  1. The ratings are individual for each day, and not just the day you collect. For example: Situation A Day 1 - 100% Day 2 - 99% Day 3 - 98% Day 4 - Collect Situation B Day 1 - 100% Day 2 - 100% Day 3 - 100% Day 4 - Collect Situation B would yield a few more resources (although not by much). So yes, its the % on a daily basis and not just the % you have before you collect. If you plan to leave things in there a long time, it would be good to go up, every few days, or even every day to make sure the kingdom % stays up.
  2. @ Deviloch http://www.tip.it/runescape/constructio ... asure+room No, tipit guide says Magic. Its 2 under mahogany. You do realize a "Chest" is in the treasure room, and a "Prize Chest" is in the games room. The "prize chest" has a maxium of mahogany, but the "chest" in the treasure room goes up to magic. Two different chests. You proly just misunderstood which one they were talking about.
  3. ^ Mahogany is not the higest. And the magic holds 3k. They were updated with the trading limits as well to keep RWT's out.
  4. Don't underestimate the lazyness of the super rich GWD'ers. People will still buy them from the GE, just not at the rate they used to. And once they do drop in price, and reach a certain point, people will start to say, "why waste an hour mining when I can spend 200k and buy all the granite I need for my levels". Just give it some time and things will even out.
  5. You have to remember, Runescape is a game, not a middle aged fantasy realm where you can live an alternate life. Unforunatly some people take it as such, when you shouldnt. Runescape should be no more believeable than Roller Coaster Tycoon, or Halo, or Monopoly. Remember, Jagex has made it clear this game is not geared to a particular audience. It is not geared towards 18+, nor is it geared to only 18-. The updates they put in may not necessarly be pointed to your age group, or particular enjoyment, but thats just it. Jagex tries to create an update for at least every group of people playing. People often forget that, and complain about why every week isnt to their "age group". People need to understand Jagex is a company and likes to diversify thier content as much as possible. Aside, I dont think theres a 4th wall to break here as your not meant to be so involved in a game it becomes your real world. Jagex are simply adding content that is designed to make things more intresting to some of its different age groups. Tell me, if there had been elf babies, and a story of where the elves came from, inside each of these shooting stars, would you have still complained? OT: I find the penguins to be much more trouble than they are worth, but the star shooting is a very fun group activity. Everyone gets xp and money, and its a fun sort of competition where everyone wins.
  6. Yes they can. Last I checked this game was made by Jagex. They can pretty much make any item any price they want and make it so people have to pay that price. This is not a democracy or a real life market, its a game. Therefore its not up to the people to set prices on how much things are, its up to Jagex. Now wether you personaly choose to accept Jagex's prices is up to you, but that is not saying that YOU set the prices. YOU simply accept or dont accept the prices JAGEX sets. Jagex has a red ball. You can tell me its blue, yellow, white or its green. But that dosent change the fact.. its still a red ball. In most cases no, however there are groups of merchants (Like A C I D Y's merchant clan) that can and have changed the market to their favor on certain items. And those who do buy those masks often get them from GE and then junk trade them for TONS of profit. (see below on what I mean by junk trade profit) Junk now is actually easily accessable and very profitable, you just have to have a means to trade with it. A common practice now is to make summons, and turn them into summon scrolls. Collecting these scolls as junk, once traded you make ALL of your money back + ~20-30% PROFIT, in addition to all the summon xp you gained. It turns out junk trading like that is VERY profitable, which is why people do it. Let me give you a scenario: Person A gets a Mask on GE from Person B for 500k. Person A then takes the opertunity to spend 10M on summon. Person A then spends then 10M making all his/her summons into scrolls, and then Junk trades the scrolls and the mask for 13.5M. Person A effectivly makes about 3M profit and tons of Summon xp off person B, for almost no work at all (other than gathering charms). (Editors Notes: Some masks are 50m+ correct? If that is true, you could buy 4 masks, and get 200m worth of summon supplies. Not including getting charms, you could essentially get 99 summon not only for free but making about 60M during the process using this junk trade method. For JUST 4 MASKS. I have nothing against anyone who does this method, but I think it needs to be corrected.) As for people who agree