitive list of what you personally still need to unlock to get access to it.

-Chris

Morning,

Took a bit longer than expected this morning, but it was a good delay - I've been on the capes again, putting in some functionality that I'm hoping you'll like...

It's been hectic. A lot of animations flying around, people back and forthing on emotes, improvements being made and some cracking capes taking shape I hope!

So, "The list" for completionists. As it currently stands this has boiled down to the following:

-----------------------------------

All skill levels at maximum

All quests complete

All tasks complete

All magic spells unlocked

All prayers unlocked

All museum Kudos

All music unlocked

Miniquests:

-Abyssal miniquest

-Ghostly robes+Shadow sword

-Land of the Goblins burial

-Tarns lair complete

-Clarence found and buried

-Stronghold of player safety complete

-Stronghold of security complete

-----------------------------------

Not completionist enough for you Castle Wars? Well don't worry, you'll likely have something as well... ;)

Hope that helps,

-Chris

^ some of the things mentioned requires, which means I have done all miniquests like chimp ices, I hope there's nothing I'm forgetting :P

Tht last message heavily implies they listen on the fact this master cape shuld not be the ultimate completeionist cape and that tht needs to include EVERYTHING that can be measurably "completed"

As long as the 5yr has pretty good stats I can live with the fuglyness

I'd be surprised if the stats are in any way better to what we currently have access to.

I'd be more inclined to think that the capes will have no stats at all, like clan capes.

They're aesthetic items, surely. Jagex are not likely to hand out Chaotic capes to people who have played for a few years.

Yeah I can imagine the capes of 10s will have stats all worse than a 99 cape.

The cape for all 99s be slightly better than skill capes

And master cape be better still

But the 5 and 10 yr capes i cant imagine being better than a skill cape

Why would a cape that requires 13,034,431 exp to get (level 99 (skill cape)) have better stats than a cape that requires 133,658,300 exp to get (all skills level 90 cape)?

Edit: Even the all 70s cape will require more total exp than a skill cape will.

99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving.

Jagex'd out of my untrimmed hp cape on 6/14/2011.

Eventually the quest cape will need more experience than a trimmed skillcape, and that has higher stats.

Well obviously I didn't crunch numbers you can infer fthou tht I meant it'd be stat to xp related so obv 70 80 90 99 wuld be > skill cape

I can't imagine the quest cape ever needing more than 10x the exp of a 99 skill though. My point was that it would only make sense for atleast the all 90s cape to be better than a skillcape, seeing as how it takes over 10x the exp of a 99.

99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving.

I can. It already requires somewhere between 3 and 4 times the xp for a 99 iirc.

And given time it is inevitable between new skills arriving and the game advancing the total xp and max lvls needed for quests will rise at some point quest cape will have crazy high reqs.

120 dung cape > all except the uber cape, and yes that includes the all 99 cape (most players with max total and 99 dung are the worst players ive ever encountered)

vet cape shows nothing special, 90s capes decent, shows balance at least, mini "maxed" cape i guess

i sure hope these capes have a few good stats/abilities

You don't seem to be a bit biased at all, Squisher...

Thinking about it... I'm not so sure if I can wear the "Veteran" cape right away...Pretty sure it won't be for a few more months...Not that I care, essentially. Skillcape's worth more, in my own opinion.

According to RSWikia's highest levels needed for each quest, the total exp you need to complete all quests is 19,954,537. So the quest cape doesn't even require double the exp of a 99 skill yet. This is why I find it hard to imagine the quest cape requiring over 10x the exp of a 99 skill in the future. The only way I could see that happening is if Jagex started releasing a lot of quests with a lot of 90+ skill requirements. So far the highest they require is 80 magic (or 85 combat, but combat level isn't really a skill level).

99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving.

Guys lets put a rectangle on a hood and colour it, then call it a cape.

Really? After designing such nice looking items like dungeoneering things and nex equipment, they make the cape look like [cabbage]? Why does it stick out of your body. Give it some curves or flow or some [cabbage].

You must admit, the maxed/uber cape or whatever they're gonna call it, does look cool - besides the colours. Jeese, just compare how those 2 capes look. At least put some [bleep]ing effort into a 5 year cape. 10 year cape better not look crap next year.

They will have 80+ smithing, crafting, etc. requirements in the future. 90+ cb req's and 90+ cooking/fletching/woodcutting requirements in the future.

Expensive or slow skills WILL have lvl 80+ requirements in quests and easy/fast skills will have 90+ in the future. I have no doubt this will happen within the next 3 years.

I bet as time goes on, you will start seeing more quest requirements in the high 80's, but I doubt they will make any requirements above 90. They want to have some hard requirements, but not make it so that only the most elite players can get the quest cape.

I can see sometime within the next 5 years the total XP for quest cape being somewhere around 5x a 99, but I don't really see it going much past that.

It was a guaranteed content poll: Yes, the vet cape does look very white trash (flames?). I won't be wearing it, but I'll be hopeful that the 10 year cape looks good (or that the Cape of 7/8s has good stats).

What were people expecting exactly, a magical faerie to follow you around and [cabbage] rainbows while stroking your ego by proclaiming "THIS USER IS THE BEST OF ALL OF RUNESCAPE!" It looks as un-clothlike as all the other capes, sure, but I wasn't expecting anything else.

I actually think the design looks nice, honestly. >_>

I'm with you. I don't think it looks awful. My only concern is that it looks so damn stiff, like it was made from cardboard.

Reminds me of a Family Guy episode...

"What is that, some blue board?"

"No, it's Chris' blanket."

"Gross."

That's the first thought I had. The corners and bottom need to fall down better, not stick out.

I'm excited for these, just got all 80+ today
