January 12, 200719 yr I don't find hockey intresting at all when its an American sport, I find it lame and I'm serious. Soccer is an "ok" sport to me but I don't play it no more. I'm more into football and basketball I'm just curious to ask you this, don't scream at me. I'm just wondering, what's different between NHL in Canada and NHL in America? whose better? ^Sir Jem 05-The Bunny Drinking Blog?^ Click it!

There's Canadian players that play for the Avalanche or the Panthers for that matter. in fact, first guy listed under Panthers roster: Gregory Campbell - London, Ontario 4/8 of their centers are From Canada. And they play hockey in Florida!! (The other 4 are from Czechoslovakia and Finland if you were wondering)
January 12, 200719 yr cause baseball and football (american football) owns too hard, and probably because soccer... uhh... i have absolutely no idea :-k maybe cause soccer makes you run around alot and americans are fat and lazy? lol j|k \
January 12, 200719 yr I'm just curious to ask you this, don't scream at me. I'm just wondering, what's different between NHL in Canada and NHL in America? No difference, it's the same league. Just like in the MLB the Toronto Blue Jays are based on Canada but it's in the same league as every other American team.
January 12, 200719 yr We're really just idiots, great sport but if you think about it... we love "American Football" if "American Football" wasn't as popular we prob would watch it... that or lacrosse. :shame: only interested about skirts? now you can see bottomless barrow brothers! :ohnoes:
January 12, 200719 yr Well.. For one thing, American soccer just isn't as dominant as American sports are over the rest of the world. Second, there is little to no scoring in a match. Third, its roots aren't American, so we aren't quite as into it as we are into homegrown sports like baseball, basketball, and American football. EDIT: OH! The constant falling over then getting right back up thing gets really old, really fast. The code in my sig should say 1032 not 0132.

The ice in Canada is REAL ice! They put water in an it freezes. The ice here is frozen by huge machines. :P "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
January 12, 200719 yr Because we have real sports? I played soccer for 11 years, it helped me move on to kick in college for a football team. Honest tho, soccer is the most boring sport to watch. C'mon... you watch 10 guys (not includin the goalie) run around for two 45 minute halfs and score maybe 3 goals? Sounds like a bad investment of time to me - Only character in Runescape History maxed out in RSC and RS2
January 12, 200719 yr I was wondering why americans dont find football (soccer) interesting. I'm american myself and i find it very boring also (not playing it, i love playing it, but watching it). I'm under the impression that it is very popular in europe, but why isnt it popular here? I'm American and I love soccer. But that is not popular, so people don't like me.

January 12, 200719 yr Beckham just signed a ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã128m pound, 5 year deal with the La Galaxy - Thats ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã500k a year, nearly 3.5x more than the highest paid player in the world  I sure hope i become an American footballer. \\ You absolutely suck at math. Hes getting 128 million pounds for 5 years a work and is only getting 500k a year? In no way do those number work together The world would be a whole lot better if little green men in UFO's came down to earth to abduct rednecks.

January 12, 200719 yr Maybe because they're not so good at it. Football is my favorite sport. And it's so exciting to watch! :D Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
January 12, 200719 yr Because the rest of the world have been brain-washed! Soccer only just caught on in Aus after the World Cup appearance, and still doesn't even come close to rivaling our biggest sports of Cricket, AFL and Rugby League. In my own opinion it is pretty boring watching a 90 minute match where only a few goals are scored if any at all. There's better sports out there than that, the world just hasn't caught on yet. :P
Sounds like a bad investment of time to me You have missed the whole point of the sport. Just as I miss the whole point of American Football and baseball. They just make no sense to me. What's odd though is that you played soccer for 11 years and didn't get the point. I always thoguht it was because americans didn't play it they didn't understand it, and that in certain groups who did play it, it was appreciated, like it is in europe. But I see I was wrong. It's probably more about tradition. My dad played in the second highest division of sweden, his cousin in the highest, every kid in their village played it, and it was almost the same in my old hometown. We always played in on schoolbreaks and in PE, so that could be why, we're just growing up with it more positively, and learn to appreciate the nice plays. But that's just me, likeing hte nice plays, most people probably watch it because everyone else does, to join the community side of things, "to be part of something greater". Worthless IMO, but many people do look for that I think. (Btw, I'm 20 now, played soccer for 16 years and have been getting payed for the past 3 years. Maybe I'll make it pro some day)
January 12, 200719 yr I was always told by my PE teacher is that Americans dont like football (soccer) because its a low scoring game. Americans dont like 0-0 draws or 1-0 wins, they want 35-28 scoring matches and football just cant do that. January 12, 200719 yr Pfft I don't like soccer anymore and i'm english. Used to love it though, but just lost interest really. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
January 12, 200719 yr Ive never been into football really. I dont mind watching live matches and ive been to a few corporate events and seen teams like Liverpool play but I hate watcing it on TV. I especially hate Match of the Day because its like watching the game all over again even though you know the score and whats going to happen. boring boring boring. -.- Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. January 12, 200719 yr "I was wondering why americans dont find football (soccer) interesting." Because it sucks, its just kicking a ball across a field. Woop-de-doo(!) if they want people to like football, make it fun, like add a guy who gets hit in the groin by the ball every 3 seconds, that should help 666~Dale~666-Join The Dark Army Of Evil!Which FF character are you?
January 12, 200719 yr i hope this whole beckham thing does nothing to football in the US, they should remaina fringe national side for the sake of world football. If the US did become a power in world football then i can see rules being changed and clubs being changed to franchises (has already happend to Wimbledon/MK Dons). www.PETAkillsanimals.com
January 12, 200719 yr Most people I know have nver heard of Beckham, they just know it's the title of a B-rated soccer chick flick. It's kind of weird really, most american kids play soccer when they're really young in little leagues (I did, all my brothers, sisters, and friends did). But after youre 9 or 10 years old it's just boring, nobody likes running for 45 minutes straight (and you guys count up, that makes no sense). American football is imo a much, much better sport.
