  1. You can find the answers to all of those questions on the GE or manual. As far as the last question goes, you should look on the PvM section of the official forums.
  2. I'm not 50 yet, but I would prefer spear/platebody. Spear is great because it can use all styles, and spears just have really good stats in general down there. I have seen some of the top players however using primal kiteshield with rapier/longsword/warhammer, since no one has really seen a primal spear, and the primal kiteshield seems to not be too rare. To people above somewhere: Mage damage boosts do not stack additively like that.

  5. Sort of. I didn't really have much motivation to do anything outside of dungeoneering... so now that it is here, I have a new skill to work on, and new items to aim for that will let me have more fun in the rest of the game. I also really do enjoy the skill so far, which is good.
  6. The speed I quoted came from a youtube video of one of the top players. "This is large floor 35 with a 4 man team. The floor took about an hour and 50 minutes to complete but we've done floors of this size in an hour and 15 minutes before. It's a lot of luck on where keys and altars are. I'd say the average xp is 30-35k xp an hour because you've got to waste a lot of time clearing lower floors to get prestige." He got 48k exp for the dungeon.
  7. Apparently they're getting about 30-35k exp/hour now. Comparable to slayer really, and will get faster with any update to it.
  8. I got my promethium spear as a drop from a forgotten warrior - it dropped what it was wearing.
  9. Woooooooooooo got a promethium spear drop from a forgotten warrior! Finally I can stop running around with a katagon rapier... The spear owns - was hitting like 550 on the boss of that dungeon.
  10. Levelling a bit faster now :) Don't have much time to play, but I got from 11-17 getting like 3 levels per 2 dungeons. I should try to find someone willing to help me smith a promethium weapon when I get a bit higher though.
  11. Yeah. Only activating on damage over 200 is a pretty huge drawback. They have nice stats, but the damage soaking effect would rarely activate in most cases. It would be good in pvp, but they aren't something you'd likely want to risk in dangerous pvp. Even boss monsters tend not to hit 200+ very frequently if you pray correctly. They all seem to be useful only situationally, and would be more useful if you had all of them which is why I would much rather have a few weapons first. What do you guys think about the melee weapons: rapier, longsword, or maul? Definitely leaning towards the longsword at the moment. Rapier is probably the best training weapon in the game, but I don't need to train anymore. Maul would be kind fun, but useless since 2 handed and slow. Longsword seems like it would work best at bosses (basically a vesta longsword with slightly better stats).
  12. I feel like I would have to still choose the chaotic shield. It depends what you do, of course, but magic defence is still only important in a few situations. How do you guys think the chaotic (or any of those shields for that matter) would compare to divine? Since I have divine, my first priority once I am able to purchase chaotic items will be a weapon. Probably longsword or rapier; not sure. My second item (and one that seems to be overlooked) will be the chaotic crossbow. A crossbow better than rune would be amazing. Just imagine it at armadyl or something...
  13. Like I said, vesta longsword being halved is all but proved. I tested it myself.
  14. Damage is definitely halved on non spears. I tried soloing with a corrupt vesta long and never hit over low 20's. Went back with zamorakian spear and was able to hit high 30's (difference in strength bonus). Too bad, cause I was able to red-bar corp with vesta long soloing. Probably could kill like twice per trip solo if it did full damage.
  15. I'd bring verac helm, the extra melee and range defence helps a lot. Might mean you're risking armadyl legs though. I also personally prefer to have a zammy book as my god item for killcount, and wear barrows gloves for extra defence and stuff. Just make sure that you don't get hit by his melee attacks ever if you can avoid it. This means either running under to eat, or drinking a dose of brew and then quickly attacking again before he melees.
  16. I find that ranging is superior to melee unless you have super antifires/zamorakian spear
  17. Pokemon definitely becomes cool again in University. Pretty much all of the guys I know like it.
  18. Ridiculous. Abstinence-only programs fail to properly educate about contraception methods. I agree that abstinence should be portrayed as the best choice, but the majority of the curriculum should focus on contraception and other important health/safety/pregnancy issues.
  19. That would be fine if higher level items did exist, but since bandos is the current high end armour degrading it would simply cause everyone to have the same (best) gear - frustrating for those with higher levels and stats. It would also ruin a popular money making method (killing bosses).
  20. Also need to remember that instancing bosses would MASSIVELY increase the amount of rare drops coming into the game, and degrade prices of high-end items. That said, something needs to be done.
  21. I definitely have hit a 60 in kuradal's dungeon, with no tassets.
  22. Really though, this update does have a pretty big negative effect on pvp combat... you essentially take extra damage on every hit you take that would previously have been rounded down.
  23. You get somewhere between 5 and 6 exp per damage on boss monsters.
  24. Because it's on controlled... Spears have controlled and defensive modes.
