December 5, 200619 yr I doubt that the Wise Old Man has anything new to tell us... He even states that Saradomin created the world all by himself, and he fears the Mahjaratt... When you mention to him that you learnt ancient spells (finished Desert Treasure) he warns you to never use them. If anything, he is the Biased Old Man... Absolutely NO wisdom at all... senile old bugger :\ Maybe he's afraid that the god for DT (forget what god it is since I never did it and I can't do it right now since i'm f2p :wall: ) will take over the world if he gets enough support... If he has no wisdom, why'd Jagex name him the wise old man? :XD: (Not really trying to flame. If it looks like a flame, my bad...)
December 5, 200619 yr Zaros will rise again. (Please let the new t trails contain zarosian armor?) Maybe include something about the dragonkin? KBD made an interesting quote about them. "Every balance has a counterbalance, lest he forget." "He" is Guthix. I have a screenie of bob claiming to be zaros, when asked about his beliefs. I also have a pic of my query to jagex about this. Would someone tell me how to crop and post pics using fedora core?As seen from A tail of two cats, Bob is the reincarnation of Robert the Strong, whom is a third age hero which fought against dragon-human things (forgot their name). Though he might have somewhat of an importance in that time, he wasn't Zaros. "300 programmers make their futile but glorious last stand against 1000000 angry players in The battle of Misthalin. They fight for honor, glory and new content sacrificing themselves so that their game may live on. This is Madness! This Is JAGEEEX!"
December 5, 200619 yr Even so, I still follow Saradomin, the coolest of all RuneScape gods!  "We will certainly not be gaining money or members with this update. Instead, we are doing this for the good of the game, which is as dear to our hearts as it is to you."- JAGEX, December 13, 2007
December 5, 200619 yr nice story this sentence is actually pretty funny: Not to mention Charos, who was Drakans right hand man, and such an expert in diplomacy, he could control the weakminded (Jedi anyone?). did you know that charos is also an important person in the greek mythology? - it's the person who was charged with bringing people acros the river acheron from the world of the living to the world of the dead.. You couldn't pass him unless you was a very skilled diplomat! First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me.
December 5, 200619 yr This... This changes everything... this story is awesome! And after reading it ( and all of it comments) i can say only one thing: I will not be a follower of a weakling that only became a god because he was a thief :notalk: From now on i will be follower of saradomin. The clock is ticking, and your time is running out, mortals.

December 6, 200619 yr I love runescape history and all about the gods. As a folower of zaros and have completed desert treasure i think that zamorak is one of the people who claw all the way up to the top of the power chain and stop on everybody to get what they want. anyway i really am looking forward to a new quest following desert treausre it would be awsome. I have a notion that zaros did not in fact "lose his footing" but was somehow triped by another worldy force... maybe another god like sardomin... just a theory. In all the whole the war was all based on jeliousy.

I do hope to become the most resident expert on these facts, as I havent completed all quests yet, nor those that are still to come (myreque part 4?) You are quite good, but u'd be better if you got the whole zammy going into exile mortal and coming back as an immortal god bit right. It was him being exiled by Sara after he killed Zaros than made him hate Sara, whihc in turn was a probably cause for him starting god wars when he returned in the third age as a god. And I am still fairly sure that Zaros died in the middle of the second age, I recall a few bits of speech at end of desert treasure about him being imprisoned since second age and he was imprisoned after his matser (zaros) fell Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
December 6, 200619 yr there is one thing wrong tho , if you talk to the wise old man he says that the mahjarrat came from freneskrae(sp?), so why would guthix fight with people who are from the same the dimension as the mahjarrat
December 6, 200619 yr Author Wise old man also says that Saradomin created the world.... Like I said, he is the biased old man... December 6, 200619 yr very nice... there is some wrong facts around, but all over quite good... but as i said there is some wrong things, the god wars did start in the third age... and Seren is not a god, she is worshipped by the elves yes, but is a crystal beeng, created by guthix... that could make her a demi-god, but not a real god...
December 6, 200619 yr GUTHIX POWNS! and always will, those who think he's not the most powerful are wrong. I forget where i saw it but it was in the knowledge base that the god wars stopped because when guthix rose they were both afraid since he has the power of nature, and inevitably, we are all affected by it GUTHIX! There's no such thing as "wireless." Just really long extension cords.
December 6, 200619 yr As seen from A tail of two cats, Bob is the reincarnation of Robert the Strong, whom is a third age hero which fought against dragon-human things (forgot their name). Though he might have somewhat of an importance in that time, he wasn't Zaros. They are called dragonkin and they were a dominant intelligent being during an age. I forgot how, but the dragonkin became corrupt or cursed by someone or something and have now become the lesser dragons we know and see today. No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.
