Run button isnt as bad as everyone thinks

I tried the new run button yesterday because I was as bored as usual, and found that to turn run on and off, you dont actually need to click the tiny circle, clicking on the man (which is a lot larger), it toggles the run on and off. In fact clicking on either circle serves the same purpose.

Sorry if this has been posted before, but its something i noticed. This run button is actually BETTER than original if you get used to it,

Yep, and there is a HUGE topic about it on the RSOF.

But, i think its bad, it needs to be like the same size as the last run button!

I was worried at first about the run button, but I got used to it in no time whatsoever. Good job, Jagex.

But, I am a nag and I will complain: it's a pity you can't instantly see your weight. I used to check that all the time, one of my compulsions :) (Uhh, and yeah, I'm female... would that have anything to do with it? *grin*)

The new popup stat screen has your weight! :)

if you just hold ctrl then click on the place you wanna go on the mini-map you just run auto, this is so useful in the wildy!

this is common knowledge plus has been posted at least 3 times on this topic..

And now that I know this, I actually like the update! Aside from the fact they changed the tab it is on, I always get messed up.

I agree!

Its actually bigger now ands its a toggle which is (or will be when we're used to it) easier to use.

Why is 'common sense' so named, when there is so little of it about?

Welcome to puberty, we've been expecting you.

The new run thing is a bit of a pain. Old habits die hard and I keep clicking into the emote page. I mean, seriously, the emotes don't need a whole freaking page to themselves, they're stupid emotes nobody uses anyway! They need to put back the run energy and the weight carried to where they were or I'll just scream.

Being female prolly doesn't have anything to do with it. I'm a guy and I used to check a lot too. But I'm gay so . . . eh w/e.

We don't rebel to sell it just suits us well, we're the bright young things.

Here's the message from Content Development. Please read it carefully before you comment.

- The Run button's too high up the interface, so it's hard to click.

Well, it's always been at the top left corner of an interface, so there's no difference there. Anyway, we're planning to move it down to the bottom where it'll be more convenient and accessible.

- People can't tell that the clickable area of the Run button is as big as before. They think they have to aim for the little circles.

Ok, we're redesigning the button to make it really clear which area you can click on, and this area will be as big as it was in the original interface.

That kind of bothers me. Is weight really an equipment bonus? I think not; your inventory affects it too.

The other thing I don't like is, run energy updates every 3 or 4 seconds, instead of more instantly like it used to. It shows drops of several percentage points at once sometimes, depending on what you weigh. You might say its just something I wont mind after I get used to it.. dont. I hate that about prayers too :uhh:
