Lol, it's funny how they think we are the nerds...
Eh, people are idiots. Today at clanwars I was teamed by 20 or so people mostly my level or lower. So, because it's the logical thing to do, I turn on my prayer. Then I get called a prayer noob. So i attacked the person who called me that and they turned on their prayer. Hypocrisy forthewin? Then I start taking a good bit of dammage, and I have a full load of lobbies. "Why not use them if I have them?" I thought to myself. I eat a few and what happens. "Omg fatty!" "Haha u fat" "Eater noob" "To weak to win without eating". So I ignore them and keep doing what I'm doing. I kill maybe 5 or 6 of them and then run out of food. "So I run and hug some trees and rock walls. Of course, this makes me a "runner noob" and I should "fight like a man." Just my little story to share, amazing how idiots group together, eh?

His Dark Materials - Parental right violation?
The people who have said this have always struck me as idiots who feel the need to be i control of every little thing. I mean really, what happens if Harry Potter is ment to promote witch craft to children? What happens if some kid gets the idea to grab a stick, point it at another kid and yell "Avada Kadavra!"? Is green light going to come out of it and kill the person its pointed at? Hell no. And if you think it will, you shouldn't be reading those books. The fact is it's a story not reality. This is similar to the Golden Compass series (of which I am a fan). Oh no! The book dismisses the christian religion as a "very powerful and convincing mistake." If you're worried about your child taking this as a truth, discuss with him/her why you belived it is wrong. Use it as an chance to learn, don't dismiss the entire book as athiest or anti-christian because of a few minor aspects. It's a great book, but it's not one that is directed at kids. The book is probably aimed for 13+ and will probably be understood fully people a few years older than that (I read the series at around 10 years old, but didn't really understand it untill the last time I read it(14)). By the time you understand the symbolism behind the book, chances are that you've allready chosen what you belive in. If you really don't like the book just dont read it and let the people who do like the book read it. Thats my opinion on this, feel free to disagree because thats what this post is about, your right to either believe or disbelieve.

quit your ranting about the new updates of wildy and 3k lim!
Err... sticky? But yeah, your right, if they want something changed they should make suggestions to Jagex. All rioting will do is show Jagex if they do what you want, the rioting players stay in the game and keep giving them crap. Not a good incentive to give them what they want, eh?

Ha-Lets see how "strong" these ghosts are.
I steped out of clan wars by accident and got hit a 20 and then a 15. The worst part is, the things have such long range, I couldn't even see it. I doubt anyone can take down the strongest ones in f2p.

Affects of updates
I stopped reading after that. A pker is lucky to get full rune and a dds, maybe a dharoks helm. No one will skull with a phat. I have a picture of a guy in the wilderness with full zammy and a blue phat. He attacked me (making him skulled) and needless to say, I lost lol. He was an exception though, it's probably a one in a million thing. Oh and on topic: Use the dang sticky!

Lame names.
Give me a break, I was 11 (yes, playing younger than 13 was allowed and Runescape was a game for everyone, so no one give me crap about being too young) when I made my name, and the numbers were by choice, because I messed up my first two accounts (legolas616 and legolas6162) and kept adding numbers. I also didn't expect to play Runescape long, I was just going on to hang out with friends. I kinda like Skull Emblem though, it's origional.

The strong adapt, the weak quit
Better title: The strong stay or leave, the weak complain about every little thing wrong, ignore the good parts, and think rioting will get jagex to fix it. A bit long, but the truth in my opinion. If you want to stay, good for you. If you want to leave, more power to you. If the part of the game you enjoyed is gone, why stay?

The Effect of the New Updates on the Runescape Economy
Don't worry, I was plenty interested, I can't pay attention to anything. :XD: I'd think that closer to 90% of autoers would be reduced, because now that they can't sell the items the obtained, and then sell the gold for real life money, or give the gold to a main account which gives them no real incentive to continue autoing. I understand what you're saying though.

