October 29, 200619 yr Read tip.it's guide. One of the first things they say is: WARNING: BEFORE YOU BARROW TURN OFF ACCEPT AID
October 29, 200619 yr Bug abuse is when there is a fault within the game, i.e. killing players outside the wilderness. This is not bug abuse as this spell is meant to be cast on other players. Durial is always in my heart! Qizx2- ArchmagePersonnumber100- Warlock for life.Would you?
October 29, 200619 yr Doesn't JaGex consider that Item Scamming if you die? I saw a post on this before It's not bug abuse, but it does fall under the rule of item scamming. Regardless, Jagex has told us time and again to REPORT THESE PEOPLE. They are working in a way to inhibit your playing of the game. My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. Believe me, nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won. -Sir Arthur Wellesley
October 29, 200619 yr Maybe technically it's not bug abuse, but only low lifes would use it to their advantage. I haven't seen many noobs hanging around there lately. Maybe Jagex banned them or they've gone to the Abyss. If you see someone just hanging around in Dharok's (or any brother's) tomb, check your accept aid setting before fighting them.
October 29, 200619 yr It is not bug abuse, however the one time it happened to me - I was killing dharok and I had low prayer points, he had low health, I was about to click on a prayer potion and then the screen came up, so I knew if I tried to do anything I would most likely die. I could have tried to turn accept aid off, my prayer points would have run out by then, and hopefully get two low hits from dharok, but I was a low level and panicking, so I just accepted the teleother and walked back  The funny thing was I was (And probably always will) using Satenza's guide for Noobes so I had nothing of worth, just monks robes, a bow and some chaos runes. So if people would go such a length just to get about 10k's worth of runes, imagine what they would do for someone who actually has armour
October 29, 200619 yr If you get desperate just accept the tele other. Then, when you go back, turn accept aid off. Then you have no problems. You don't have to keep closing the window...you can just accept it when they tele you if you are worried.
October 29, 200619 yr 2 things 1) anybody stupid enough to leave on Accept Aid, kind of deserves it, they must have learnt to do Barrows from a friend, or a guide and they should've told them about that. 2)its not bug abuse but it is considered scamming. on my other account ages ago, i spent a day in dharoks tomb alching, people for some reason get offended by that because they think you're going to teleother them, a spell which i couldn't even do at the time. they still got annoyed, because i was a "noob" and a "scammer" when i was doing nothing ahh well i made 2m off people dieing on their own, so why would i need to teleother?
October 29, 200619 yr I wouldn't consider this wrong, if you get killed by this, it's your fault, it's like, if you get hacked and lose your stuff, except hacking IS illegal. Lamest attempt at a lure ever. No, Ive seen "selling easter egg 5m must be level 78 77 or 76 and meet at varrock bar unarmed.
October 29, 200619 yr Welcome to Tip.it! This a very annoying tactic that people who have no lifes and no ways to make their own money. I don't know if this could be considered bug abuse but you can always ask JAGEX, there is no harm in asking... If you find this happening to you often, just turn accept aid "off". ~Saruman44 I have all the 99s, and have been playing since 2001. October 29, 200619 yr It's bug abuse, because it's an unintended action in the game that the designers did not want. Obviously, if Jagex wanted players offing each other at the barrows, they'd have allowed players to attack each other directly. Teleother spells were intended to allow other players to assist one another getting around, not to allow some less than honest folk to steal from more well-off players. Bug abuse isn't always elaborate, as in actually hacking the game. It is exploiting a loophole that isn't supposed to be there. That isn't a bug. A "bug" is an error in the programming. Like, for example adamant plates accidentally turn blue because Jagex typed in the wrong picture code, so you start selling them as rune plates while they're really addy, or a POH expels you while you're still in PvP mode, and you go PKing in falador. Exploiting a loophole is TOTALLY different from exploiting a bug. If Jagex has concerns with it, they will fix it later. For example, killing my 250k magic xp per hour trick. :( They used to allow trades to take place inside the Mage Training arena, including the alchemy room. Also, deposits granted 2 XP per gold piece. However, you couldn't bring money in. So what I did was recruited 30 alchers. They would cast alchemy, and trade me 20 gp for a nat inside. I would deposit the gp for xp, and they would get a few gp left over, with no runes used, and free magic xp for alching. Is this exploiting the way the game is made? Yes. Is it a bug? No. Jagex's response was to change it so you cannot trade in there anymore. This changed the week after I got 82 magic. The point is, just because something is abusive doesn't mean it's a bug. In all honesty, I hate this as well. But it doesn't make it a bug. You can just turn accept aid off if someone starts doing it to you. That's probably why Jagex hasn't fixed it yet. October 29, 200619 yr Well I asked a mod about it once because I thought it was item scamming and i was in an argument with someone, and she said yes. But other mods have said no.. :? ..soo :|
October 29, 200619 yr Yes, it is dishonourable and the like, but it is not bug abuse. Teleother is intended to be used there, just as it is intended to be used in any other area of RS. Exactly. I like comparing it to luring. It's dishonorable, completely legal, and is easy to do and avoid. I do English to Japanese and Japanese to English translation for free! Just keep it under 5 sentences, and PM me to use my fluency in Japanese to your advantage!
October 29, 200619 yr No abuse here. Sure, it's "n00by", but the player needs to learn how to turn Accept Aid off.
October 29, 200619 yr this IS considering item scamming, but not bug abuse. I sent a query to Jagex a loooong time ago they said it WAS IN FACT item scamming. In Soviet Russia, glass eats OTers. Alansson Alansson, woo woo woo! Pink owns yes, just like you!GOOOOOOOOOO ALAN! WOO!
October 29, 200619 yr I have nothing to say to this thread that has already been said. But if you're about to die...Why not accept their teleport out to safety? :) Knowledge Talks| | Wisdom Listens~~Heroes Get Remembered, But Legends Never Die~~Xbox Live & Playstation Network Name: Trojann2
October 29, 200619 yr All they have to do is click on the wrench and turn off accept aid. Tele-other doesn't stop you from doing that.
October 29, 200619 yr Either turn off accept-aid or accept their "aid." If you let them tele you out, be sure to come back and thank them for saving your life

