ive read so many responses i dont know what this is anymore, but i support it any way!

Support. Love this idea. F2P Mages are missing out on these robes, we need them. Great idea and good designs. I especially like the Dark Wizard Robes.

mages already dominate the low/medium levels in wild, so too big of an update will be unfair. but i do support as long as it doesn't make mages too much stronger. 8-)

 

 

 

lvl 59 strength max hit without bonuses = 12

 

lvl 59 range max hit without bonuses = 10

 

lvl 59 mage max hit without bonuses = 16

i personally think if f2p gets a new spell like a wave then there would be no need for more big updates for a long time as far as f2p goes. i got to 70 mage in f2p thinking you could hit harder with higher mage lvl, but of course lvl 59 mages hit as hard as 99 mages. :( these new armors could probably provide more protection if they had a def lvl requirement?

To add a bit to my previous idea:

 

Maybe if Jagex does introduce new f2p mage robes, they should be dropped by new lvl 30 wizards who can be found near Malingus Mortifier. Each one will drop regular bones, a piece of the new mage set, and random runes. With the mage piece, 1 would drop every time, but not the same piece. Then to wear them, you would have to take them to the head wizard in the Wizzy Tower, who then blesses/enchants them, but he only blesses/enchants the body if you have completed the Dragon Slayer quest.

my problem with this is you fail to explain why you deserve this, p2pers making "alot" of gp on robe and rune sales would fail to compel jagex to do this.

 

now that ive said that here is my opinion, personally i have no problem with f2p getting new robes or blue mystic (not gold or black) being released into f2p. But i dont think that high lvl spells should be released into f2p, as A its a members feature and B it would vastly change F2p pking dynamics :shame:

While it is true you could use A new set of mage armour, Mystic is far too awsome for f2pers. You have a TON of spells, so please do not complain about that. Perhaps dark wizzy robes are a good idea, but they should not give too good stat bonuses.

While i support both sides of the argument i belive that he has a point although F2P is basically a trial.

I do not think this update is necessary. Why? Magic in f2p seems to work fine even when people have a negative magic bonus. You always see pures with blue mage robe top and hat on with green d hide chaps and vambraces on, with usually a fire staff in their hands. I see them successfully bind, and hit with spells all the time.

I am f2p, yet I still think that this idea is asking too much. I like the idea about the new robes, but NOT about making mystic/splitbark/waves f2p. That's just unreasonable. So no, I don't support. If you put my name, which I ask you to not do, it's saying I pretty much support the whole idea, which I don't. I only support the new robes part :D. Or, you can put me as "One_Time (Supports only the part of new robes)

If you really want new mage robes then become p2p, it'll be easier, and as for why p2p gets everythign new its because as the name suggests: Pay to Play, so obviously they get it and not f2p as its only fair that the people who are paying their equipment and such get a bonus....
