1. Capes of Achievement-They give a sense of accomplishment and award players for their dedication, that ppreviously on con and smithing provided.

2. Construction-The awaited construction skill was a real hit, draining money and lettig players do some real great things, and the eventual addition of the costume room and the not so anticipated (but i am!) addition with the christmas update.

3. Pyramid Plunder-Theiving was kinda...sad, only a couple things to do and really only one way to efficiently raise levels.

I updated the polls. Remember, I'm human despite calls to the contrary, so my counting may be off. Feel free to correct me.

In addition, if any of the nominees are from a previous year (and not indicated), tell me and I'll zero the votes. It'll stay on the list, just not get counted in the standings.

2. Game engine upgrade- With this, the game really became Runescape 2.1, but gave us many things that most don't notice.

3. Area Sounds-Fun to here the threat of Ancient Mages before you stumble upon them, and the sounds around you break up the boring silence.

2. Hunting - another new fun skill

1)Recipe for Disaster. Barrows gloves are AMAZING. I never take mine off no matter which combat skill I'm using :D

2)Skill Capes, gave everyone (including me, looking for 99 theiving now \:D/) something to shoot for.

3)Hunting, a fun, relaxing skill, and salamanders and chinchompas (cute furry grenade FTW =D>) were a nice update.

There's my input. Now bump RFD to best update of the year place, please.

There's cake through here, apparently.

In no particular order :

Construction - although high cost it has a lot of benefits like an altar, ability to make tele tablets, storage for various items (thus freeing up bank space) etc.

New ways of getting around - esp Fairy Rings, but eagles and balloons can be useful at times

Increasing Bank Space - although with the new treasure trail clues we need even more bank space (or perhaps the ability to store more in our own houses)
