A new use for excalibur

For many people, the sword excalibur was used in the quests merlin's crystal and holy grail but after the quest was unfortunately chucked away to the corners of their bank.

I just discovered a new nice usage of excalibur's special attack: +10% defence with no other stat penalties, this works well for abyss rcers i have to say, most of the rcers does not use any special attack (unless you bring dds for self protection) and the special attack bar is left unused. However if you actually utilise that bar for the excalibur special, you get an nice defence bonus against abbysal monsters strong attacks and hence you use less food after getting hit less with 10% higher defence \'

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

Wow great tip, I'm definatly going to use this. Taking two seconds to bank, spec, and bank is worth it I think. And anyway you can take it out in the process of filling your pouches. Withdraw excalibur, withdraw all pure essence, click x, click excalibur then on three smaller pouches, then spec, click your pickaxe again, bank, put it away, get out more ess, fill up giant pouch, get more ess, then go. Not really that much more than what I was already doing.

You have to withdraw essence from the bank right? So why not use 2 seconds and give yourself a bit extra defence, You don't even have to do it every run, just every couple of runs. Excalibur requires no money besides doing the initial quest, where eating a shark can cost you 1k.

For a rough idea of when your special attack is full again, i checked after my defence has dropped down by 6 lvls and it's definitely full. It may already be full at 5 lvls down. I only had to spec once for like every 5 trips or so.

using the bank to get the sword takes about 10 seconds. Unless your doing millions of ess, 10 seconds is not a lot.

tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :(
But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities.
That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.