to pay the 50m+, its because since almost everyone is using the junk trade method, thats what people have to abide by. You can get lucky if you leave a request in GE for a mask, but you most likley wont get it, simply because people hold onto them to do what was described above. Why would you sell a mask for 500k when you could make millions and get tons of summon xp for it too? It rips people off, adding a skill's XP onto the cost to get an item. The issue here is, junk is making items exclusivly "junk trade only", which is very very bad, as it allows people to charge MASSIVE ammounts of money for an item that shouldnt be that much. Basically the GE was designed for this not to happen, but people found a way around it, and now GE messes things up since thats not how it was designed to function. Its like using a fising pole for fishing, and then a bunch of people come and divert the steam around your lake. Eventually the lake will dry up. Not gunna catch many fish with no water. And until stuff are sold/bought through GE, GE prices cant change. You say well why dont they just change the GE price? The problem is, how do they know what the "traded price" really is. Jagex dosent consider Junk Trading in its prices, which is why the GE prices never change. As I said before, Jagex now sets the prices in this game. Its just up to individuals if they accept the price Jagex sets or not. What Jagex really needs to do is 1 of 2 things. 1) Make a shard/scroll exchange like there is for pouches. 60% back for scrolls. This would get rid of almost all the overpriced Summon Scrolls. 2) Limit free trades to the ammout of 30k, and everything else over 30k must be traded through GE. The main issue im saying here is, As long as items are in the "junk trade" loop, prices on GE will not adjust, as few items are being traded through GE. The more and more items that get "junk traded" the worse the situation will become. At the expense of making profit for ourselves, we are digging our own graves.
  7. I know alot of you will disagree with me, however I feel that players should be limited to GE and GE alone to trade. Let me explain what I mean... Players should only be allowed to buy/sell items by use of the G.E. 1) This would make item prices much more accurate on the GE market. 2) This would remove all forms of junk trading. Players to Player trade should be removed completly. 1) While people still like to give "free gifts" an option could stay to let you give (or recieve) up to 30k in items (depending on QP). But you could not give or recieve 30k at the same time, therefor elimination all Junk trades. A system like this would be much better I think as it keeps prices much more accurate and eliminates any junk trades in the game, giving all items the value the game sets the price as, and not the value players feel they want to charge for an item. All in all, it would be much more fair for everyone as people would be foced to use the GE to trade, meaning merchanters cant take advantage of players who may not know how much their items are worth.
  8. Proly not, as we also have this: "Add all this to a healthy schedule of quests (featuring Arrav and the sequel to Spirit of Summer), holiday events and some unique puzzle content... and the rest of '08 has something for almost everyone." Most likley this will be involved with the sequal to the Arrav quest and not the big giant quest, but I could be wrong.
  9. Sounds to me like he is using an already known method. Quite simple really, as long as you have an AGS/SGS. 1) Kill Gargs For blue charms (Yes they drop a fair number of them/hr) 2) Make pouches and turn all familiars into scrolls. 3) Junk Trade Scrolls for lending out AGS/SGS for 24 hours making millions per day. (Some ppl pay as much as 500k an hour for AGS). 4) You now get back the money you spent + 30% profit from scrolls, and throw in a few granite mauls. You got a nice 100m profit from 99 summon using blue charms which greatly reduces the time to level, as they give high xp. 5) You hope others dont find out about it so they copy the idea and Jagex finds out. Oh to late :D
  10. No. The rune c'bow is better for everything. Period. Not everything. I willl say a Crystal Bow is better for hybrids at DK, as you can wear a skill cape/fire cape instead of a ranger backpack. For general training the rune c'bow is the best hands down, but Crystal Bow still has a small few uses over the c'bow.
  11. It would be doubtful that they would disable teleports in PvP worlds, as the world is not just for PvP combat. More likley, they would make it so that if you are engaged in PvP combat, and attack someone (or retaliate) your teleports would be disabled until you are out of combat. That way skillers could teleport to saftey as long as they dont auto retaliate, and PvP players dont have to worry about "tele noobs" as neither player engaging in combat can teleport until both players stop fighting.