December 6, 200619 yr look what i found in one of the god letters Saradomin, Before I say anything more, I wish for you to know that I am not a follower of you. Yet nor am I a follower of Zanorak or Guthix. But that does not mean I do not believe in the legends or religions of Runescape, it is just that I choose not to follow any of them. I have a question in reference to some of the history of Runescape. In the writings of Solus Teppleton he mentions something of a war between Gods in the third age. I wish to know a few things actually. What was the cause of this great battle? How did it end? Was it just you, Zamorak, and Guthix that participated in this battle or were there other Gods? If there are other Gods who are they and what happened to them? Whether or not you choose to answer my request, I wish to thank you. Wiyne Some things mortals are not meant to know, but do not consider the secret events surrounding the god wars to be a thing withheld from my followers through a lack of worthiness to possess such knowledge; I will not give you fuller details for your own protection. I will only answer in generalities, for words have power, and certain words when spoken are a dangerous power indeed. All of the deities currently in this realm, and some who now are no longer with us, were involved in the war. Each took a faction, whether their own, or choosing to side with one of the stronger factions, until the only factions left were mine own and those supporting the hateful Zamorak. It was as things were building to a crescendo that the ancient guthix, who had been unknown to us previously, stepped in and banished our combat from the lands. Sadly this has meant many of the issues over which we fought remain unfulfilled, but I blame not guthix for his untimely intervention. If he had not interfered in our squabbles it is likely this world would have been scarred beyond repair, and I wish not for innocence to be the casualty of our war. so guthix was previously unknown to zamarak and saradomin, and all the minor gods chose factions and were involved with the war untill guthix intervened. while looking through some other letters, i found saradomin proclaiming that Hazeel was one of those accursed creatures of the mahjarrat, cousins of the foul Zamorak, and was an evil warlord who dominated a region in the area now known as Ardougne with his unholy magics. so hazeel was a "creature" of the mahjarrat, and the mahjarrat were cousins of zamorak also saradomin says vanakka was one of his warriors but was exiled to tuturial island for a past action. he also says bob is only just a cat wow this is a gold mine Armadyl is one of my noble brethren, although we differ on minor points and his interests lie elsewhere. The last time I spoke to him, he was focussing primarily on the followers of Ikov and how best to assist them, but the theft of one of his artifacts has greatly damaged his reputation, although he is in fine physical health. Zemouregal is a creature no less evil than zamorak, who works in concert with him, yet the two are distinct. Zamorak is the only Mahjarrat who has plagued my followers with the powers of a god, the others are but mortal. Incredibly evil, long lived and powerful mortals perhaps, but mortal none the less. check out my achievments
December 6, 200619 yr Author snip The Mahjaratt were a league of incredibly powerfull warlords each with their own lands. Do not forget that brothers and cousins can often be a mis-used term, and rarely indicates an actual relative. Those lands combined formed the empire that was Zaros' and later Zamoraks. It stretched across Morytania, Wilderness, Misthalin, Asgarnia, large parts of Khandarin, as well as the Kharidian desert. Ofcourse, a massive shift of power as the one between Zaros and Zamorak causes people to take sides, and the Mahjaratt were not a united front on this one. It is by these circumstances and the brief abscence of Zamorak that Saradomin had the opportunity to re-conquer the lands owned by the Mahjaratt who were now also fighting eachother. Zemouregal is one of the Mahjaratt. The Oracle you meet the first time in Dragon Slayer is also one. December 7, 200619 yr Author Hehe are you sure Dessous was loyal to Zaros? In desert treasure he seemed an awful lot like a warrior of Zamorak... I'm quite sure. Malak wants you to kill him (the vampire in Canifis bar), and he was a Zamorakian who imprisoned the SON of Zaros (Azzenadra). December 7, 200619 yr First and fore most, I have to congratulate you on the time spent and researching this =D> Secondly, The fact that Guthix could change the known world that he created (Therefore has the power to destroy/renew), kind of scares me. At any point, Jagex could have Guthix get tired of us humans, who have destroyed the known world by killing each other and causing wars. But even with this said, I stand loyaly by the side of Zammy. I believe that Zammy could stop Guthix (And maybe even take over the world himself). Saradomin I believe could do the same thing, but it depends with loyalty. I put a poll on the RuneScape forums, a while back, stating people to vote for their God. Results: Zammy- 39% Sara- 34% Guthix- 23% Athiest- 4% Votes: 500+ (Stopped counting after 500. I just stuck the numbers into calc.) (This is not everyone in the game, mind you.) These results show that Zammy, of all Gods, has the most followers. Followers are crucial to Leaders/Gods. Like if Japan had 45 people fight for their country, and China had 45,000 to fight for their country against Japan, who would win? If Guthix were to pull something, it would HAVE to be with more followers, or if everyone was following under Zammy. Which it looks to the polls that people are more fond of the God of War and Death. The more people following under a God, could mean devistation (Even though I like Zammy). Something is bound to happen, and I am just wondering what. If Zammy, maybe even Sara, gets more of the population to follow under their durisdiction, it could mean the fight for RuneScape. Just my 2 cents. I <3 Gears of War 2. Add me on Xbox Live and mention you are from Tif :D
December 7, 200619 yr Personally i think you have too much time on your hands if you enjoy researching the history of an online game.... I Quit. You should too.
December 7, 200619 yr Author fgfuyfyuiuy0: Asking 500 people who they worship and call that accurate, while 6 million people play the game (of which approx 10% is member) is just wrong... A lot of people worship Saradomin on f2p. And the followers of Saradomin and Zamorak may outnumber that of Guthix, The gods themselves cannot interfere because Guthix wants it so, so the first god TO interfere would be Guthix... Chubbysanta: I picked up this information while doing quests, as well as reading some letters and tlaking to NPCs ingame. It's still some sort of roleplay game... I'm guessing you're a pixel-lover who goes more for the gp then the fun? December 7, 200619 yr Author Tbh, as powerfull as Guthix is, his actual influence is that of a lazy oblivious person. His goals are to get rid of evil, but not all of it, and he doesnt wanna be a goody-2-shoes either... So far his balance-counter balance attitude towards the world he created, has left it open to many interpretations, and one could only very rarely be completely anti-guthix...
