Yeah man. And let's implement permadeath while we're at it. Runescape isn't dangerous enough. For example, if you get PK'd or killed by a monster, you respawn with only a percentage of your stats and lose all of your items. I am for this - especially for PK. It would put some real risk vs. reward into that aspect of the game and thin out the problem children at the same time.

That says to me that this update will involve new ashes and that stockpiling current ashes is fruitless (unless you really think that burning logs will be a new indirect source of prayer XP). I see this update making certain slayer assignments a bit more attractive, but nothing revolutionary.

I quite agree. I can see why they put a cash stipulation on buybacks - if they hadn't, they would be inundated with requests. Asking a hefty price tag is a way to weed out the chaff. But still, I have problems with this even being an option. The only possible acceptable reason would be as an admission that your past attempts at bot detection were complete [bleep]-ups and that a lot of innocents were netted. I remain skeptical that this was the case, and I haven’t seen any mea culpa statements from Jagex.

This sounds like what you are talking about, but I don't think Jagex is using it yet. I also don't know if it's available outside the USA. But I have been seeing it more and more on Internet shopping sites.

As others have stated, people in the game love to play WBM and go "bot hunting" :rolleyes: I mean, what are you supposed to do at the GE, waiting on trades: (1) talk about ones imaginary RL girlfriend(s) (2) dance around in circles (3) have an emote fit (4) brag about how much weed you smoke / how high you are (5) get some useful alching done via actual gameplay I think we can all agree (5) makes the most sense. Yet somehow, if you do (5) you are a freaking bot.