  12. Haha. I love when people post things like this. It goes to show 70% of the people still dont understand why Jagex went to remove RWT. No its not because Jagex "hates" RWT, or that Jagex got mad because they though RWT was "taking" over the game. In fact, other than adding randoms to make sure bots didnt take over the world of RuneScape, Jagex did very little to stop RWT until they had to. When RWT started to use Fake Credit Cards to buy members for RuneScape, then Jagex had a major issue. If they had not taken care of the problem, eventually the entire company would of gone bankrupt being overwhelmed with all the false data, not to mention could be in serious legal trouble. So NO they didnt change the game because they thought RuneScape shouldnt have RWT, they changed it because if they didnt, there would be no RuneScape here today as we speak. And OT: I think we should all wait until the update comes out before saying that RWT could take advantage of it. I'm guessing since they have had alot of time to plan the update they would consider most of the possible options.
  13. Maybe because we are pointing out a specific issue that you need to understand. And I already explained a few posts up how people could bypass your "fool-proof" plan. Incause you dont want to re-read them, Ill repost. 1) Person A talks to person B ingame. Person A invites to pay for person B's members once they get to know eachother online. Now person B is considered an 18+ since she used person A's credit information. A can easily ask for personal infomation now without any restriction, and if he is a stalker, can get all the information he needs. 2) Not all parents care about their kids. This is a sad but true rising problem. A kid can easily say, mommy can you pay 5$ a month for this game? Most parents would say yes, or at least not do much research on the game. They are automatically then given access to an 18+ world. There is no 100% fool proof way to keep 18- out, it would be impossible. You cant tell who's playing on the computer screen no matter what you do. Its simply impossible. 1) Explain to me how a community who now has the option to swear is a better community than one that can only say ****? If you want the community to be more "decent" you shouldnt losen the filter at all. Curse words are profanity. Profanity has therefore always been used to describe a word, expression, gesture, or other social behavior which is socially constructed or interpreted as insulting, rude and vulgar, or desecrating or showing disrespect as measured by the religious elite 2) Im over 20, Im not willing to say by how much, and I can tell you adults are just as immature, sometimes less mature, that teenagers. You think people in the big world dont throw around cursewords all the time? I hear more curse words being used everyday at work, then I would an entire week back when I was in highschool. 3) I believe things are fine the way they are. If you want to talk without a filter or more "advanced" community, you have the option to use programs like IRC, MSN, Skype, and other chatting applications. You can kick freely on these, and manage it how you want. I just dont feel a change on RS is really needed. It opens to many risk factors, means more time Jagex has to spend on abuse reports and things of that nature, which ultimatly means less time they spend on updates. Also I dont like the fact that if my kids were to have members, when im not around, they would easily be able to join an adult world without my permission. If I was not an observant parent and played this game as well, if your idea was the case, I would have no idea that my child could be talking with a possible peudofile, or someone that could endanger my child.
  14. ^ Agreed. Just because most everyone has good intentions, dosen't mean everyone does. There may only be 1 stalker/bad guy out of 10,000 people that play, but because of that 1 guy, we all have to have the restriction. Also, the fact there would be no 100% proof way to confirm someone is of age. I could see the situation comming up where Person A and B talk and get to know eachother, but Person A is bad and wants person B. Person A offers to pay for person B's membership. Now B is considered 18+ since she/he has person A's information on file. A situation like this could easily slip through the filter and Jagex wouldnt even notice, and could be held responsible for doing so. So while it may be 'useless' to some people, its not, as it is necessary to protect everyones safety. Think of it like this. In the world, would you want to remove all the stop signs at every intersection? Sure most people would still follow the rules stopping and watching for traffic, but there are the few who wouldnt, and will cause crashes, and potentially kill someone. And who is responsible for the death/crash? Its the government for not having the signs there in the first place. So who is responsible for anything that happens involving the game? Jagex. They do it to protect us, and their own company. No matter how annoying it may be. Not everyone has good intentions.
  15. Forget the suqah spots! We now have a quick and easy way to switch from normal magic to lunar!!<3<3<3
  16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcGt6rAdBCk&fmt=18 :) That's what I've been working on this week, and I must say it is awsome!
  17. I think the wallpaper is a display of how they were before they got corrupted by evil spirits and became undead. still they don't have to be pink the can be green or white :/ Ya they do, the lore and historys on them specifcailly says "pink color" so they cant really change them just cause "pink dosent look as cool". The pink kinda makes them stand out over other ghosts dont ya think? Makes you see they are not just a normal ghost like all the others.
  18. Ya they do, but in a recent Post Pete document where the Chaos Elemental wrote back, one of the lines was "A season in quick succession" refering to the latest season quest Spirit of Summer. Chances are this means that we wont have a long wait before the succession of the next season, eg. The next quest in this series, something relating to autumn.
