should 99 cooking/fletching deserve respect?

lets face it, theyre the most common capes out there, most people would walk by a 99 fletcher\cook without bothering to ask the emote. im going for 99 fletching right now to trim my wcing cape. im just asking if its worth the respect or achievement.

In my personal opinion, I think achieving any sort of skillcape is worth respect. I respect the high-and-mighty achievers anyway.

Well if it takes you to work it to 99 I would clap and smile.. then walk away of course, but no, not everyone thinks so.

So.. in other words.. this was a long and pointlessly boring way to say; don't ask me.

true they are the most common, but that still doesn't mean they don't deserve respect.

I mean it still does several days - months to get the full 13mil xp even if you buy all the supplies and even to do that is pretty good going as your probably at looking at the 12m - 20m to buy the skill, unless tis already really high

Just because something is more common doesn't mean it doesn't deserve respect

I mean if you were a conservationist would you give an animal/habitat any less respect just because it didn't have an endangered status?

Well, usually everywhere I go people ask complement me saying 'Nice Cape', but sometimes people ask rather unceremoniously to 'Do the emote plz'. But I think respect for a cape and asking for an emote to be done are two different things.

Any 99 cape is worth a respect and applause for their patience and hard work.

Well said. Maybe some capes deserve more respect, as they're harder to get and many people have them, but every 99 skill deserves respect.

yes of course it's a 99 it costs money to get (well cooking at least) they spent months getting it why not? i mean it doesn't deserver as much respect as some other skill capes like combat ones or herblore etc but it still deserves respect.

I'm going to have to be the first to disagree. LoL they deserve some respect , but if i saw one i wouldn't stop and admire. There easy skills to get up. Although mine aren't that high so i can't speak.

I might go get 1 to prove it lol.

it takes 76k tew longs to get 99 from 70... and 52k sharks from 80.....

so no matter what u say it still is long and boring for them and the only satisfaction is 99. 76k yew longs cut and strung would take 100 hours constant. and 52k sharks would take 50 hours... not as long but even more boring and losing money.

U MUST also remember that they have to cook like 18k lobs to get 80 so another 15 hours..

and a fletcher must cut 16k willow long to get 70.... taking 16 hours

OVERALL -- 99 fletch 116 hours -- for 13.034m exp

-- 99 cooking 65 hours -- for 13.034m exp

ON the other hand a skill like slayer is going to take (with an average of 15k an hour) 888 hours... during this period u would also recive 52 million combat exp and 17.3 millions hp exp.... so in 888 hours u would achive 82 millions exp and 3 combat 99s attk str def with spare exp and 99 slayer.... u would have 13m exp left over wich could mean 99 range or just more attk str n def exp.

SO 888 hours of slayer wich is 444 days at an average of 2 hours a day... would get u

99 attk

99 str

99 def

99hp

99slayer

13m left over for another combat skill.

now u take 888 and divide it by 5 = 177.6 hours per 99.

so even thou 99 slayer takes over 400 hours u recive other 99s along the way this averages out at 88.8 hours a 99 with 13m left over....

FLETCHING --116 hours

COOKING -- 65 hours

ATTK -- -- 177.6 hours

STR -- 177.6 hours

DEF -- 177.6 hours

HP -- :s

SLAYER -- 888 hours

RC --- just from crafting 3k nats an hour... 481 hours ...

THIS DOES NOT INCLUED MONEY EATING SKILLS LIKE CONSTRUCTION AND PRAYER....... THE ONES I CHOOSE WERE TIME REALATED...BUT JUST TO LET U KNOW

PRAYER -- 88.4 mill with guilded altar + 52 hours (1k bones an hours :s ..not sure)

CONSTRUCTION -- 120m + 144 hours

YES fletching and cooking are easyer skills but still deserve respect ................ just not as much as rc ::' and construction :XD:

IM 97/99 COOKING FTW! <3:

For me, it depends. Should someone with 99 fletching be respected more than someone without it (like me). Almost certainly. Given the choice between a person with 99 cooking and 99 prayer, or 99 slayer, who would I repsect more? The one with prayer or slayer. Any 99 is deserving of respect, but some 99s get and deserve more than others.

Just had another thought. Possibly the manner in which you gained your 99 is also important. If you bought all the equipment necessary, then that is almost cheating compared to someone who mined/cut/farmed all the stuff they needed. I would certainly have more respect for someone with 99 cooking if it was accompanied by a very high fishing level, because they'd fished everything they cooked.

Its not cheating, if you have enough money to buy your way to a 99 rather than to spend weeks upon end training, which would you rather choose?

I hate when people say cooking isnt a respectible 99. First of all it took me 65k lobs from 70-94, and then 20k shark 94-99. And how many other kinds a food to get to 70. It took me a month and a half. As do most 99' take month or 2. So dont say 99 cook isnt worth it, its worth every moment :)

Of COURSE they deserve respect. All achievements (not only in just 99s, but even things like getting CW armor and such) deserve respect.

If you take the time to train it to 99, and someone who does NOT have 99 comes and tells you that it's just an easy 99 and everyone has it, just reply, "Well if everyone has it, why don't you?"

Ignorance in people is growing, today. Don't take it seriously if someone tells you it's not something to brag about. Sure...99 Fletching/Cooking/Firemaking/Theiving/Hunting may not be the hardest skills to get to 99...it's a lot better than MOST people in RS have. THAT is something to boast about.

Good luck on your 99 Fletching. You'll get it. ;)