Bug abuse would be something that is wrong with the game itself. You wouldn't consider people switching items right before the end of a trade bug abuse, would you? It's scamming, not bug abuse. October 29, 200619 yr I've sent in a query to Jagex, and when I get it, I'll throw a screenshot up of the response. don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat

October 29, 200619 yr not bug abuse - and if you hate it so bad and your not SMART enough to turn off accept aid then click ACCEPT perhaps? and get teled away safely 4000000657th to 99 cookin555555406th to 99 flethcin

I like comparing it to luring. It's dishonorable, completely legal, and is easy to do and avoid. It's not like luring at all. In the wild people are warned that other players can attack, and kill them there. While someone just wants to relax and do barrows, they're not going to be expecting an attack from another player trying to kill them.. To the people saying just turn aid off, yes, that'll work. But that doesn't change the fact that it's still item scamming. Why is the Runescape community so messed up now days that you can't even play a minigame without fear of people trying to kill you? October 30, 200619 yr How is it bug abuse? I guess if you're casting a spell, it's bug abuse. "Oh my god! He cast wind burst! Ban him!" Have you ever been to barrows or read what other people said? Those Jagex people intended teleother spells to be used on other players, so I wouldn't call it "bug abuse" per se. However, it is item scamming or at least an abuse of the spell. P.S: I think they should ban anyone who could cast wind burst :XD: (Just had to say that) exactly what i was thinking. Simple fix though... accept aid off.
October 30, 200619 yr turn ur accept aid off we were given this privledge to get easy exp, everything has a cost.