The real world is a pretty nice place to be, probably somewhere I should visit more often :-w . Good luck, and have some fun. Runescape has lost a great person, and lots of people will miss you.

Ruined Scape - The Breakdown
Free market is the polar opposite of communism. Stop thinking "control = communism" because it's so much more than that. Yeah, the whole "Oh no, were limited, therefore this is communism" mentality is completly off. In an ideal communist state, everything is equal between people, regardless of their profession. Does every job make you the same ammount of money? No. Does everyone have an equal ammount of wealth? Once again, no. Untill it is impossible to make money independentaly, everyone has the same ammount of items, and you are given a fixed amount that is dependent on the total amount of money and the amount of people playing, Runescape won't be communist. Totalitarianism might be a better analogy for you to use. My statments may not be 100% correct, as I have limited knowledge on the subject. You do have valid points however. I liked how you put up the positives and negatives for everything, making your argument much more respectable. Yes, Jagex needs to make changes, like changing the 3k limit's and the 5% control on GE prices. I think that this was just a quick fix by Jagex though, and they will change their ways to be more "accommodating" to legitamite players. P.S. You forgot that combat can still be used for monster hunting :-k .

The Effect of the New Updates on the Runescape Economy
Seems like you put alot of work into this, so good job to you =D> . I'm sorry to say however, my attention began to drift a little way in, so I may have missed your point or some of your reasons. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I think you're trying to say that without the pkers the supply of items that were commonly used by pkers will continue at the same pace as before, but since the pkers are gone (aka demand drops) the amount of the objects being sold will be much more than being used, causing the prices to drop. The new update DID get rid of the pkers but also stopped macros, by removing their ability to sell the gold or give it to a main account, therefore making autoing a waste of time. Because of this I feel that not just the demand would drop, but the supply would aswell. Also Jagex's stiff control over the prices stop massive decreases or increases in a short ammount of time. If the people at Jagex really wanted to, they could make the prices remain exactly how they are now, and beyond 3k above or below per 15 minutes, we couldn't do anything about this. However, I could be wrong about this, as I'm no expert in Runescape's economy. Even though the demand goes down, I think autoers being removed will easily make up for this. Infact I think we may even see an increase in these items. Only time will tell. :-$

So how can we share loot evenly?
Wow, an intelligent rant trying to actually find solutions, instead of complaining about the update or complaining about the people who complain. I had a few ideas on how to fix them, the best by far being auto selling as suggested before. They could base who gets a portion of the drop off either being within 20 squares of the drop (and in the clan chat) or an amount of damage done to monster that dropped the item. It would also probably be a good idea to make it so you can only split with people ranked as a friend or above in your chat (possible make this something you can customize?). Maybe Jagex could make it customizable how much a drop is worth before it is automatically being sold. I'm trusting that Jagex will make a change to the system they have now, and I'd like to see what their ideas on how to change this are. I think that they will probably have a solution to this problem before the 3k limit (not sure who the hell decided that was a good number :shame: ) comes into affect.

What do you do for fun now?
Fun people 30 levels lower than me and lose on purpose \ Talk to friends, go to bh on my noob accounts and attack random people, and any other pointless activity you can think of.

Tip.it Times Presents: What the heck was THAT?
Qeltar, brilliant article. You stated everything I was thinking in a calm collective way. I especially agree with the part about the path to Hell being paved with good intentions. Thanks for the read.

Right now I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I'm angry at Jagex, and with good reason. But the thing is, it doesn't really hurt me all to much. I can't give anything to my friends, but other than that I never really do anything the update destroyed. I don't use runners for runecrafting and I rarely pk and I only do that for fun anyways. On the plus side I can now duel, wear team capes, and have more bank space. I think I'd miss all of my friends to much to leave. I'm probably just going cut back on how much I play. I'm still unhappy with jagex though, and I may go back to quitting. I hope you consider staying, but if you don't... bye.

Talk about a Buzz Kill!
Summoning was released to cover their butts. I hope it's a great skill for everyone who keeps playing.