  19. To Lower levels maybe, but a low level familiar should not be powerful. On higher levels however, there are. Example: The Hydra. This little guy can hit 18's with range or melee attacks (non-scroll), hits about the speed of a 2h, and gives 100% range xp. I use them at avians alot and they do a considerable ammout of damage, sometimes killing an avian before I do. The one downside is that is requires level 80 summon. Which is repectiable considering it would be overpowered if something like this could be used at say, level 40. So really familiar wise, there is something useful for everyone, you just might have to train to a higher level to find it.
  20. Well tehcnially thats true, but we're not saying the Elves and Vampyers are directly involved. Rather the Gnomes are possibly orchastrating a connection between the 2. Since we dont know what the ore is used for its not really possible to tell who the end user is, and therefore we cant tell exactly who is doing what for who and how many partys are involved. But if this isnt a bug then it shows some clear involvement with the east and the west trying to gang up on the humans. We already know the Gnomes are going to great lengths to ally with other civilizations (Ape Toll, Elves, Ect..) to eliminate the humans, so its not out of the realm of posability they are aranging some communication with the Vampyres and the Elves.
  21. It's Possible, but I was always under the impression that the bloodvelds were mutated because of the power emitting from the blood alter, and that caused them to become mutated and more powerful. [hide=Quest Spoiler Alert]Aside, we do know the gnomes and elves are closley related and are using King Lathas to move troops into Ardy. Looking to the east we can see Drakan is trying to overthrow the ballance and put Zamorak in charge. There is another connection however between Ardy and the eastern borders. That is Hazel. Its possible this ore is coveted by all Mahjarrat for some use. My Theory is, the gnomes, elves, and Mahjarrat are all working together and are using the ore to try and replicate the stone of Jas. Thus during the process they are causing pollution in the poison swamps. We do know the stone of Jas is the source of all magic and very closley related to RC, and both Moryania Quests and Elf quests are related to runecrafting. It's possible that is the missing link to all of this. Combining forces to replicate or find the stone in order to overpower saradomin forces from the east and the west... Its also possible that Drakan has no knowladge of the ore's uses and is simply supplying it to the gnomes/elves for whatever projects they are using it for to deform the creatures.[/hide]
  22. The problem is, any opertunity you have that allows friends to trade, RWT will creep in. No matter how difficult it might be. Trading with friends and RWT walk hand in hand. Its impossible to have one without the other. The lending system is about as close as it gets to player trading without limits, and even that is borderline to almost allowing RWT.
  23. lol? So wait? Your saying, you wouldnt get mad if there was no LS/CS, you go to 2 man Ara and you buddy gets 2 hilt drops in 50 kills, and you get nothing? You wouldnt be the slighest bit angry? Because free trading is never returning now matter how much anyone begs, your friend has no way of splitting with you. LS/CS on everyworld wouldnt be bad for us that do use it, but those that dont would have a right to complain because people can easily crash their kills. And with a location as popular as GWD, soloers would never get a chance. Also, making all the worlds LS/CS wouldnt solve the problem as all the worlds are already full anyways. Exactly. And this is why people all cram at bandos. And until the general population understands Zammy or the other bosses are not as bad as they think, bandos will continue to be crammed. Bandos is like the GWD training boss with teams. You can whack at him for hours without having to worry about taking alot of damage as long as you have a reliable tank. As for a solution to the whole problem, well there isnt one. Jagex wouldnt just make a boss harder because "more people hunt it". Look at the KBD for example. KBD is so outdated and overhunted its not even funny. I can personaly solo like 5-10 kills in one trip easy, and I'm not even *that* high of a level. You simply have to sit back and stick with it and spend time looking for worlds, even if you dont find one. Competition is one of the challeneges in GWD and if that was removed, the ammout of GWD items being put into the game would be greater than any demand for it. If every team that wanted to hunt bandos, had a free world to do so, we would see BGS/Bandos Plates ect.. in the hands of level 80's at a price less than they are now. So while full worlds is annoying, a limit on the ammout of places you can Boss Hunt is necessary.
  24. While your situation may also be the case, most times they say no because of the fact they are using lootshare. While lootshare is on, a ring of wealth has 0% effect on the drops. Stated by the RSKB: http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... cle_id=636
