As you may know, I've been living at the green dragons lately.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Before Friday, the place was always packed, every hour, every day, every world. You might have noticed if you ever go up there. There's at least five people there on every world. Sometimes as many as 10.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And boom. All of a sudden, its vacant. And its a weekend, too. There is a drastic emptiness there. I rarely see anyone there at all now. I've been completely alone up there all weekend. Its actually a little spooky.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I believe there has been a massive banning for autoers. Anyone concur? Anyone hear anything? Any friends get banned for autoing?

Well, I can say that I have devoted about 3k bloods this weekend to trying and pushing the autoers away. Was quite fun actually :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I do hope Jagex has done something about this, because it is really hurting the hide economy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hopefully we will see a post on the official page about a massive banning this week.

Becuase i was doing several clues this weekend and that didnt quite seem to be the case for myself in world 99...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then again it did seem less crowded however, but not vacant as you put it yourself.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

(had to have been more vancant then normal becuase i was pked doing a clue out there most likely due to lack of autoers for someone there to kill)

oh and P.S i remeber a facts thread on barrows and what monster gets what rune and stuff, what gets minds? im running low :ohnoes:

When I was doing a clue, I decided to stop by the green drags to harass some autoers, but there were none to be found.

i think u just got lucky...

1) Minds at barrows: A low kill count will give you less valuable runes as drops. I don't really feel like going into the drop formula for Barrows again, but there isn't a particular monster that drops a particular item. Kill six brothers and open, and you'll get more mind drops than blood drops from barrows.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2) Just got lucky: No, I was there for too long to just be lucky. There is a very significant drop in dragon hunters, and the ones that are there talk. Its still a popular place for players, but the autoers were no where to be found. Compared to flooded? Huge difference.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3) More pkers looking: I noticed that pkers were frustrated looking for someone to kill there. Alot of world hopping for them. And alot of comments generally they weren't finding anyone.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4) Hurting the economy. Autoers were actually good for me, because I'm BUYING bones, and crafting and alching the hides. The lower the prices the better. lol. But I'd rather have a couple dragon spawns all to myself and have the bone prices go up a little, rather than fighting for one spawn and the bone prices fall a little.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I seriously believe there was a banning. Maybe it was just the weekend. I'll see more during the week.

Well sometime on thursday at 9-10pm eastern, the login servers were down, and alot of the autoing worlds went offline.

Jagex might have done something with their scripts, stopping the scripts of the autoers from working.

Curses. This means d bones will go up to maybe 3/5ths of what they should be worth.

That said, the "dollars-to-donuts" wager is really no longer a dramatic one, as donut prices I'm sure are approaching a dollar in most places.

Hopefully there was. It'd be great, except I had so much fun ice bursting those nubs, I'd like em back just so I can make em go away myself :thumbsup:

maybe... I'd think Jagex would announce it though, you know, the prevent further attempts at it.

Bones may go up a little, but not more than 100-200. Pest control was the main reason they dropped in the first place.

well, that's good and bad for crafters..the thing about green dragon autoers is when they get banned, it's gonna take a bit for them to come back up there since you need a lot more stuff to kill them then to chop wood.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There isn't much of a change in green d hide prices, it's hanging steady at about 1.55k-1.6k...But if there's no people there, i guess that's proof enough. Just watch it throughout the days i guess and see what happens.

i believe andrew said they ban 8k accounts a week (roughly) for autoing, and it would have made news in rsc and all they up until like 1 year ago, but like they said almost word for word its just such a regular process they feel no need to tell the general public.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

personally if they said how many accounts they banned last year, they might [bleep]e the prices of items again like the 15k mass ban

the price of green d hide has rissen from a low of 1.55kea to 1.65kea as of last night 2/18/07

I bought rougly 5.5k dragon bones for 1.55k each a few weeks back, I went to world 2 last night to buy some more for 80 prayer, they're as high as 1.6-1.7k each now. So yes, something has happened to these autoers, i'm sure we all know it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The real question is, where will they strike next? :-k
