September 29, 200619 yr I tried the new run button yesterday because I was as bored as usual, and found that to turn run on and off, you dont actually need to click the tiny circle, clicking on the man (which is a lot larger), it toggles the run on and off. In fact clicking on either circle serves the same purpose. Sorry if this has been posted before, but its something i noticed. This run button is actually BETTER than original if you get used to it, 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills. Dragon Pickaxe Drops: 1 (Times after I first entered Battlefield: 2h)
September 29, 200619 yr I would agree, also, all the other 'On/Off' buttons seem more helpful considering you dont have to click a seperate square, instead just the icon, although the notification that have it on or off takes a tiny bit of squinting.
September 29, 200619 yr yeah and it doesn't really other me about it being changed because if i don't wanna do that i can always use the keyboard shortcut Doing a little bit of everything
September 29, 200619 yr just press the CTRL button and u run as well. Press CTRL and click on the runescape screen =D> Deep inside the Abbys, a creature full of darkness...
September 29, 200619 yr I don't have a problem with the run button itself, what I would like changed is the text size of the run energy percentage. I personally think it is too small and could be increased a little.
September 29, 200619 yr The clicking on the image thing is in the KB. Its in the new section under controls. Sig Under ConstructionCurrent Goals: FIshing 91/99 Cooking 93/99

But, i think its bad, it needs to be like the same size as the last run button! 99 Pics - Range, Defence, HP, Attack, Magic, Strength, Cooking

September 29, 200619 yr I was worried at first about the run button, but I got used to it in no time whatsoever. Good job, Jagex. But, I am a nag and I will complain: it's a pity you can't instantly see your weight. I used to check that all the time, one of my compulsions :) (Uhh, and yeah, I'm female... would that have anything to do with it? *grin*)

September 29, 200619 yr Its okay...but I really dont like the emote screen. I know...i'll hold my breath till Jagex changes it back! :-X
September 29, 200619 yr if you just hold ctrl then click on the place you wanna go on the mini-map you just run auto, this is so useful in the wildy! Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?Final Fantasy Currently Listening To ~ Hotel California / The Eagles
September 29, 200619 yr Doesn't anyone but me think that there should just be a run button on the main screen? So you don't have to go into a menu to get it... Need assistance in any of these skills? PM me in game, my private chat is always ON
September 30, 200619 yr if you just hold ctrl then click on the place you wanna go on the mini-map you just run auto, this is so useful in the wildy! this is common knowledge plus has been posted at least 3 times on this topic.. And now that I know this, I actually like the update! Aside from the fact they changed the tab it is on, I always get messed up.
September 30, 200619 yr it needs to be like the same size as the last run button! I agree! Its actually bigger now ands its a toggle which is (or will be when we're used to it) easier to use. Why is 'common sense' so named, when there is so little of it about?Welcome to puberty, we've been expecting you.
September 30, 200619 yr Great find! The GES, the only clan ruled by a Goat. "How did it start? I mean, did one kid just yell out lets have sex!""
September 30, 200619 yr The new run thing is a bit of a pain. Old habits die hard and I keep clicking into the emote page. I mean, seriously, the emotes don't need a whole freaking page to themselves, they're stupid emotes nobody uses anyway! They need to put back the run energy and the weight carried to where they were or I'll just scream. But, I am a nag and I will complain: it's a pity you can't instantly see your weight. I used to check that all the time, one of my compulsions :) (Uhh, and yeah, I'm female... would that have anything to do with it? *grin*) Being female prolly doesn't have anything to do with it. I'm a guy and I used to check a lot too. But I'm gay so . . . eh w/e. We don't rebel to sell it just suits us well, we're the bright young things.
September 30, 200619 yr Dunno if this has been posted (from RS forums): Mod Jon H Jagex Mod 29-Sep-2006 18:54:13 Here's the message from Content Development. Please read it carefully before you comment. - The Run button's too high up the interface, so it's hard to click. Well, it's always been at the top left corner of an interface, so there's no difference there. Anyway, we're planning to move it down to the bottom where it'll be more convenient and accessible. - People can't tell that the clickable area of the Run button is as big as before. They think they have to aim for the little circles. Ok, we're redesigning the button to make it really clear which area you can click on, and this area will be as big as it was in the original interface.

Is weight really an equipment bonus? I think not; your inventory affects it too. The other thing I don't like is, run energy updates every 3 or 4 seconds, instead of more instantly like it used to. It shows drops of several percentage points at once sometimes, depending on what you weigh. You might say its just something I wont mind after I get used to it.. dont. I hate that about prayers too :uhh:
